Everyone deserves to have such a knowledgeable, supportive, and sensitive guide as Ashley in their birth journey. She always provided a non-judgemental, open-hearted approach to every step, whether that was our education about our birth plan options, our random questions at any hour of the day or night, and our uncertainty as first time parents about even what kinds of help we needed. Ashley was always ready with resources, delicious and healthy meals, extra hands- whatever was of most use at any moment. We feel so lucky to have had Ashley with us at this life-changing chapter for our family.
Ashley was absolutely amazing!!! She was so kind, caring, patient and professional. She was vastly knowledgeable regarding the various things that a woman goes through during her pregnancy and labor. I will definitely use her again if I ever need a doula again. There is no question about it. She just honestly cared about treating us nicely and guided us through the hard and stressful time which was early labor and delivery where there are so many variables, known and unknown, and made it much easier and stress-free. Personally, during my early labor, Ashley was always there for me day and night, always a phone call away, which she always answered no matter the time. When I needed her to come over because of the intense pain, she was there in my house in just short minutes, helping relieve the pain with different positions and guided me through deep breathings. I would recommend to every women out there who is pregnant, and wants to deliver successfully with out stress or fear to choose Ashley! Ashley has so much knowledge in this field of labor and delivery. She patiently and clearly explained to my husband and I all the terms and what they mean, such as, episiotomy, tens, pitocin...and so much more. We got a clear picture of what to expect when reaching the stage of labor and delivery. It was a relief for us to have Ashely as our doula! We had nothing to fear when coming to the hospital, because we knew that she will speak up for us when needed. Even after my delivery, Ashley was there for me explaining to me how to take care of myself and the baby. There are so many wonderful things to say about Ashley. I said to Ashley in the delivery room, that she deserves a billion dollars and more for every client she has. I hope anyone who sees this will immediately grab her services or risk losing out on an amazing, unique opportunity in treating yourself and your unborn with such an amazing, personable doula!!! Thank you Ashley!
I was introduced to Ashley by the doula I originally hired. She recommended Ashley in case I have a baby during the time of her trip. Though Ashley knew that she was a substitute doula, she took initiative, reached out to me several times to make sure I'm alright, if I needed anything. She also sent me a lot of VERY useful information.
The next day after seeing my OBGYN I was told I was in labor and to go to the hospital. Ashley met me there and was on point with nurses, asking questions, relaying what i wanted and gave me a ton of physical and emotional support. I was switching positions on the bed, was on a ball, she reminded me to breath, to relax, and at one point my contractions became so intense I thought I will not handle it. So I became silent and just started breathing through it. Also asked for everyone to be silent. She was my voice. She made sure to keep things quiet. In my mind I thought I will ask for a pain killer. But she was super helpful in coaching me through pain.
I felt the baby coming at 8cm opening. I asked my husband to hold one of my legs and Ashley grabbed the other. It took literally 2 pushes and my sweet little baby was out.
Ashley continued her support without stopping. She also was congratulating me, gave me a hig and stayed with me for about an hour after. She texted the next day to check on me and said that she will be coming to me to do a follow up visit in a couple of days to help with anything that I may need.
Honestly, this was such a memorable experience for me. I wish I had a doula with my first three deliveries as well.
I give her 12 out of 10. She is a very caring young woman with a fearless heart. She will do all in her power to make sure that her client is comfortable and happy.
Thank you again Ashley!
