I highly and happily recommend Cheryl as your doula!!

I knew after getting pregnant (very shortly after having my first baby) that I needed a doula this time. When I met Cheryl, I knew immediately that I wanted her to be my doula. She’s kind, extremely knowledgeable, competent, organized, and incredibly good at what she does. Best decision I made! My pregnancy, labor, and delivery experience was unlike anything I ever expected. Every obstacle was thrown in my direction.  From visiting a high risk doctor, being induced at almost 42 weeks, to not being allowed to have visitors in the hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cheryl was a sea of calm amongst the chaos. She was constantly there to guide and help me through all the stressful and unexpected moments. She ensured I had all the facts and information I needed to make important decisions regarding my care and treatment - for both me and my baby. When I struggled with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, Cheryl gave me stretches and important information regarding my condition. She helped me articulate my symptoms to my doctors which led to my referral to physical therapy and ultimately helped me pinpoint the cause of my extreme pain. Not only did I get the appropriate medical attention, but I was able to find tremendous relief after being able to explain exactly what I was experiencing to my doctors.

She gave me confidence and strength to bring my beautiful baby girl into this world.  During labor, she gave me numerous techniques to help with natural pain management, increasing the frequency of contractions, and keeping myself calm. After I delivered my baby, she was very respectful of my time and privacy. She requested permission to post pictures of her and Sophia prior to sharing to social media. She was simply amazing. I cannot recommend her enough.

The only person I’ve ever imagined having by my side during labor and delivery was my husband. I was forced out of my comfort zone when life happened, threatening my birth plans. I was 35 weeks pregnant for the first time, in the middle of a pandemic, with my husband in a different country. I reached out to Cheryl, who did the impossible- made me feel safe.

I never knew how much I wanted or needed a doula, more specifically, Cheryl. Immediately, she made me feel safe. She was unconditionally supportive while I was making the official decision to hire her. She was creative in incorporating my husband. Her apparent dedication to the wellbeing of me and my family made us feel like her top priority. I loved working with her, doing spinning babies and other movements on and after my due date. I felt heard by Cheryl when I shared my fears. Cheryl was my advocate while empowering me to have my own voice at all times.

She helped my husband know what was going on with my body and in the hospital, providing him guidance on how to offer me support. Cheryl’s presence provided ease and comfort during a very long and difficult labor. Her words resonated with me when I couldn’t focus on anything else. She offered physical touch to help alleviate pain and held my leg during hours of pushing. With so much grace Cheryl remained present, while allowing my husband and I to meet our son as intimately as I ever imagined.

This testimony doesn't even begin to capture all that Cheryl did for our family. I don’t even want to think about how different it would have been if I did not have Cheryl by my side. Cheryl offered me my first opportunity to process my experience, an experience that was made better by her.  Reflecting on my pregnancy and the labor and delivery, I only feel immense gratitude for Cheryl. I am honored to have brought a human into the world on her birthday!

If you are even considering working with a doula, do yourself a favor and meet with Cheryl. She is the absolute best! I felt comfortable with her from the very beginning. She is very knowledgeable about a wide range of labor/delivery topics, and works to get you the best information. She was always available via text/call for all of my questions and offered me evidence-based answers so I could create birth preferences that I wanted. Her knowledge of the Spinning Babies technique helped move my baby down and prepare for birth. She answered the phone on the first ring at 4 am and was at the hospital less than 15 minutes later. Cheryl was able to help support my husband during labor by showing him how to best support me. She was very responsive to my vague requests and knew exactly what I needed, even when I didn't. I was able to achieve a short, all natural birth and I know I couldn’t have done it without her help!!

Cheryl was phenomenal and with her apart of my birth team I was able to have the natural birth I dreamed of achieving. She never misses a beat, was always a text or phone call away, and most importantly reassured me through everything I was not sure I was capable of achieving on my own. She stuck with me through my whole laboring process, she had the knowledge to help flip my baby into the correct position with her skills in Spinning Babies, and helped me through every contraction and 3 hour pushing process to achieve my natural birth I am now so proud of. I knew getting a doula when I became pregnant was a priority to me, I now fully believe that without her support and guidance I would not have had as perfect of a birth or the natural birth I dreamed of without her by my side. If there’s any advice I can give to any newly pregnant mom, is to hire a doula and Cheryl if she is in your area! I will never be able to thank her enough.

