Johnetta has been an absolute blessing during our journey bringing our first child into the world! Being first time parents, we didn't know what to expect and wanted to lean on the support of someone we could trust to walk us through the journey of childbirth. Johnetta was just that person for us! From the beginning of our time together, she made the educational parts of childbirth fun and engaging, giving both my husband and I a good grasp on what we might expect along the way. I had a desire to attempt birthing my baby naturally and unmedicated, and although our medical team had suggested we medically induce, given we were two weeks past our due date, Johnetta remained patient and attentive to my husband and I as we wanted to learn about and discuss each medical intervention suggested by our doctors and midwives. At the onset of our induction, Johnetta worked with us side-by-side to walk us through different techniques to help labor progress and keep us uplifted and motivated. When labor became really intense, Johnetta was such a strong and grounding source of safety, strength, and encouragement for my husband and I. She held space for each of our needs and advocated for our desires at each turning point. Johnetta was the glue that made us work like a team! Looking back at the experience, I can say that apart from having our baby, receiving the compassionate care, comfort, and support that Johnetta provided during such a mentally and physically challenging time made the experience that much more wholesome for my family and I. As a birthing woman I felt fully supported and cared for by Johnetta. My husband appreciated having Johnetta as a support person that allowed him to play an active role in our birth as well. Her passion and heart for serving others was evident during our days together and we are forever grateful to Johnetta for her presence and setting the tone of safety and compassionate care as we birthed our little one into the world.

Johnetta was a wonderful source of support during the later part of my pregnancy and during labor. As a former school teacher, she is very talented at explaining things in an accessible and encouraging way, which put both me and my husband at ease. She also keeps up with the latest research and evidence-based recommendations about birthing options, which we appreciated as hyper-analytical people. We also valued that she was willing to draw from and share her own varied birth experiences--meaning that she had walked this path personally and knew intimately what we were going through.

At the hospital, Johnetta guided us through the birthing journey--including when it took a number of unanticipated turns-- and my husband said he felt much more confident in supporting me while we had Johnetta supporting both of us. I trusted Johnetta completely during the birth and discussed each suggestion from the midwives and OB-GYNs with her before we implemented them. Johnetta has such a gift for the work she does, and you shouldn't hesitate to entrust her with your experience.

I was so lucky to cross paths with Johnetta by way of recommendation from a former student of hers. When I started this journee I was so unsure and scared of what's to come and Johnetta was very patient and open with me in my journee. I had planned the perfect water birth that Johnetta was going to assist me with however during the last few weeks at 37 weeks I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Johnetta had my back the entire time she came to the hospital and I honestly do not know how I would have survived labor and delivery without her. She empowered me within each decision and ensured I had the education and explored all of my options before I made a decision. Throughout every step she insured that I was in charge of my birth and for that and I am forever grateful. My labor and delivery was very hard but she stuck at the room and never faltered not once  even when I became weary and unsure if she was strong for the both of us and that is something money can't buy

Because of Johnetta, my entire pregnancy was literally the most peace I've ever experienced in my life so far. She was so patient and understanding with all of my concerns and doubts. Johnetta also taught me so much about my body and the magic it naturally holds. She is really a God send. Never left my side during labor; I followed all of her directions and my baby popped out in the best way possible! I literally want more because I know I will have  Johnetta right by my side to bring a miracle into the world. Thank you again for everything, especially for helping me find my woman power. Your a queen and I love you!! ??

The day my husband and I met Johnetta, I knew we had made one of the best decisions for the birth of our son. It seemed as if she was the perfect fit into our birthing puzzle. I knew I wanted this birth to be different from my previous two that were both in Hospitals and did not give me the experience I felt deep down that I could have. Since we were giving birth to our perfect gift during the pandemic I did not feel that the hospital was the best fit. Bringing my baby earthside in chaos was not an option. When we decided on a water birth at home Johnetta was so supportive. I feel extremely blessed to have had Johnetta present for the Birth of my 3rd son. She made me feel comfortable and empowered, even in control of my birthing experience and labor. She helped me behind the scenes right up until the moment SHE delivered my son. Labor started off pretty smooth for me and when things sped up my midwife had not arrived. Johnetta did not panic and her calm demeanor was a guiding light for my family and I when my little prince couldn't wait any longer and was born right into Johnetta's hands. I am ever so grateful for her and she will always have a special place in my heart and in my family. I would without a doubt recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful, knowledgeable, loving birthing experience. She is by far the best and absolutely phenomenal. Thank you Johnetta for everything.

Johnetta provided the service of placenta encapsulation for me.  My husband and I were so impressed with Johnetta.  She traveled to pick up my placenta and her turn around was very quick.  She is very knowledgeable and provided continual guidance when I had questions. I recommend her service to any mother!  Early in my postpartum journey I struggled terribly with postpartum anxiety and taking my placenta really helped me.  I'm so thankful for Johnetta!

