Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for visiting my profile and I look forward to learning about you and your baby on the way. My goal is to support the birth you want, and help you advocate for what you wish to experience during your labor and birth. As someone open to all backgrounds, I strive to be available to support all situations. While I do have a standard birth fee, I am open to a sliding scale for those who need it or discussing a payment plan. My duty is to ease your pregnancy, labor and birth concerns during the time I will be on call for you. This is such a special time in your life and as a doula, I want you to feel empowered and in control of how you would like your birth to go! I can’t wait to speak to you and I hope you choose me to be a part of your birth team!

Post a testimonial for Caitlin Martin
10/1/2021
We don’t have any family in the area to help with our three other children who are 6, 5, and 2, so for past pregnancies my mom was able to come in from out of town to assist with the kids. However, with Covid and her health concerns, we knew that my husband needed to stay with the kids while I was in delivery. I did not hesitate to reach out to Caitlin as soon as we knew we needed help. I am so grateful that she was able to take me on as a client! I was not due until the end of October and six days after the start of school this year one of my kids contracted Covid from a school exposure. It spread through our family very quickly. Luckily myself and my husband are vaccinated, however, my symptoms were difficult and blood pressure became a problem. I was advised to go in to get checked out at the maternity ward, which was two weeks earlier than my due date. Whether the early onset of labor was contributed to Covid it was not made clear, but nonetheless I was Covid positive, in labor, and was being prepped for a c-section. Luckily, we had a game plan with Caitlin. After baby was born, Caitlin went above and beyond and stayed with me for three nights all the way until discharge to assist me and baby while in recovery. I don’t know what I would have done without her. Recovery is hard enough and recovering from a c-section during the first couple of days is especially difficult where movement is more restricted versus a vaginal birth. I just cannot say enough nice things about how instrumental Caitlin was during the c-section and the days afterward in the recovery room. Caitlin is the best advocate for mom and baby and her presence turned this last pregnancy into a positive experience; given the twist of events. Please do reach out to Caitlin to get to know her. I can guarantee you will not meet a more supportive person to help comfort, encourage, and advocate for you during your delivery.
