Where do I even begin to express my gratitude for Lisa, my incredible doula? My journey to motherhood was filled with twists and turns, from an unnecessary cesarean to physicians concerned about borderline blood pressure. But then, with Lisa's unwavering support, I achieved my dream of a successful VBAC at 42 weeks plus one day. Lisa didn't just provide support; she empowered me to advocate for myself from day one. Her wealth of knowledge and guidance didn't just shape my birthing experience; it transformed me into an advocate for informed motherhood. Thanks to Lisa, I not only got the birth I wanted but also gained a wealth of knowledge that I now pass on to my friends embarking on their own journeys into motherhood. If you're on the hunt for a doula for any stage of your pregnancy journey, look no further. Lisa isn't just a doula; she's a game-changer!

Lisa was amazing. I decided to switch to a freestanding birth center for an unmedicated birth around 30 weeks pregnant. It was during covid in early 2020 so I didn't want to go anywhere near a hospital. I got in contact with Lisa and she jumped right in to support my and my baby during birth. I'm not sure how I would have managed without her. She was very personable and easily understood the type of care I needed from her. I am now pregnant with twins and will most likely ask for her assistance again. I highly recommend Lisa, it has been a few years since I employed her as my doula but I am sure she has only grown since then!

Highly recommend Lisa! I wanted an unmedicated delivery and would not have achieved that without her. She's an incredible, calm, support person in the delivery room. Knowledgeable on spinning babies and other birth education.

Lisa was an absoluite life-saver from beginning to end. From the very beginning, she has been extremely friendly, kind, knowledgable, available, and resourceful for my wife and me. She prepped us so well with resources and knowledge sharing. During the labor process, she came in to really help us along throughout the process. She was a champion for my wife and me, and we could not have done it without her. Postpartum care was absolutely wonderful as well. She helped us process through the events and helped us through the healing journey from labor and delivery.

We had a wonderful experience with Lisa. She was fantastic from start to finish. As this was our first child, we had a lot of questions and Lisa was a wonderful resource throughout the pregnancy and an especially wonderful support during early labor at home. If it weren't for her, we would've gone to the hospital much too early! She was also fantastic in letting us know what information we needed to ask for when we got to the hospital and then was also really helpful at the hospital in talking us through our options. We would absolutely use Lisa again!

When I was planning my unmedicated birth, I knew that I needed to hire a doula to support me, and Lisa was exactly what we needed! She has so much knowledge and experience around everything labor and delivery, from answering questions when I was pregnant to knowing exactly what to do to support me and my husband during the labor of my little girl. I had a 21 hour unmedicated birth at Inova Fairfax and wouldn't have been able to do it without her. Throughout my back labor Lisa provided text support while I was still comfortable laboring at home, she suggested different ways to manage my pain with my husbands support. Then once I decided to go to the hospital Lisa supported me through 8 hours of labor with constant encouragement, massage for pain relief, and suggesting different positions to get my baby girl in the best position for things to progress. This was my first baby, and I would recommend Lisa to any mom that wants endless support and encouragement and advocacy throughout their labor!

I really loved working with Lisa. I wasn't sure I needed a doula, but wow, am I glad she was there. Lisa was such a great resource of information and helped educate me on so much before and during birth. I had to have an induction, and she had tons of information, including questions to ask to make an informed decision. Most importantly, she was clear that she was supportive of whatever decision I made. She also was really helpful in providing support to my partner. We had a really tough birth, and she was right by our side through it all and followed up with us in the hours/days that followed. It really meant a lot to me and I can recommend Lisa without hesitation. It's some of the best money I've ever spent.

I wasn't sure if I was going to have a doula and I am so thankful we decided to book with Lisa! Lisa was such a comfort and encouragement throughout the end of my pregnancy and during labor. Lisa is kind, considerate, friendly, organized, and very knowledgeable. She would listen to my concerns and address any questions that I had. I loved how Lisa provided a Google Drive with articles and items that helped me learn what to expect throughout the labor process. Lisa is also very comfortable to work with. Labor can be such a scary time and it meant so much to have Lisa there. We also appreciated that Lisa was able to walk my husband and I through different positions for labor and we didn't have to remember what to do. I would definitely work with Lisa again during our next pregnancy!

