Hannah supported my family from the time that my son was in the NICU until he was 2 1/2 months old. She was incredibly supportive and helped me build confidence during the early stages of motherhood. Hannah is tremendously connected in the community, and provided me with resources and connections when we hit various hurdles. Because of Hannah’s presence, I was able to have breaks during the early days, which helped preserve my mental health in a positive way. She was also available over text message whenever I needed her, answering questions about pumping, feeding, and anything else I needed. I’m grateful to have found Hannah and certainly recommend her to any parents during or after their family building journey.

We hired Hannah as a night nurse for our newborn baby. Being our second child, we knew sleep was important to us functioning well in those first few weeks as a family of four. I immediately felt comfortable with Hannah during our initial calls and in person meeting before the baby arrived. During our nights with Hannah, I could rest well knowing our baby was in good hands. As a certified lactation consultant, Hannah is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer every question I had. She was supportive of our feeding plan and inclusive to all methods of feeding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hannah go any expecting or new parents. She is worth the investment. I just wish I knew about Hannah with our first baby!

Hannah was so kind, supportive and informative for me and my breast feeding journey both during my pregnancy and after my little one arrived! She even saved the day by delivering me an old pump when the one I had broke which was above and beyond!

Hannah has been a life saving resource and support for my fertility, pregnancy birth AND postpartum. My little man was born very small and struggled with latching but with Hannah's support, tips and help, starting in the hospital right off the bat, I was able to get the hang of nursing + pumping. He has surpassed his birth weight and I have a mild oversupply which is PERFECT. My anxiety about the feeding and sleeping schedule as a new single parent is decreased to a very healthy and safe degree thanks to my doula support. Thank you!

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Hannah. She was my doula at my birth and has been such an incredible source of support and education before, during, and after. My premature labor happened really quickly, and Hannah made it there and was so supportive and an integral part in helping me feel empowered through a situation that held so much unknown. She provided incredible resources during my pregnancy and after. She’s helped me so much with breastfeeding, providing extra support after birth in this area. Above all, she has the most incredible way of being with people. She brings competence, kindness, compassion, and an incredible attitude event to the people she works with. I could not say better things about her and would trust her again and again with one of the most vulnerable experiences of my life.

Hannah did an amazing job encapsulating my placenta!  She was extremely clean and thoughtful during the entire process, which is also a huge labor of love.  Hannah was flexible with our needs, and everything went very smoothly, even with two dogs in the house :)

I’m so grateful for Hannah, her services, and the final product.  My hormones and emotions have been pretty balanced during the tumultuous 4th trimester, and I have plenty of capsules left to get me though the rest of it.

We were so pleased with the support and knowledge that Hannah had. From the meetings prior to birth, to supporting us through the unplanned trajectory of our birth. Hannah made my husband feel incredibly safe during a time of intense fear. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience working with Hannah. We hired Hannah of Peony Doula Co. to be our Doula for the birth of our second daughter. She came into my life in a time when I went from being totally confident about giving birth with our first daughters pregnancy to being quite fearful and desperate to have a birth experience that would provide much needed healing with this pregnancy.

 I can promise you that Hannah is so worth finding the money in your budget to hire her. Hannah loves what she does so much, and it shows by how passionate she is for caring for birthing individuals. She is constantly adding credentials to her name by keeping herself up to date with as much certifications and knowledge as she can to best serve her clients. We wanted to find someone we felt totally comfortable bringing into our very intimate space. I also wanted to find someone who was trauma informed because of my previous birth experience.

She went above and beyond in every way to provide the care and extra TLC I needed during pregnancy whether that be phone conversations to go over plans, holding space for feelings, offering suggestions or resources, and so much more. Hannah was invaluable to me and I felt truly cared.

During labor Hannah worked as a unit with my husband to provide me with the support I needed, advocated when it was necessary, worked alongside the other members of the birth team, made sure that I was following through on all my desired requests for reminders, and providing continuous encouragement and care. 

With all this and more Hannah also took many photos and videos during our daughters birth. Now I have tangible proof of how purely incredible this birth truly was. If you are looking to hire a Doula, which I really encourage, please do yourself a courtesy and hire Hannah of Peony Doula Co.! You will not regret hiring such a wonderful human being who’s truly passionate about providing the care that is individualized to you.

Knowledgeable, compassionate, nonjudgemental, kind - a few words that come to mind when I think of Hannah. She was such an incredible support for me and my husband throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Hannah stepped up and was instantly by my side after our son was whisked away seconds after a traumatic delivery. She was such a calming presence, reassuring me that things like this sometimes happen and that the team was doing everything possible to help our baby. In such a scary and unpredictable moment, Hannah gave me a sense of calm and ease - something I am forever grateful for. When my milk supply dipped postpartum, Hannah went above and beyond to not only connect me with a past client who was willing to donate milk, but even picked it up for me and brought it to our next visit. She is truly one of a kind!

