I am so grateful to have had Dasha as both my birth and postpartum doula. I really feel lucky with how much she taught me, how understanding and kind she is. I truly don't know how anybody does this without a doula, it must be so lonely and scary at times! I think it helps too to have someone open minded and non-judgemental, who is just there to support you and see you through some of the wild twists and turns of all the stages! Our baby had quite a few complications come up and needed  and extended hospital stay, and Dasha was there with me, both in the NICU and at home. It was a huge help and we have stayed in contact since, even though my baby is getting older. Anyone would be so lucky to have Dasha care for them, she's incredible and makes a huge difference!!! Thank you so much again.

Dasha was absolutely indispensable during my birth! I cannot recommend her enough. She is an excellent doula.

During my pregnancy, she was very responsive to any questions I had. Her demeanour was always calm, nurturing, and reassuring. She is very knowledgeable and helped me navigate my prenatal appointments with my doctor. She knew what to expect in the later appointments (which I was very nervous about) and let me know about the pros and cons of me holding my ground on certain things like dilation checks. Her knowledge is rooted in both science and experience. She also prepared my partner and I for what to expect postpartum as new parents.

In the final weeks of my pregnancy, Dasha continued to be extremely responsive to any questions or worries I had about labour and the birth process. She even dropped off a TENS machine a few weeks beforehand in case I went into labour earlier than expected.

On the day I went into labour, Dasha arrived quickly and I felt like I had my mother with me. She was an essential support person to have at my birth. She was very comforting and reassuring and was the exact gentle, maternal presence I needed. She was my ideal support person. Things did not go as expected, and I do not know what my baby and I would have done without Dasha. The entire time she remained calm, kind, and gentle. It was clear that she was also very knowledgeable about the birth process. At the hospital, Dasha held space for me so that I could make informed decisions about what was going on. She reminded medical professionals of my requests, advocated for me when I needed it, and helped me get my first latch. She didn't leave until I felt settled.

Postpartum, Dasha was there to support me when I needed to triple feed, and during those moments when I needed reassurance the most.

Dasha really is an invaluable person to have during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dasha supported our family earlier this year and I keep thinking about the difference she made in the whole experience. I had a very fast birth and it would have been so overwhelming if not for her help. Dasha had excellent communication all through my pregnancy and on the day of the birth she could judge how my labour was progressing, and came to help right away. I loved being able to use the tens, be in water, and her ability to know where the best counter pressure spots are was also incredibly helpful. The biggest help was her talking me through the contractions one by one, it really took the stress off my partner too. We would recommend Dasha to anyone having a baby and really cannot thank her enough.

Dasha was my birthing doula and my post partum doula. She was amazing in both areas and was a truly invaluable support to me, as well as my partner. I had what I consider to be a traumatic birth experience, but she really helped me get through it, and recover in a way I could not have done without her. I remember a few moments during the birth experience where she demonstrated her strong doula abilities... The nurses were leaving all the lights on and making the painful labour so much more painful and clinical feeling, but when Dasha arrived she took charge of the environment and shut off all the lights and put out little candles, to make everything feel so much calmer. She also placed my newborn on my breast to feed just moments after birth. Given all that had just gone on, I would have completely forgotten to do that, despite all that I read about how helpful and positive that is for mom and baby. That to me was an absolute gift.

Her postpartum support was wonderful also. My daughter really seemed to like being with her (she stayed calm in Dasha's presence and slept on her a number of times) and she was also able to provide a variety of types of support, such as information sharing as well as direct childcare for mom to have some mommy time ??

I wish we could have had more time with her!

I would highly recommend Dasha and Birthing Bean's doula serivce. My birth experience wouldnt have been the same without her. Im very grateful I found her. She is very knowledgable and passionate about her work. Its clear she loves what she does and she wanted us to have the best experience possible. Regardless of how everything would play out I felt I was in safe, capable, judgement free hands. She was always willing to answer any questions I had with answers I knew I could trust. She had endless resources available curated for exactly what we needed. She was great at listening to what I wanted and needed. She adapts to her clients personilty to make them feel comfortable. Her communication was always immediate which was really appreciated. On the big day she was by my side every moment I needed her. She also provided photography service which I would recomended highly as well. She was able to capture candid moments I wont ever want to forget. Thank you Dasha!

My experience with Dasha was over and above anything I have experienced.  I had a difficult 17 hour delivery and if it wasn’t for her I don’t know what would have happened.  She is the best. I would recommend her ans even be able to tell my detail experience with anyone.  You can give my number or email.  She is so sweet and calm and so helpful.  My cell is 236-887-1797 and my email is. Alcbonita@hotmail.com

In very difficult times she even helped my husband who was very worried when the baby’s heart was starting to slow down.  I am thankful for her and will never forget her ????

