The transition from pregnancy to parenthood is the most profound, joyful and challenging one there is. I'm here for you. I'll assist in any way I can to make it supported and smooth! Vera helped with my sister's birth and she was wonderful. I can't believe how she was able to stay attentive and supportive all night and the next day and then even into the next night! She's such an incredible resource! We'd recommend Vera and Wildwood Birth to anyone expecting a new baby.
Thank you so much for everything you do!!!
Having Vera’s support as a postpartum doula has been a joy! Her nurturing presence and knowledgeability definitely eased my postpartum transition. I found Vera to be very conscientious of the needs of a new parent. She always entered our space so gently, which was so needed especially in those tender early days. She listened actively and non judgmentally to my concerns and anything else I wanted to share. I found it especially helpful to process my birth story with her. Vera was so supportive and equipped with helpful information, and if she didn’t know the answer to my question, she would research to find out!
My baby also loves Vera. She was always calm in her arms which allowed me to have a break, eat, take a shower or even a nap!
Vera is great to work with, she always communicates clearly and is right on time! She’s just a lovely person to spend time with as well. We share lots of laughs and I always look forward to her visits!
Vera was such an amazing doula I had a hard time trying to write a review, because I felt like nothing I said would do her justice. So here is my story, I decided I wanted a doula very late into my pregnancy actually at 38 weeks, Vera set up a meeting I sat down with her and automatically I felt my worries and stress about labor dissipate as she went into detail and describe what to expect ( I learned it was nothing like the movies lol) we went over my birthing plan. she has a very peaceful and wise way to her, she leaves you feeling very informed and confident. That next week I went into labor Vera meet us at the hospital, ready and in phenomenal spirits, my labor was not quick actually quite the opposite but with that being said she never once lost that tranquil way about herself, and ability to step right in and help. My labor was very hard and at times felt like this baby was never going to come out (My baby was born OP which we found out while giving vaginal birth) Vera kept me calm and my eye on prize , now looking at my labor and delivery I really don’t think I could have had that amazing experience without all her hard work. If you are reading this and looking for a labor doula Vera is unbelievable and I would recommend her!! Thank you Vera for mastering your craft.
Vera assisted us with post-partum services. She provided much needed overnight support and was truly a godsend. This was our second child. I really struggled with post-partum anxiety after the birth of our daughter, and I was really scared that I would experience the same anxiety with our second baby. We tried the first few weeks with minimal support before we called Vera. It was really hard for me to calm myself enough to sleep, even when the baby was sleeping. Vera is a calming presence and I was able to trust her to care for our new baby. I could allow myself to sleep knowing that he was being taken care of. It is such a gift to let somebody else take the responsibility for a few hours. She was quiet, and we wouldn’t even hear her in the night. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that someone else was awake with him. We hired her for four sessions, and spaced them out to once a week. It worked really well, whenever I would start to feel overwhelmed, I would know that we would have a break coming soon. It made the early post-partum time feel so manageable.
Vera made it so easy, she was easy to communicate with. She always offered to do additional tasks throughout the night to make our lives easier. Also, she is so calm and helped to settle some of my frenetic energy. If you are on the fence about whether to schedule post-partum support, do it, it seriously changed our entire post-partum experience.
Thank you Vera!
Vera is a wonderful doula. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was attentive, patient and supportive through my entire LONG labor. She was my advocate in the hospital and helped explain the procedures to me in ways that were easy to understand during such a stressful time. When she didn’t have an answer she would find one. She was excellent support for me and extremely valuable. Her calm nature made me feel at ease.
At first, we didn’t consider a doula, but looking back, I am so glad that we decided that Vera was part of my sons birth plan.
