Sarah Norris Henricksen

Jennie did a phnominal job supporting us during pregnancy, labor and the early months with our little girl. Jennie met with us several times to make sure she knew what we wanted and how she could help us have our ideal birthing experience. She was very knowledgeable and was willing to provide a professional oppinon with asked, although she encouraged us to have our own oppion. One of my favorite parts of having Jennies support was the varity of knowledge and experience she brought to the table and if there was something she was uninformed about she would research, ask other professionals, and get back to us. My husband really wanted me consume the plecenta post partum. Jennie provided many companies we could go with, however in the end she went ahead and capsilated it herself. This is one of the winning characteristics that was present in our work with Jennie. If she didnt have an answer for something (which was not often) she would find one. I was four days late and experiencing contractions the whole week. During this time Jennie was checking in on us making sure we were alright, and even came out a few times that week to make sure I was not alone while my husband was at work. Having Jennie in the delivery room was great support for my husband as well. It allowed him the chance to get a little sleep and be ready to help with post partum while not leaving me unsupported. We stayed a total of two nights since my water broke prior to labor starting. The first night Jennie was up with me most of the night taking care of me. It was also our first baby and my husband had no idea what to do and having Jennie there with all her experience was a great releaf. Jennie also checked up on us post partum. She was very conciencious of our need to rest and our family wanting time with the new baby. Jennie also offered baby massage classes and belly casts which are fun additions to this experience.

I had a great opportunity to have a doula for my second labor. Really I didn't know much about the role of a doula and didn't know what to expect. I met Jennie on my last month of pregnancy. From the start she was so easy to be around with. Jennie has a comforting and supportive vibe. She was very attentive to all my needs and is just a natural in providing support at the right time. I am so glad that I had Jennie to get me through the hours of labor. She was always by my side cheering  me on and she even gave me a much needed massage!