Johnetta was absolutely amazing throughout my entire prenatal and labor experience as a first time mom.  I wasn't sure what to expect as far as labor was concerned, and wanted a doula for extra support during the birthing experience. Johnetta provided me with resources throughout by prenatal journey, and was there with me every step of the way during the labor process. Despite my labor not ending in an unmedicated vaginal birth like I was hoping, Johnetta was there to provide comfort and support throughout the entire process. Even the nursing staff at the hospital commented on how Johnetta was a pleasure to work with. I couldn't have made it through the labor without her.

My experience with Johnetta from day one was nothing but professional!  I'm a mom of a teen mommy and I wanted my daughter to have a safe and healthy pregnancy.  I shared with Johnetta from  the beginning what we were looking for in a doula and Johnetta exceeded our expectations.  We were provided resources from day one regarding teen pregnancy to healthy eating, labor resources etc.  The one thing about her services we will never forget is the way she advocates for you.  My daughter had a complicated labor and Johnetta walked in the delivery room right away and went straight to work like a superhero.  Even at times when things didn't look good, not once did Johnetta  change her energy!  She was truly amazing. She is a Gem to have by your side when choosing a doula.  My daughter ended up having a healthy beautiful doula baby boy.   ????

Intially, I was not sure about hiring a birth doula during the pandemic because my hospital only allowed one support person. I am so glad that I worked with Johnetta. Johnetta is a straight shooter, and her honesty is refreshing. Her compassion and honesty make her uniquely qualified to assist with birth. As a first time mom, there's nothing more scary than the unknown. Johnetta helped me face the fears by having honest conversations with me and demystifying birth. During my lengthy labor, she suggested comfort measures and things to do to help labor progress. She was always supportive of whatever path I chose and adapted when the plan changed during my labor.

I had the pleasure of working with Johnetta as my Doula to birth my second child. It was very important to me this go round to have a supportive team to increase my chances of having a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). I can honestly say that even through a pandemic, the level of support and care received surpassed my expectations. Johnetta went above and behind on the resources provided and check ins. Although the corona virus changed the way we could interact during labor and delivery, we still were able to connect virtually and she offered to come to the house to assist in laboring at home. I wholeheartedly believe that the support Johnetta provided my husband and I prior to delivery helped us to feel confident and knowledgeable about owing our birth experience and what we should expect. We were able to achieve the VBAC we desired and I would like to think our decision to hire Johnetta as our Doula aided in that. I would highly recommend Mother of Many Doula Services to any expectant mom who desires to take control of their birth plan and team while being supported by a qualified and caring professional.

My husband and I highly recommend Johnetta. She was truly a God send in our birth journey. She's down to earth, answered all of our questions and concerns and above all nurturing.I went in thinking I knew a lot and that I wanted her there more to support my husband but everything I thought I knew she clarified and even suggested or mentioned aspects that I had no idea existed or knew I needed.
Johnetta was there every step of the way not only giving me advice but my husband as well. She was always available for us and when the time came she was right there helping and encouraging me every step of the way going above and beyond. I enjoyed her personality and the knowledge that she brought forth not only as a doula but as a mother herself.
She suggested and used great resources that were useful. I'm grateful to have found her for the birth of our daughter. She even took pictures for us during birth. Wthout her quick thinking I wouldn't have any of those moments to look back on.

Johnetta was a godsend for my husband and I.  She was kind and compassionate from the start of our journey.  She provided us with valuable information and resources.  She is very passionate about working and helping mothers and their partners during their pregnancy and birth experiences.  In my experience as a first time mom, I do not think we would have had a positive laboring experience if it were not for her help, guidance, and support.  She kept my husband and I focused and encouraged us to work together as a team.  I highly reccomend you hire her as your doula, I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Johnetta was amazing from the moment we connected until well after I gave birth. Her attention to detail to include my emotional well being and wishes for how I wanted my labor and delivery to go was unmatched. She provided excellent mental support to myself and my family and ensured that everyone knew what was going on and was comfortable. There were plenty of times throughout my journey when I thought I wasn’t going to make it (literally), but Johnetta’s calm spirit and guiding energy was everything that I needed to successfully birth my son. Johnetta was my doula for the birth of my first child in late July 2019. She was awesome and I highly recommend her. I would definitely hire her again! She was always available and willing to chat before the birth- sending me helpful resources and tips and offering advice when we chatted on the phone. I hired her only a few weeks before the birth because my other doula fell through, and she was great and constantly checked in. 

She was a lifesaver during my birth at GW hospital. She met us there at 2am immediately after we called her. I was having a tough time, and she immediately offered relief with back massages and position ideas and suggestions. She also had some doula tool that she would roll over my back that helped me relax. She stayed with me in the hospital over my entire, very long labor, well into the next night, and she was extremely helpful. My husband was also very relieved she was there, because even though we had read books and taken classes she knew instantly what to do and could show my husband as well, so they could switch off giving me massages, etc. She also comforted my mom who was having a tough time watch me labor. 

My birth didn’t go exactly as planned, I had some complications, but Johnetta was absolutely terrific through the entire process and helped explain what the doctors were saying and really offered a lot of relief as I was laboring. I felt like she was there for me, and supported my choices during the entire process.
