If you are looking for a support person who will be there for you no matter what is thrown your way, Jen is that person. After a 44-hour marathon of a labor, emergency c-section and post surgery complications Jen was a calm and consistent presence helping my partner and I work through endless contractions, new information, and complications. She is encouraging, caring, and gentle, guiding me to be in control and take each obstacle as it came even when they felt insurmountable. We are incredibly grateful for her pre and post birth support as well and whole heartedly recommend her.

I worked with Jen during the pregnancy and birth of my daughter, who is now eight months old. I truly cannot imagine having gone through this experience without her. After issues with infertility and a previous miscarriage, my anxiety throughout my pregnancy was high. Jen provided the calming presence my husband and I needed, ensuring we were educated about our options, talking us through our worries, and preparing us for labor and delivery. Her support during labor was essential - I truly believe that her coaching prevented me from having a C-section, allowing me to vaginally deliver a healthy baby girl even though I had to push for 3.5 hours. Jen's attention to the details was also incredible - she made sure we had everything we needed, down to ordering dinner before the kitchen closed in the hospital. Jen is a gem - her kind heart and expertise are unmatched.

Words can't express how much me and my husband were grateful to have Jen as our doula! We couldn't have asked for a kinder, more attentive and supportive doula! When we first had our meeting she had a variety of information to read, watch and study. She was always open and available to answer our questions no matter the time as we prepared for our labor/delivery. She consistently checked up on us leading up to the day.

I had a faster than usual labor because of the medication the midwives gave me (they worked a little to well). I labored for about 2 hours before it was time to push and Jen showed up at the hospital almost immediately. She stayed with me for labor, delivery and even after! It was an emotional delivery, she was there holding my hand the whole time reassuring me that it was all going to be ok and that I was strong. Her emotional support for me and my husband was amazing. Also, she was there with her personal camera ready to capture all the important moments for us! We were grateful that we didn't  have to worry about how we were gonna have pictures taken for some memories.

After I had my son and went home, I called her a few times (kinda stressed) for some advice about breastfeeding and about my baby in general and she was available to answer all the questions and put me at ease. When everything settled at home, Jen came over with some home cooked food for us (which was delicious). She made sure we were ok mentally and asked if everything was going smooth at home with the baby. She literally has been there every step of the way from beginning to end and even after that!

I'm glad my son gained an Auntie Jen, she still checks up on me and my family to this day. When we plan on having our second one Jen will definitely be my choice again! We can't thank her enough!

Having Jen as my doula for our third birth brought such a peace of mind. Our prenatal meeting with her was so informative and encouraging. She has such a caring and nurturing aura that made my husband and I feel at ease, and was helpful with answering our questions, and providing resources as we prepared for our third baby’s entrance! With my pre-existing condition, she was proactive in helping my husband and I plan for all outcomes of labor and delivery, so that when I did end up having a c-section, I was well-informed. She was able to be in my post-op room and help me initiate breastfeeding right away with our newborn daughter.

Her postnatal visit was so lovely! She provided a nutritious and delicious meal for us, including homemade muffins and granola for our breakfast the next day. Even before and after her visit, I have always been able to text questions to her and she’s been quick to respond.

Although we weren’t able to use her in person for our first two births, Jen was still an incredible resource for questions I had about my newborn, postpartum and breastfeeding. We are so grateful for her, and I cannot recommend her enough to use as an amazing birth support doula for having your first, or seventh, baby!

I cannot begin to say enough great thing about Jen! From our first phone call to postpartum, Jen has been a continuous support system for my family and I. We decided to pursue a doula pretty last minute (37weeks) and Jen was extremely accommodating and compassionate to our situation. Feeling lost in the big medical system space, Jen provided compassion and care at the times we needed it most. She is warm, responsive, attentive, and provided advocacy and support throughout the entire labor and delivery system. I knew after our first meeting jens profile and testimonies were true to her character and I cannot recommend her services more!

We are so glad we found Jen as our doula for our first birth experience! I decided in the last few weeks of my pregnancy that I wanted to find a doula for support and Jen was the best decision. I ended up needing to have an emergency induction at 37 weeks and she was a a great guide in helping me figure out what I wanted and needed for my birth plan since I was new to the process and a little overwhelmed with all the decisions to make. She helped us type up the birth plan and even picked up snacks and a water bottle for us. Throughout the whole process, Jen was extremely flexible, attentive, and supportive- even in the midst of my original due date changing dramatically. Her presence and demeanor were both calming and reassuring in the delivery room, and both my husband and I were so grateful to have her as an integral part of our labor & birth. She even captured some great photos of the first moments post delivery that we are so happy to have! Do not hesitate to reach out to her :)

Jen is an angel. I can't imagine hiring another doula. Not only is she patient, kind, and knowledgeable, she's hilarious and one of those people you just want to be around. I was terrified of labor and delivery, but Jen walked me and my partner through everything and really built up my confidence. I had a hard 27 hour labor, Jen was there with us the whole time and is a big part of how I got through it. Also, her cooking and baking skills are next level!!

