I'm a student midwife, and midwife assistant, and am highly experienced with homebirth in the local area. I have worked with most of the area midwives, as well.
In addition to being an experienced Certified Doula, I am a Certified Childbirth Educator that maintains an active membership with ICEA, I’m a member of Spokane Professional Doula Association. I conduct low cost classes in the community; teaching about hormones, wellness, body awareness, fertility and classes for young ladies going through puberty. I offer low cost doula services for teen mothers, and those considering adoption. I frequently work with area midwives to offer excellent continuity of care. I'm a Certified Herbalist, so I'm truly a birth educator, doula and practitioner that offers full scope care for the childbearing year. I am active with ICAN, and a mother with 2 previous C-Sections and 8 VBA2C (8 vaginal births after 2 c-section) , and maintain awareness of current local birth culture issues, as well as providers in the area.
I will work with families with flexible payment plans, reduced rate for hardship, reduced rate for combining with Childbirth Education classes, and will take a reduced fee for teen mothers.

I cannot brag enough on Andrea! Andrea makes you feel loved and cared for and was a constant encouragement through out my pregnancy and delivrey. She is also informative and passionate about what she does, and through that, she gave me the confidence I needed to have a VBAC homebirth.
Andrea has a true servants heart and was there for absolutly everything we needed during delivery day. She was making us meals, giving me massages, praying over us, coaching and encouraging me (and my husband) through contractions, and just loving on us in so many ways. I am so thankful for her and can't wait for Andrea to be apart of our next homebirth.
Andrea was my doula for my third pregnancy and birth. I was pregnant with mono-di twins and before I found out I was having twins I had planned a homebirth with a local midwife group, once I found out I was having twins things got so complicated and I felt so overwhelmed by it all. I didn't find Andrea until I was into my third trimester and she was so helpful as I tried to plan a possible hospital or homebirth depending on how things went. Her experience with both a twin pregnancy of her own and having had multiple VBAC's herself was so helpful as this was going to be my second VBAC. Her knowledge and confidence brought me peace many times as we navigated the pregnancy, and eventually quite eventful birth of my twins. My labor was long and at points discouraging and she always knew what to do or say to boost my spirits. Both twins were born at home and I am so glad we had Andrea there as our Doula. I feel she was the perfect Doula for our birth and I consider her a wonderful person and friend. I would highly reccommend her to any pregnant woman but especially anyone looking for someone knowledgeable in the birth of multiples or VBAC/HBAC.
My experience with Andrea was absolutely amazing! I did not think I would need nor desired to have a doula present at the birth of my firstborn. However my midwives insisted that it would be a good idea.
My labor progressed fairly quickly. We were waiting for the birthing center to open up after an earlier birth that morning. I was thankful to have Andrea as we almost had the baby at my house, which we definitely were not prepared for. She stepped up and started to prepare the house just in case, though we finally got the okay to head to the center.
At the birth center, I started to experience pretty intense back labor. She showed us a spot on my back that could be pressed in order to relieve some of the pain (which she faithfully did throughout the rest of my labor) There were times I thought I couldn't go any further and she was always right there to encourage me that I could.
Even after my son was born, I've been able to ask Andrea questions throughout the postpartum period. I 100% recommend Andrea for your birth experience. She is faithful, loving, understanding, and a true servant.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Andrea! Not only is she responsive all the time, she does what she does because she loves to help women and serves the Lord. She has a heart to help and she isn’t about the “money” or anything else. She is also so knowledgeable and been able to provide advice in so many areas, not only my life and health but my toddlers health. She has been a blessing to me!
