I offer sliding scale and trust my clients to pay what they can. I provide trauma-informed physical and emotional support, as well as advocacy, during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I also offer breastfeeding counseling, postpartum help, placenta encapsulation, and perinatal herbalism to my clients. I make a variety of tinctures, teas, oils and capsules, and offer herbal packages of my products. I use Spinning Babies, rebozo, massage and movement for pain management and to move baby down in the right position. I know what it is like to be marginalized and I proudly advocate for my clients with their consent. I am culturally and LGBTQ+ competent. My fees vary depending on what you desire and need and what I can offer at that time. That being said, I will not let finances be a barrier to a birthing person's care. Let's talk and see how I could support you.

Client Testimonials for Rhea Harrison

Rhea was an amazing ally throughout my pregnancy and my personal champion during my labor. Rhea shared well-researched informaiton with me to put me at ease, answered any and all questions that either my partner or I had. Also, she provided herbal support via trimester teas, tinctures and eventually sitz bath ingredients once I was postpartum.

As a BIPOC individual, having Rhea in our corner was truly life-saving and life-affirming!

Rhea was fantastic!

She was present and passionate throughout our journey.

She was always professional and prompt. She was quick to respond in times of concern.

From the beginning, she ephasized the experience over the money.

We were pampered with tinctures and tea!

She even stored the placenta in her own freezer when we couldn't decide what to do with it.

Rhea was seemingly up for any task to make our birth experience as pain free and memorable as possible.

She swiftly adapted to our ever changing birth plan — from birth house to hospital.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures, Rhea.

And thank you for helping deliver our beautiful Bodhi Kanz-Edminster.

I loved having Rhea as my doula! I hired her about halfway through my pregnancy, and she was extremely helpful. Through her knowledge of herbalism, she was able to provide me with several teas, oils, and tinctures to aid the nausea, sleep deprivation, and back pain that plagued me during my second and third trimesters. She also made me a nettle tea to help with iron absorbtion.

Rhea really treats birth like a sacred event, and she was willing to work with me even though I live two hours north of her home. I went into labor a few days early, at 2am, and checked into the hospital around 3am. She arrived shortly thereafter and supported me until my son was born at 11:14pm that same day (I labored at the hospital for about 22 hours). She helped to make the birthing suite into a comfortable space, complete with dim lighting, battery operated candles, and essential oils. During contractions, she used massage and rebozo scarf techniques to help ease the pain.

When my birth plan had to be altered due to slow progression (and the baby's heart rate dropping during contractions), she patiently helped me to weigh the pros and cons of accepting pitocin, so that I could make an informed decision.

After my son was born, Rhea stayed until he was latched on nicely, then provided me with a lovely postpartum kit that included soothing bath salts, witch hazel, more delicious tea, and tinctures to aid recovery. I know the teas and tinctures worked, because I stopped bleeding after just two weeks. I'm now six weeks postpartum and I feel great. I had a (mostly) unmedicated childbirth (no epidural), but I would recommend Rhea to any birthing person, regardless of the type of birth you have!

My husband and I had an exceptional experience with Rhea as our doula for our first child and if we decide to have another child we would absolutely hire her again. I was hesitant about hiring a doula at first because it is hard for me to be comfortable around people I do not know well and I was not sure if I wanted more than just my husband with me during the labor process. Not only was Rhea  so personable and easy to be around, she brought a calming energy that my husband and I both needed. Also before we gave birth, Rhea was a great resource for us with questions and concerns I had with pregnancy. During labor, she was able to assist with helping us make decisions, feeling informed, and feeling confident and comfortable as possible which helped our labor  experience be a very positive one. We feel very fortunate to have had Rhea as our doula to help bring our son into the world!
