Ashanti was my doula for my second VBAC and first home birth. From the first time I contacted her to after my birth she was incredibly supportive and caring. As a VBAC mom I know sometimes it can be hard finding truly supportive birth team Asanti has VBAC speciality which is really great too know the different support options for VBAC moms. I had a lot of prodromal labor with this pregnancy and she was supportive through the emotional ups and downs that comes with that. When it was really happening she came and was such a big help as this labor was much faster and more intense/painful then my previous labor was. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula! she also encapsulated my placenta and made us a keepsake. which I am so glad I have on the days my other toddlers are being a handful.
Thank You Ashanti.
I can not begin to list the ways Ashanti has been a blessing to me and my family! She has supported me since 2016 when I had my first child, and I am currently two weeks post-partum with my second, and know she is there for me every step of the way! She provided me with useful information before and during labor, and beyond into the post-partum period both times. She's extremely knowledgeable on breastfeeding as well. Ashanti offers one of a kind support, and I am forever thankful for her!
Ashanti with Women's Perinatal Service was an excellent doula for me throughout my pregnancy. She offered lots of support, and advice when I had complications such as allergic reactions, morning sickness, migraines, and gestational diabetes. My pregnancy was so much smoother because of her. I also didn't quite understand the gestational diabetes and she helped me with the diet and how to portion out and count my carbs to have good numbers. After the baby was born she helped me with breastfeeding and also helped me get my sons sugar levels up without him having to go to the NICU. He struggled with weight gain after leaving the hospital and she offered lots of support and advice to get him back up to his birth weight without having to supplement with formula. I highly recommend her and Women's Perinatal service. She is kinda, pleasant, and friendly.
