We are thankful for Isis and for the support she's provided our family. From the beginning she has been caring, present, and very knowledgeable. Her guidance and helping hands have proven instrumental in my journey of becoming a mother and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

And to think, I was referred to her by chance. As a first time mom, I was sure of at least two things. 1, I wanted a natural birthing experience and 2, I desired peace of mind. I have become all too familiar with the threat this healthcare system poses to those of us birthing while Black, and I sought an alternative experience with minimal stress and intervention.
I sought doula support because, again, first time mom no idea what I'm doing, and we live far away from family. Unfortunately, my search for a doula was a bust. I didn't know where to look, I guess. I even got a book written by a Black doula as a surrogate. So time passes and one day I am meeting with another student for advice on how to get into a phd program. When I mention to him that I'm pregnant, he refers me to Isis.

Our first conversation left me feeling reassured. I was like, finallyyy, and omg Black doulas do exist outside of major cities. Plus, we vibed.
Since then we've utilized several of Isis' services, including postpartum care and placenta encapsulation. She's a good cook, so that was a huge plus and super helpful as we adjusted to life with a newborn. She also put us on game for all things cloth diapering. Lastly, I am most appreciative of Isis' resourcefulness. She is tapped into an active network that provides everything you'd need to know about experiences such as home birth, breastfeeding, and living with postpartum depression.

Again, I recommend Isis for all of your birthing, postpartum, and maternal needs. She is authentic, conscious, and exudes a positive, nurturing energy