My husband and I debated on hiring out a doula for the majority of my first pregnancy. In the final stretch, my anxiety had completely taken over and I knew we needed one with us. Thank ALL the stars above for Lisa. She guided us through every inch of the process. My pregnancy was low risk/no complications, but having Lisa available to debrief every appointment in the third trimester made all the difference in keeping my stress/anxiety levels low. When it was finally “go time”, we felt comfortable laboring at home for as long as possible knowing we had Lisa just a phone call away to support us. While we had an awesome team of midwives, we still didn’t know who would be in the delivery room with us. The second Lisa walked in, I completely relaxed and felt I had an expert I could really trust walking me through the birthing process. I didn’t have to Google what was going on or try to remember everything about how to use a peanut ball - Lisa was there to be my brain when it had completely left the building during active labor! A few hours later, our sweet baby boy joined us just as relaxed and content as I had been through our delivery! In hindsight, my husband says hiring Lisa was the best decision we could have made for such a life changing moment. If you’re on the fence, this is your sign to “do it”! You won’t regret it! Thank you Lisa!

Lisa is simply the best. I labored for a full 48 hours and she was so accommodating, meeting us at the hospital then spending a few hours with me at home to instruct on exercises I could do to get my baby out! Even more than that, though, she was an amazing and supportive friend to just talk to through it all. I wanted a natural birth, but ended up with the epidural so labor could progress She encouraged me the whole time, even the small times I felt like I'd failed. You will not regret having Lisa as your doula. She was one of my favorite parts of my birthing experience!

Choosing Lisa to be my doula was probably the best decision I made for myself during my pregnancy. From our very first consult, I felt her warmth and genuine care, and I knew that she had the knowledge and presence I needed to support me through my first pregnancy and birthing experience. As a first time mom who was anxious and ovewhelmed at times, the resources, support, and encouragement Lisa provided throughout my pregnancy and birth helped me feel calm, confident, and capable. She also made sure that my husband's needs and desires were heard and met and that he was supported too as my primary teammate. During labor and delivery, Lisa had such a warm and comforting approach as well as lots of helpful ideas and comfort techniques and some extra special touches (like honey sticks and lavender spray). Even the labor and delivery nurses and my midwife loved having her there and commented to me about how great she was. Lisa will always hold a special place in our birthing story and in our hearts, and I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Lisa was exactly who we needed by our sides on the journey to our first baby! The final weeks of pregnancy leading up to labor and delivery are physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. Lisa was such a calming and supportive presence. She provided prenatal support and comfort measures that helped ease both physical and emotional strains. She provided my husband and I with educational support so we could be prepared, informed and as confident as possible entering the hospital and parenthood. Included in this educational support was birth plan guidance, so we could advocate for the preferences we had once we arrived to the hospital. We had Lisa by our side through early labor and her comfort measures and skillset was invaluable during this time! Lisa is so knowledgeable, loving and positive. She will help you navigate your pregnancy and labor in a way that is best for you! I can't wait to have Lisa continue to support our growing family in the future. It is clear that she is passionate about being a Doula and supporting moms and partners through this beautiful experience!

Lisa was very friendly and informative. Although she was not able to physically be at the birth with me, she prepped me with so many tips and information that made my L&D less scary and more comfortable. I was able to really understand everything the nurses were saying and doing because of Lisa's knowledge. I had to be induced and even before knowing that would happen to me, Lisa told me all about it "just in case!" She checked in with me very often and answered all my questions, making sure I had everything I needed. I was very upset that she couldn't be in the room with me due to COVID-19. I told her that I'm not having a second child without her being there with me! It will make L&D so much easier having that extra support and she really knows what she is doing and is so warm and friendly! She makes new mamas feel very comfortable.