Hannah was an amazing fit for our doula needs with our second child.  We had never had any postpartum help with our first born, instead focusing entirely on prebirth services, but after moving to Maine, we decided to reach out to Hannah to discuss our goals for baby number 2.  Having all our services set up beforehand with Hannah made coming home from the hospital feel safe and easy.  What a relief knowing we had her support and we could not have asked for a better or more supportive first couple months.  All of us, baby included are very thankful for Hannah.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Hannah as our birth and postpartum doula and will be coming to her when we have our next child. Hannah was professional, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and punctual. She created a safe space for me to birth and then process my birth and continues to be a resource for me. She was a wonderful advocate for me when it came to honoring my birth plan and in the throws of labor made sure my needs and wishes were met. She was also innovative when it came to her approaches with pain management. In her postpartum care, she answered all my questions like cloth diapering, how to baby wrap and use the carriers I’d purchased, and provided space for me to confide in her when I was having difficulty with my son’s care. I would highly recommend working with Hannah because not only is she an incredible resource, she will also stop at nothing to get you the answer if she doesn’t know it.

Hannah was an excellent support to me and my husband. I appreciate that she has been there for us before, during, and after the birth. The birth experience was especially challenging for me both mentally and physically. I have a diagnosis of anxiety which definitely flared up during labor. And it was on my 5th day in the hospital after some complications that I finally gave birth. Hannah is supportive, non judgmental, and reliable. I knew I could count on Hannah to be there for me. One night, she drove back to the hospital in the middle of the night per my request. By the time she arrived, I had been given pain drugs and just wanted to sleep. So Hannah slept on the floor of my hospital room. If I ever became pregnant again, I would definitely hire Hannah as my doula.

Hannah has been my doula for the birth of two of my children who were born during the Covid outbreak. 
Thanks to Covid and the hospital procedures which required that whoever the accompanying person was they had to stay the entire time with the patient. I therefore had Hannah to myself and my baby for the entire hospital stay. Hannah was very supportive and taught me a lot as I labored for 30 hours for the birth of my 3 rd daughter. The birth ended up being a C-section and having Hannah the entire time was very good especially from an emotional point of view. 
A year and 8 month later I called upon Hannah again to assist me for the birth of my son. This was a c-section and Hannah was awsome. She helped me track the breastfeeding counts, change diapers of my little one, coordinate meals delivery and listen to me wander about my dreams as a mum of 4. 
Hannah is like an aunty to my daughter and son :)

Hannah supported me through an abortion in October as well as pre and post D&C. Though I'm in NC, Hannah still found a way to virtually support me anytime I needed help or directed me to some place that could help. If it weren't for Hannah, I wouldn't have been encouraged or validated when going with my gut during a medical emergency. I retained tissue from my abortion and Hannah never made me feel silly for any concerns. Hannah always met me with an understanding, no matter how unique my issues were.   If I were to have another abortion, give birth, or need postpartum support - I would 100% hire Hannah as my doula. Even if we needed to find a way virtually. Hannah's support is incredibly valuable.

We had our son just before christmas, during COVID and while living 600 miles away from family. We knew pretty quickly that we needed help physically and emotionally with the first few weeks with our son. We were lucky to know Hannah before and extremely lucky that she was available to help us. She is extremely passionate about postpartum care for both baby and momma... she was knowledgeable and helpful with breastfeeding issues, cloth diapers, and particularly with helping us sooth our crying boy. We sincerely appreciated having her help us with food preparation and simple things like help with the dishes and holding our son so we could have a few moments of alone time to sleep and cuddle (such a rarity with a new born!)... she was like having family in the home with us and we could not have asked for anything better, even when all we needed was company to sit and talk with.

We worked with Hannah for 3+ month with our baby girl, and she is really the most genuine and caring Doula you could ask for. In addition to taking care of everything we asked, she stepped in to help our daughter with naps, brought toys/books/musical instruments from her own home, came up with ideas to further develop my daughter's skills, all without us asking. On top of that, she is flexible to work with and great with feedback. We highly recommend Hannah without reservation

I can't say enough great things about Hannah! She supported my family weekly for four months after the birth of our daughter, and I was terribly sad when our time together had to end.

She is not only knowledgeable, experienced, and has a wealth of resources for any and all birth and postpartum phenomena, but she just has "the touch." Her bedside manner can't be taught! She made me feel held and seen, never judged, and constantly reminded me that I was doing a great job as a parent. She had a wonderful way with my daughter, and I learned a little something new about taking care of babies every time I saw her. 

Hannah is professional, flexible, punctual, and so passionate about perinatal support. She is a gem in our community as well as a particularly great support for non-traditional families.