Where to begin?! Being pregnant during a pandemic was emotional and stressful to say the least. Being that this was going to be our first baby and we would not be able to have any support at the birth from our families (what I had alwasy imagined). From having a birth plan to throwing it completely out the window with everything being so unknown. Thankfully we were connected with Jen!! She kept us grounded throughout my pregnancy. Although she could not be with me during my labor/birth physically due to unforseen issues that arose, she was every bit there for us emotionally and virtually. She stayed in communication with my husband during and after my labor, reassuring him along the way and checking in on what was going on and how I was doing. She prepared us as much as possible prior to baby's arrival. What I love about Jen is that she has such a calming spirit and when we first met her we immediately knew that we connected. I really liked that she had 3 little babes of her own and she had them all different ways. To me that was reassuring because she could speak to her own personal experiences and it made me feel confident in asking her questions. She was also so great at looking at the overall picture and asking us what we wanted or expected throughout the pregnancy. She reminded me what I wanted (because she was great at taking notes from our meetings) and helped with sorting through questions I should ask my OB. Also, when course of actions changed and I changed my decisions, she was always encouraging and made me so feel confident. After our birth she came over to check on us and brought us the most wonderful scones and some tasty nutritious soup (that was so incredibly thoughtful and kind of her). Even after our final meeting she continued to check in and said I can always reach out with anything. I can't express my graditude enough and I highly recommend Jen if you are looking for a doula!! We love you Jen!!

Doula Jen was an absolute god-send for my husband and I.

We found out we were pregnant in late-January 2020, and six weeks in went into full quarantine for COVID. Our families could not visit, and I knew I would need someone in Los Angeles who I could trust and ask literally every question about labor of. I came hunting on DoulaMatch.net and found Jen. We had an intro phone call and we clicked right away. Her mantra of "normalizing birth in all its forms" really sang to me.

We met several times before labor and she texted with me in the days leading up. I was 3-days late from my due date and needed to be induced, which she helped me through as well. Not once did she try to convince me to do anything I didn't want to. She was amazing at letting me call the shots and backing up those decisions whole-heartedly once they had been made.

She did get to be in the room with me when I gave birth, and it was amazing having her there. She even took my phone and captured some really beautiful photos of my husband and I once our son had arrived.

From my husband's perspective, he says he knows doulas are meant to support the women giving birth -  however, he added quickly that he really appreciated Jen checking-in with him and leaving space for his needs as well. He felt like we both had someone taking care of each of us in the lead up to, during, and after our son's birth.

I cannot recommend Jen enough. She was always there when I needed her and went above and beyond to make me and my husband feel like old pros at childbirth. I can absolutely say my experience was 100% less frightening/anxiety inducing than I expected it to be, and I owe all of that to Jen being by my side.

I gave birth during the covid pandemic, things were crazy. I was super excited to find Jenn, because she was not only affordable, in a time when my husband lost work, and I was off for maternity, but she was also so friendly, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I spoke to a another doula who had been a doula for 20+ years and I truly couldn't find a huge difference between our consultations. I felt comfortable with both, and decided to work with Jenn because she actually has kids and has first hand experience with 3 different types of births. She isn't judgemental of any medicalized last minute decisions. She's super accepting of whatever our birth stories end up being, since birthing has a mind of its own.

As my due date neared I realized that I wanted to give birth at home or a birthing center instead of the hospital and I found a birthing center near by that would take me last minute. She was so supportive at my home for before we left, I was so afraid of being told to go back home until I was "ready". My active labor came unusually fast and i wasn't sure if I was in active labor or not. once she arrived to my home we timed and she witnessed my contractions and she gave the green light to head to the center. It was absolutely wonderful to have two hands to hold, and sometimes one person to get things I needed while another never left my side. My husband loved having her too, he said he's not sure if he could've done it all without her. She is so warm and welcoming, she really becomes part of your family quickly, we only met a couple times before the birth, but we felt like we knew her forever. She came to visits when we were ready for her to after the birth too. And had always been there for us prenatal and postpartum if I had any questions or concerns. I would Highly recommend Jenn, to be your doula, Doulas are invaluable, especially a great one like her!

Jen is fantastic.  She has attended the births of both of my children and there is no one I would rather have in the delivery room with me.  Her demeanor is so warm, supportive, and calming, and she was wonderfully helpful both in verbally encouraging and physically supporting me during both labors.  She stood behind me for hours putting pressure on my lower back during the worst parts of labor, she encouraged me with just the right words when I was getting tired, and she made a great team player with my husband, offering to be helpful where needed but never being invasive.  As labor intensified, Jen suggested comfort measures that I could say yes or no to, allowing me to stay focused on my own breathing and stay calm, knowing I had an attentive, responsive person there with me to help me through every contraction. She was so good at being attuned to what I needed throughout the whole process and always considerate of my preferences as each stage of labor progressed. She even offered to take photos for us in the delivery room once baby was born, capturing the first precious moments of meeting baby, and I'm so grateful she did that for us.  Jen was so available and supportive to me, especially in the final weeks of pregnancy when I needed to talk through aspects of delivery that I was uncertain about, and when I started second-guessing my birth plan, she was fantastic at listening, asking thoughtful questions, and helping me make sense of my most important priorities.  I knew she was absolutely committed to doing what she could to help me achieve the best birth possible, and I am so blessed that she could be there with me during two of the most formative moments of my life.  I would highly, highly recommend Birth with Jen to anyone!
