If you're seeking unwavering support and a transformative birthing experience, let me wholeheartedly recommend Katie. From someone who endured birth trauma and physical challenges previously, I can attest to the profound difference she made in my journey to an unmedicated birth. Katie showed me that birth can be beautuful.

On our first call, she listened carefully as I shared my past experience and desires for this birth. Her empathy was palpable, and her flexibility in accommodating our wishes reassuring. Throughout my pregnancy, Katie remained a constant source of support, always just a text or call away. She took a genuine interest in every aspect of my journey, from appointments to symptoms, providing invaluable resources and guidance along the way. Her emphasis on movement and optimal baby positioning proved incredibly helpful.

When I went into labor, she stayed by my side the whole time as I navigated an unmedicated birth. Her calming presence and expertise were a steady anchor. She intuitively knew when to step in and when to let me navigate on my own, empowering me throughout the process.

After my baby was born, she stayed until we settled on the postpartum floor. Her professionalism was impeccable, yet her warmth and genuine care never wavered. That continued through the postpartum visits when she brought homemade food and helped with other things, including figuring out babywearing. From navigating insurance matters to providing personalized resources, she went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless.

Katie isn't just an exceptional doula; she's a truly remarkable person. Her innate gift for this work shines through in every interaction, and I feel incredibly grateful to have had her by my side. I wholeheartedly endorse Katie to anyone seeking a truly transformative birth experience. Trust me, you're in the best hands possible.

Katie is an amazing doula! I chose her to be my doula because she has a calm personality, and she spent most of our initial interview listening to our concerns about what we were looking for in a doula. This was going to be my fourth time giving birth, so I knew what I was looking for. I’m so glad we chose her. First, she has a strong faith which guides her vocation. Second, she is a seasoned mom as she has three children of her own. Third, she has a variety of experience as a doula in different settings with mothers of different backgrounds.

Towards the end of my pregnancy, I experienced a lot of false or prodromal labor. Many times I thought I was in real labor, but it turned out they were false alarms. Katie helped me through those moments so that we could assess realistically what was going on.

The night I truly went into labor, Katie arrived promptly at the Our Birthing Center in Morristown. Throughout my labor, Katie was so supportive and encouraging. She constantly told me what a great job I was doing, even though I didn’t think so myself! I was in so much pain and the contractions were very difficult, but she talked me through all of them. She also assisted my husband and I by getting us drinks, snacks, and anything else we needed.

When it was time to give birth, her support was unfailing. After my baby boy was safely delivered, she took photos with our cell phones and with her professional camera. During those all-important, precious moments after birth, she continued to be a support to us. She assisted in serving us our breakfast and she made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I was so touched by her humility and willingness to serve. She embodies the true meaning of a doula, which means “servant,” in this case a priceless one. I don’t know what I would have done without her. If you are looking for someone to support you wholeheartedly, then Katie is the doula for you.