If you are looking for a doula look no further! As first-time parents we decided just a few months before my due date that we wanted a doula. I was searching and messaging people like crazy when I came across Cheryl's website. She messaged me back right away and was able to get together that week for a meet and greet. We were nervous to meet her as we didn't know what to expect, we just knew that I wanted a natural labor and someone who could help my husband be an active support person throughout labor. Right away we knew she was the perfect fit for us. She was relatable, understanding of our wants, knowledgeable, and you could tell she really cares about what she does. Over the next couple months she returned to every text I sent her promptly. Including the three a day from 38 weeks on asking if the things my body was going through were normal. She gave me tips on natural things to help my body get ready for labor. All the tips she gave me must have worked because my labor was only 10 hours from start to finish. When the time came that my water broke she dropped what she was doing and arrived at the hospital at the same time that we did. She was a god-sent in the hospital, she knew exactly what I needed before I knew it and she made sure my husband knew what to do to comfort me the whole time. She listened and watched the medical staff to ensure that my wants were heard when they were pushing to do things that I didn't want even without telling me. I really don't know if I would have been able to achieve my goal of a natural labor without her and we are so happy we had her along the way!

We decided to get a doula pretty late in the game (37 weeks) and Cheryl was gracious and accomodating on such short notice. She quickly set up a consultation meeting and we decided that she was a good fit for us right away.  Not only was her passion and joy in what she does apparent from the get go but it was clear that she was experienced and knows all the tricks in the book.  I was attempting a VBAC and although she had never attended one before, her positive and confident attitude made us feel sure that she was a good choice for us.  We would up having a successful VBAC and throughout the process, Cheryl was a comfort and an advocate for the specifics of the birth plan we had discussed.  She was engaged and encouraging throughout the labor and delivery.  I highly reccomend Cheryl to anyone looking for a comprehensively caring and adept doula experience!

I cannot thank Cheryl enough for being there for me, my husband, and most importantly my daughter. My husband is active duty and we live over 2000 miles from immediate family. When I was diagnosed with preclampsia and had to deliver early, I didn't have a very strong support team. Cheryl was there from the beginning to the end, and I'm forever thankful. Cheryl has such a wide knowledge on everything. She really cares and fights for what you and your family wants.

Cheryl is absolutely amazing! She went with me to any appointments that’s I needed her to have someone with me as my husband was deployed. She is supportive and makes sure you get everything it of your birth that you want and she is always there to answer any questions you have during and after pregnancy! I started preterm labor at 28 weeks and was in the hospital multiple times between 28 and 34 weeks when my daughter was born and Cheryl was there every time! Even for my extremely long labor that lasted three days! Cheryl also helped to capture those first sweet moments during and right after birth of my husband and I with our daughter! I highly recommend Cheryl she is wonderful and helped me get through my labor!

Where to even begin... Cheryl is AMAZING. In 2017 I went into early labor with my 3rd baby and due to Cheryl being across the country she wasn't able to fly out for delivery as expected. BUT she was there every second of it over Skype. My husband had just gotten home from deployment a little over a week prior to going into labor and not only did she talk to me, giving me loving and encouraging words she also instructed my husband on things to do to help. He was just as Blessed and thankful to have her as I was. She makes you feel empowered in the hardest of moments during labor and it was beyond incredible. Her dedication and passion in what she does is inspiring and such a comfort. We love her more than words can express. Although plans didn't go as we wanted, as labor tends to do, she didn't let miles keep her from doing her job and making ME feel comfortable and strong. I HIGHLY recommend her as a doula.

I knew the moment I met Cheryl she had a gift. A gift to make you feel comfortable right away. To feel like you genuinely matter to her. Although my husband was present for the birth of our third baby, Cheryl was far more help and I honestly could not have pushed through without her assistance. My only regret is not using her for all my births. If you are looking for an advocate and amazing care, Cheryl is perfect.
