I will never forget Alexa! During our first pregnancy, Alexa started to meet with us to plan the birth. A water birth, in our bedroom. When my wife's water broke, she was there with the quickness! As a father I was really impressed and grateful that she was ready to ride it out from start to finish. Our midwife could not make it in time for the birth, so I stepped in to help catch our son, my firstborn, with Alexa's guidance. I wouldn't change one thing about that night, it was a magical night and everything went smoothly. If you are considering a Doula/future midwife, Alexa is your woman.

Thank you Alexa!

Alexa really helped us to have the knowledge we needed during the pregnancy. The times she babysat Gabriel were also very much appreciated. We were certainly glad to support her talents and see her business grow.

As a first time mother, I didn’t really know what to look for when interviewing doulas. In interviewed Alexa and about two other doulas. Alexa was pleasant, knowledgeable, and she put me at ease. During the interview she informed of all the services to provided I.e. birth plans, a birthing class, coming to my home so that I could labor there. After I interviewed Alexa, I believed that other doulas offered the same services, but that was incorrect. When I interviewed others, there were no birth plans, no classes and they essentially said “I’ll meet you at the hospital when it’s time.” Alexa took the time to build a rapport with me. Throughout this journey Alexa made me feel cared for and let me know she was there every step of the way. With the help of Alexa, I was able to have a non-medicated delivery. She was attentive during my pregnancy, labor, and delivery. She was by my side the entire time and never made me feel like she was just there because it’s her job. She made me feel as though she wanted to be there with me every step. Thank you Alexa for making my labor and delivery such a beautiful and peaceful experience.

My birthing experience with Alexa was all that I imagined and more. From comception, I knew I wanted a doula at my side and especially during the pandemic with limited support in the room I knew it was necessary. From my first interview with Alexa, I knew she was the right doula for me. From the prenatal visits to working over the birth plan, I went into my birthing experience with a lot of confidence. I also appreciate how she included my partner in these meetings as well. When the time came to deliver, Alexa was one call away. I was so relieved to see her. She advocated for me and provided me with a lot of support during my birthing experience. I would like her to be my doula in the future if we choose to have more children down the line and I would highly recommend her services.

When searching for a doula, I wanted someone who was knowledgeable about both the labor and breastfeeding processes. Additionally, she had to be professional, yet someone I would feel comfortable with during one of my most vulnerable moments in life. Alexa was all of those things. Prior to selecting Alexa as my birthing coach, I met with three in total. From our initial meet, I knew I wanted to hire her. She came prepared to explain what she can offer with a very personable upbeat attitude. I knew I would be more at ease with her by my side (my husband too ??). During labor, Alexa was extremely encouraging with helping me stick to my unmedicated birthing plan. As planned, on birthing day (7 September), Alexa showed up at our house to help with laboring before transferring to the hospital. She came equipped with everything needed to help get me through contractions (heating pads, birthing and peanut balls, aromatherapy, and electrode massager). Her techniques made the contractions so bearable that by the time we arrived at the hospital, I was already 10cm dilated and ready to deliver our beautiful baby girl. Thanks to Alexa, our baby girl arrived with zero intervention. Look no further if you’re in search of a great birthing coach!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alexa! She was the back up doula for my original doula who could not attend birth due to being out of town. Alexa was scheduled to go out of town for a vacation herself and postponed leaving to be present for my birth. Prior to going into labor at 3am I had not met Alexa and was nervous to have a complete stranger at my birth, serving as my doula. When I say Alexa was no stranger she was “no stranger”. She was a wonderful presence, attentive to all my birthing needs, genuinely kind to the hospital staff, supportive of my husband and even helped facilitate communication with family not present due to covid restrictions. Alexa was prepared with counter pressure techniques, hands on approach and affirmative language which was EXACTLY what I needed as a first time mom whose birth was not going as planned. My desire was to have a natural birth, however I was transferred to the hospital from the birthing center due to high blood pressure. After hours of laboring, I no longer felt comfortable with the pain of my contractions. I asked for an epidural and Alexa was more than supportive in my new decision and praised me for dilating as far as I did naturally. Fast forward to pushing, Alexa was right there to aid myself, my husband and the nurses and midwife if needed. Once my daughter was born and in distress Alexa remained by my side while my husband was able to accompany our daughter and doctors to the nicu for further care. Alexa encouraged me and even prayed with me! If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, down to earth, hands on and hard working doula. LOOK NO FURTHER because Alexa is your doula!

Alexa is an amazing doula! Everything I wanted to be done for my birthing experienced happened! She made this experience for me and my S/O amazing. Even when I wanted to give up she encouraged me along side my S/O and I couldn’t have been any happier!! She is amazing at what she does and I am so happy I found her to be apart of my first natural birth! Thank you ALEXA!! I highly recommended her!!

Alexa is such a warm, bright person and she brings her personality to birthwork. She has a knack for setting a celebratory tone in the room to her work as a doula. We had a minor complication with the final stage of my pregnancy, with the baby boy sitting transverse at about 36 weeks. Alexa was super helpful in working with me to use some of the spinning babies positions and served a great sounding board for my anxieties. After about a week the baby flipped head down! It was definitely a relief. But after another week or so, I went in to my 39 or 40 week appointment and he had flipped back transverse. We scheduled a turning procedure (manual cephalic version) that same day, and Alexa was quick to arrive and help keep us company while we waited for the attending to be available. The next day was Thanksgiving, and after a successful (and super quick!) procedure to get the baby head-dwon, I was induced. Alexa was so gracious about spending the holiday with us, and so integral to supporting me and my whole family through the next day. She helped keep a positive atmosphere, guided my mom and husband in counterpressure techniques, kept me moving into different positions, helped monitor the baby and mine's heartrate, and all around was a helpful presence. I'm so glad she was there and would recommend her to anyone looking for a strong, joyful and knowledgable doula.

Phenomenal doula! I am a doula myself, and I can attest that Alexa was overly respectful in helping to carry out my desires for my home birth. She was the PERFECT match for my family and me. She was as hands-on as I wanted -- and as hands-off as I wanted! She knew when and where to support me during the labor and birth process. Our prenatal appointments, phone/text communication, and postpartum appointments were wonderful and thorough. I highly recommend Alexa!
