We could not be more pleased with our experience with Abby! She is like a part of our family after having her as our doula for the birth of our child.  I honestly don't know how a woman goes through labor and delivery without a doula! She was also an amazing support to my husband so he was educated, could advocate for us, and could best support me. He raves about Abby!
We knew at our first time meeting Abby that we wanted her to be our doula. Our expectations were exceeded from our first session and on. Abby had great strategies to help my husband and I better understand what we wanted in our birth story and to become better educated in options. Abby very clearly took the time to get to know each of us and what we wanted.
Our birth story took so many turns from our "ideal." I felt like we were constantly pivoting. During our first unexpected induction, Abby was our life line. She helped us better understand what was going on, our options that weren't always offered by healthcare providers, and questions we could ask of the team. She was a phone call or text away during this time, and she significantly reduced my stress.
She continued to be our resource after the first failed induction. When I finally went into labor, she was with us at the hospital from early morning until late that night after baby arrived. I never would have been able to labor and deliver without pain intervention had we not had Abby with us. I was asking about pain intervention early on even though it wasn't my "plan." Abby was consistently redirecting me to help us have the birth we wanted. I owe our natural-as-possible birth to her.
I cannot explain the value of her postpartum service. Abby helped me process and heal from the unmet expectations of our labor and delivery. She helped me to know more about who I am as a laboring mama should we have another child. If we are blessed with another child, we will definitely ask Abby to be our doula again!

It’s hard to find the words to describe the transforming event of birthing your child. We were so grateful to have Abigail. She & I work in the same profession so I myself am no stranger to birth/postpartum. I asked Abigail to attend because I love her natural temperament & I knew I wanted some photos captured. She went above & beyond any & all expectations we had. Her emotional & physical support was perfect. I don’t like to be bothered in labor. She knew when to leave me be & when/how to help. This is a skill that takes a truly intuitive person. Thank you so much Abigail. We will cherish these moments for the rest of our lives.

Finding a doula can be easy, but find a GOOD doula can be hard. My husband and I spoke with a couple of doulas before we found Abigail. When Abby messaged me, she made a typo – instead of post-partum, it wrote out post petunia. The petunia made me think about my mother, who had just passed. She loved flowers and grew all kinds of them all summer. I felt Abby was the one for us and met with her. I told my husband we found the one. Since the first time meeting Abby, she was kind, open, knowledgeable, and very genuine. She helped us with a birth plan and when we went to the hospital and my birthing option had to change, she was there to make sure I knew what my options were. She knew I didn’t want anyone in the room except my husband and her and when unexpected visitors showed up, she noticed my contractions started spacing out. She knew my body was not relaxed and my mind was not on the baby. She suggested a warm bath to help me relax and for the visitor to leave – which they did – and soon after my contractions came back. My husband and I knew we weren’t able to tell them to leave, so it was a blessing that she was able to help us maneuver around that situation without hurting anyone’s feelings. Giving birth is one of the hardest things I've ever done and I am so happy and appreciative that Abby was there with us. It takes a special person to be able to do this and she is that person. Thank you so much Abby!

Abby was there for me, my husband and our baby from the day we decided to have her be our doula. She is very professional and knew what were needed before we did! She was very supportive and knowledgeable about my interest in having an unmedicated water birth. I found she was always able to explain the options associated with labor, delivery. and newborn care which made it easy for me to write a birth plan. The day I went into labor she kept me calm over the phone and texting. It was always easy to get a hold of her. At the hospital, she was amazing at doing it all; comforting me, coordinating with the medical staff and advocating for our birth plan, and supporting my husband and my mom (the other members of my birth team). For example, she found out that putting pressure on my lower back was helping me get through contractions and then made sure there was someone applying that pressure for each one. She made our first birth experience so great and I would highly recommend her for any type of birth plan. We couldn't have done it without you Abby!
