My husband and I have already recommend Fiona to two of our friends! She was amazing and we were so grateful to have her there with us for the birth of our daughter. Thanks to her I felt confident and in control during my entire labor. I don't remember all the things she said but I will always remember the way she made me feel. I met with five doulas to find someone with whom I felt a connection, and I knew as soon as I sat down with Fiona that she was the doula for me. Fiona is warm, open, organized, a clear communicator, and committed to evidence-based information. I was so glad to have her guiding me and my partner through the uncertainties of a first birth. My son came two weeks before his due date in the middle of the night; he came very quickly and my midwife didn’t make the delivery (an OB was pulled into the room). With all of this chaos, I was so grateful to have Fiona. She comforted me, translated medical jargon, suggested different positions during labour, gave my partner direction, held my thrashing body parts, and set me up with her tens machine when we realized there was no time for any pain management. Fiona’s presence really made a world of difference.

My partner and I had an amazing home birth with Fiona as our Doula. She was really accommodating with meeting us prior to labour and has in incredibly warm and open personality. She provided us with lots of information and tools around birth and postpartum care. Once my labour started, she arrived very shortly after us getting in touch and was a fabulous support throughout. We couldn't have done it without her!

We found Fiona through an indigenous grant program and she was so excellent. I felt instantly comfortable and Fiona went above and beyond expectations, including meeting with me when I was experiencing anxiety when I was overdue (I had a negative experience at my first delivery) and lending helpful books for our toddler to prepare for a home birth. Things didn’t go to plan and Fiona was so great at helping us through. She had helped prep us for what to expect. She really is very experienced and my second delivery went much better, in part thanks to her. She was a good support for my partner and I. She was very encouraging and knowledgeable, and she worked well with other people at our hospital delivery; she is obviously a professional. Additionally, she is also just a gem of a person. She is very available to her clients and never made me feel like a bother. I would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough positive things about Fiona.  She was amazing!!! not only is she knowledgable, she is 100% there to support you leading up to the birth and throughout.  She never left my side and I honestly can't imagine the birth without her.  She played so many roles throughout the process and always reassured and ensured I was doing okay.

She is born to do this work, and is the perfect combination of warm and assertive when it's needed.  She brought the TENS machine which I cannot say enough about.  In the midst of some pretty intense contractions the battery died.  i panicked.... but Fiona not only had back up batteries, she had another ready to go (which she quickly got set up, never skipped a beat).

She is calm, collected, warm, encouraging and supportive.  She is also just so lovely to be around, she is someone you want to keep in your life.  If you are looking for a doula, I can't recommend Fiona enough.

Thank you just doesn't suffice!

Hiring Fiona was one of the best things that I did to prepare for the birth of my first child. Within 20 minutes of meeting her I knew that she had to be my doula! She is such a nurturing, kind & supportive person, and it oozes out of her. Fiona is extremely professional and yet has a way of making you feel like family.
As part of her services you have access to her prenatal library, which I took advantage of. I was also treated to the use of her TENS machine from 37 weeks onwards, so I could try it out and see if I would like to use it during labour. (I did.)
From the time Fiona arrived during my labour she was by my side, holding my hand through contractions, guiding my husband in how to help me, encouraging me, doing hip squeezes, and being my voice and advocate…and a heck of a lot more. She was the reason I was able to get through 18 hours of un-medicated (back) labour. I could not have done it without Fiona. She will be one of the first people I call when I get my next positive pregnancy test.

Fiona saved my other half from a C-section. I firmly believe that!! during the labour Monika relied on her and she was a huge huge help. Without Fiona we would have paniced to a point of needing the cesarian. Fiona's expertise and knowledge were absolutely invaluble. i highly recommend Fiona for a Birth Doula. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS DECISION.

Fiona is an exceptional women who is passionate about her work.

She has assisted me with 3 natural births.The first and most emotionally difficult was an expected still birth. My husband and I are eternally grateful to Fiona for being there with us during that very difficult time.

Our second birth was our daughter, who with the help of Fiona I was able to deliver completely naturally. During this labor I had severe back pain. Fiona massaged my back and kept me calm, focused and relaxed.Our last birth was our son. Again Fiona assisted me in a completely natural childbirth.

Fiona's knowledge of childbirth and the stages of labor makes it very comforting and relaxing to both parents. There was no stress in timing contractions as Fiona did this for us, she did everything and was able to answer any doctors questions, this allowed me to remain focused and my husband to be calm. Once our babies were home, Fiona was available for questions day and night, this made the post partum period easy. Thank you  Fiona for your help during this wonderful time in our lives it is something we will always cherish.
