My husband and I had an amazing home birth, thanks to our doula Naamah. From our first meeting I had an immediate connection with Naamah. She is extremely knowledgeable in prenatal, birth and post partum care. She also made my husband and I feel very comfortable with our home birth choice. She is on call 24/7 and understands all the emotional needs of new parents.

Naamah not only assisted us in our birth plan she provided us with ways to have a comfortable birth and assisted my husband in really connecting with me during labor. When my I experienced early signs of labor she stayed with us for several days, going above and beyond to ensure a safe, spiritual experience. From massage to chores she handled everything with love and care.

During my labor I literally reached out to Naamah for support. I know that I could have never it without my husband and Naamah's "take charge" strength. Her voice, her touch and her presence made it all possible.

After our amazing birth she cooked dinner, cleaned and of course offered great amounts of support. I could go on for days about this amazing lady!!!! She is now part of our family and we all love her!

Naamah was truly a Godsend for our family. We had the pleasure of working with Naamah for two weeks when my son was around 2 months old. She provided us with overnight care, but we quickly wished we could have hired her for his birth experience, too! While some overnight care doulas will just focus on the baby and keeping them quiet, Naamah provided us with so much more. She advised me as a new mom navigating the difficult waters of going back to work, pumping, etc. She started advising on on healthy sleep habits, getting him ready for putting him on a sleep schedule. But it was not so she could sleep more - rather, any 'downtime' not tending to the baby directly was used to wash bottles, do laundry, tidy the home, and so much more. She consistently had an attitude of "What else can I do for you? Finally, and most importantly, we could tell she really care about our child and was always considering what was best for him. We are really going to miss her, but we are confident that she has equipped us as new parents to taking care of our son the best way possible.

We were referred to Naamah Herbert by another well-known doula company in the area. She came highly recommended and also offers very competitive pricing given how much knowledge and experience she brings to the table. We ended up hiring her to provide 2 weeks of postpartum night care for our 9 week old son during the last half of August 2019. He was a poor sleeper when she arrived and would not sleep in his crib for more than five minutes. Now he sometimes sleeps in his crib for 4+ hour stretches! Naamah in addition showed us many tips and tricks including how to burp him effectively, understanding and reading his cues better, etc. As a result, we are able to better communicate with him and he has turned into such a happy baby.

She also did light housework such as the baby's laundry, our laundry, cleaning/sweeping the hardwood floors, washing dishes, cleaning counter surfaces, etc. Naamah is a very diligent hardworker who puts her whole heart into everything that she does. We are sad to see her go because we feel she has become a part of our family. We highly recommend her for all of your doula needs!