Dasha was amazing right from the very beginning. My husband and I were looking for a doula who was assertive yet compassionate, and could provide us with resources and guidance to help answer our never-ending questions. Dasha was all of these things and so much more.

For our first meeting Dasha sent us various online resources on breastfeeding, comfort during labour and other ways to prepare for the big day, and then spent almost 2 hours with us walking us through what to expect and generally allowing us to get to know her. Before labour I had moments where waves of anxiety would wash over me, and Dasha was always there to calm me down and again send me resources that gave me the right tools for adjusting my mindset.

When the time came Dasha was right there texting back and forth with us until we needed her. She came over at 1am and was with us for the wild ride of labour until our son was born at 10:18am that same day. Dasha provided support in practical ways with items such as the tens machine and applying pressure in certain areas during contractions, and also in emotional ways by constantly offering words of encouragement. At one point in the hospital she was asked by a nurse to wait outside, but she firmly maintained that she was needed (which she most definitely was), and did not leave my side. My husband and I also realized later that if it weren't for Dasha there's a chance we would have waited too long at home and not made it to the hospital on time! Again we were so thankful to have her there to guide us through this incredible but entirely new experience.

Thank you Dasha for everything, you are so appreciated and the birth of our son would not have been the same without you. xox

Dasha was an absoute pleasure to work with. Her communication was always prompt and she was very supportive. She continued to help us in our post partum phase with any questions we had or support that we needed. We were not sure that we wanted to have a doula until fairly late in our pregnancy and as the father I can honestly say that I'm extremely happy we hired Dasha. It allowed me as the father to be much more present during labour and delivery for my wife. Some of our other friends have said that as the father, the delivery period was something they "choose to forget" or "something they can't get out of their mind" or "things they cannot unsee". With Dasha by our side, I can say happily that I had a very positive experience of labour and delivery. I would highly encourage you to speak with Dasha prior to hiring a doula.

Dasha was knowledgeable, professional, empathetic, and kind. I was so happy to have her in my corner during my labour and delivery. I would (and have) whole heartedly recommend her to anyone expecting a child - especially a first time parent. I had a very positive, empowering birth experience and I attribute much of that to the incredible birth team who worked with me - including Dasha.

We were so glad to have Dasha at our home birth. She has a calming presence and utilizes a variety of birth positions/techniques to help baby get into an optimal position during labour. We were so glad to have Dasha advocate for us during our labour. Even though we ended up transferring to the hospital, she was there to encourage and stand by us. It was also wonderful to debrief with her postpartum. I highly recommend Dasha!

I cannot recommend Dasha enough! She was an incredible support before, during and after our delivery. She is so very knowledgeable and available to navigate even the most bizarre circumstances. She helped us every step of the way with a complicated delivery and I really don't know what we would have done without her. She helped my husband with techniques and tricks to support me during contractions and pushing. It empowered and involved him in a way that made him feel more a part of delivery and a huge support to me as well. Dasha's services are absolutely invaluable. She is a wonderful kind, compassionate and brilliant friend for life! Everyone should be so lucky to have her support!

Brandon and I had a really great experience working with Dasha. She listenend to what we wanted during our first couple of vistis and had the tools and information needed to make labour a good experience. You never really know how your going to react to labour and what your going to need at the time. It was nice just having her there as a support person giving me ideas of positions that might help with the pain. We can't thank her enough for the experience she heled us have!

Meeting Dasha and having her my doula was such a beautiful gift. She is one of the most caring, empathetic and warm people I have met. Since our first meeting she showed an amazing availability to accomodate my needs, preferences and desires, it didn't matter what they were. As a yoga teacher she taught me prenatal exercices that brought me well being and helped so much in the preparation for birth. Her warmth and extremely supportive attitude left me feeling much more confident and relaxed to wait for my first labour and go through it. She's just wonderful as a person and professional, I feel very lucky to have met her and to have had her as my doula.

Dasha was extremely professional, knowledgable and calming throughout the whole process. During one of the most intense times of our life, she helped us remain focused and positive about the whole situation. There is no doubt that when we have another baby that we will be working with Dasha again.

Dasha is an incredible doula. I had so much anxiety about how everything might go in labour, and she made both me and my partner feel so much more at ease. I loved our prenatal appointments, and how thorough, warm, and reassuring she is. I had a lot of questions, and they all got answered. When I went into labour, she was quick to come and knew how to help right away. I had a long labour, and still she remained so patient and calm, always knowing just the thing to get me through those powerful contractions. She also helped me trust my baby and work together during early breastfeeding, and I feel like I learned a lot! Those naps we got in postpartum visits are also greatly appreciated! I can't imagine what this whole experience would have been like without her help. We are forever grateful.
