TWINS!  As soon as my husband and I found out that we were having twins, we knew we would need some help. Neither of us have family in the area, and here we were, about to embark on the greatest/biggest/most stressful/most rewarding journey of our lives. Enter Kimberly!

From the very first moment that Kimberly walked into our house, I immediately felt more at ease.  She came in, introduced herself, and I found her to be one of those people in life that you feel like you've known for years. She has this very easy-going manner which made her extemely easy to talk to, and to confide in when it came to things I was feeling insecure with as a new parent.  Kimberly listened to all of my frustrations, gave me pointers on everything from cleaning supplies to breastfeeding, and was a friend to me when I would wake up and stumble into the room, ready to pump.  All of that said, I haven't even mentioned her relationship with my children.  She treated my brand new baby boys like they were her own, showing them all of the affection, telling me how adorable and well behaved my little guys were, and feeding/caring for them so my husband and I could get some much needed sleep those first few weeks.

When we finally had to say goodbye to Kimberly at the end of our contract, we felt like we were both losing a member of the family and graduating "baby life" college in the same breath.  She gave us the tools that we needed to care for our infants, and showed us that there wasn't anything to fear when it came to taking care of our new family.

We could not be happier with our experience having Kimberly as our night doula, and plan on keeping in touch with her so she can see our little guys grow up.  If you're thinking about having someone come in and "save" you for that first chunk of parenthood, look no further.

We hired Kim to take care of our newborn twins for several weeks. She has been a great help and relieve for us, very friendly, reliable, caring, and knowledgeable. As first time parents, especially with twins, we are completely clueless on how to survive our first weeks with the babies. Kim came to our house almost everyday, taking care of the babies, as well as giving us a lot of tips on how to organize and care for the babies. She is also very adaptable, as we don't have a big place for the babies and herself. She is also very good with babies, soothing them, making sure that they are safe and comfortable, and very effective in feeding the babies so we can rest assured that the babies are in good hands. We kept her longer than we originally planned and would like to have her longer had we have not moved to another city afterwards. She is definitely beyond our expectation and we highly recommend Kim!

I highly recommend Kimberly Cleeland as a post partum night Doula.

Kimberly was recommended to me by a couples therapist who knows my husband and me well. He had hired Kimberly as a Doula when his son was two or three months old and he had a glowing, personal recommendation for us as well as some sound advice about ensuring that we get enough sleep to enjoy being new parents. Knowing how hard it can be to secure top professionals in Los Angels, I met and booked Kimberly months ahead of my due date.

We started with Kimberly three nights after we returned form the hospital. I was nervous about letting a stranger into such an intimate time in our lives but she fitted in perfectly. She helped me to breast feed through the night by guiding me on technique with feeding as well with burping and soothing and gave me confidence to sleep when my body most needed it to heal and recover.

Kimberly gave me confidence in a lot of other ways also. She gave me the confidence to listen clearly to my baby rather than swoop in whenever he was grumbly or a little upset. That helped me better understand my baby and helped my baby become an excellent self-soother. She and I 'stretched' his sleep in the mornings so that at two months he was sleeping an average of 10-12hr/night without 'dream' or night feedings.

Kimberly included me in each triumph of sleep. She didn't make me feel as if only she could sooth my baby. She always behaved and used language that acknowledged and congratulated my collaboration with her over those first months with my newborn. We were an excellent team.

I kept Kimberly on for longer than I'd initially planned because my husband travels for work and the prospect of doing all days and nights alone made me anxious so I had Kimberly by my side for aboyt 3.5 – 4 months in total.

Kimberley is an amazing doula, I couldn't have made it through the first months without her. My son was sleeping peacefully through the night in no time! I'm so very thankful for all your services. Thank you for being patient with the many questions I had, being a first time mom. :)
