Liz is absolutely amazing and exactly the kind of coach, advocate, cheerleader, and friend that i would wish for every person giving birth.  She was there for me, and my husband, every step of the way.  Her knowledge of the birth process, especially when it came to my plan for a medicated hospital birth, had such a positive impact on my experience. Liz is data-centric and honest which helped me make some tough decisions, but she also brought the positivity and humor that i needed in order to get through those long hours. I look back on my labor with a fond memory of us sitting up chatting late at night, as she helped me through my anxiety. During my delivery she coached me through pushing and made me laugh when I needed it. Having Liz present meant that my husband and I were able to enjoy each other and stay focused on the excitement we shared knowing our girl was on the way.  Liz worked with the hospital team to ensure we were always well informed and kept everything very low-stress.  She knew the right questions to ask and the right requests to make. The hospital staff really appreciated Liz’s demeanor and professionalism, and they absolutely loved the visual birth plan that we made. Even with all the research we did, Liz’s expertise made a world of difference.

Liz was a wonderful Doula, the perfect combination of evidence based and supporting my desire to do things as naturally as possible. We were first time parents and she provided us with helpful resources from the very beginning -- from recipe books for meal prepping that would help my post-partum recovery, to useful podcasts, and chapters in books that would help my husband be a good partner to me on the journey. She brought a great energy and sense of humor to the experience, and was very good at navigating the different personalities in the labor and delivery room and keep things "light". She knew all of the tips and tricks -- like getting me a popsicle when I was thirsty right before I began pushing! She enhanced our room with essential oils and tea lights and helped me get into good positions to optimize my labor and contractions. She also helped me realistically navigate my choices as they came up and helped me keep perspective and hold my plan loosely and adapt when it was time. She also provided us with great information and resources in the aftermath of my birth as I figured out breastfeeding and overall recovery. My husband was a big fan or hers as well and we'd definitely recommend her and would use her again!

Liz was so helpful before, during, and after the birth of our son. She met with us several times leading up to the birth and always had good questions and suggestions for us to help us prepare. During labor was when Liz's skills really shone - she had several techniques for pain management and massage that helped me reach my goal of having an unmedicated birth! She was also a fantastic support to my husband and helped him know what was "normal" and what he could do to help. Afterwards, she came over to make sure everything was okay and has answered several questions via text. We love our birth story and I think Liz played a huge role in making it such a positive experience for both of us.

I am so happy with my experience with our doula Liz Maxwell. As a first-time mom, I felt confident in Liz's evidence-based approach and her knowledge of spinning babies and massage techniques. Liz is professional, cheerful and altogether personable. She found ways to include my husband during pregnancy and in the hospital during the birth of our son. Together they made an awesome team who helped me execute my birth plan with minimal interventions despite having to be induced at 37 weeks. We have much love for Liz in our household and would definitely recommend her services to expecting parents.

We are so happy that we chose Liz as our doula! She helped us feel really well prepared going into labor, and was such a supportive presence in the L&D room. We wanted someone who would help us make the birth experience as comfortable as possible but with a practical, evidence-based approach, and Liz offered us both. She helped guide me through various labor positions to ease the pain of contractions, was really supportive of my decision to get an epidural when I did, and was a supportive presence for my husband, too, who felt like he could be more fully in the moment with her supporting me through labor. She was also incredibly helpful during her postpartum visit, especially with nursing, and we ended up hiring her for additional postpartum hours. I highly recommend Liz for both birth and postpartum support!

Liz is fantastic! She gave me the best experience i could have asked for.  She stopped whatever she was doing just to keep me company at the beginning.  I was a vba2c and she was aware that i needed to be at the hospital as soon as contractions started , even if the contractions were 10 minutes apart.  She wanted to experience what i have tried to experience since my first child with me.  She gave me companionship,  emotional support,  physical and as well as mental support. She has the biggest heart i have ever encountered.  I truly encourage anyone looking for a doula to pick Liz.  Y'all ladies will not be disappointed!!!!

Shout out to Liz! Thank you for everything!!!
