Fee Details

As a birth doula I work on sliding scale, I am wiling to work with each client based on their budget; I also offer very affordable payment plans. Money shouldn't come between a mother and her ideal birth experience. As a postpartum doula I work at a flat fee of $30 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per visit. I also accept payment plans as a postpartum doula. Again, I am a firm believer in the idea that every woman deserves to be supported in labor, birth and motherhood regardless of finances, message me if your financial situation can not conform to my pricing.

Sarah was absolutely amazing from the very beginning! She was always just a phone call or message away whenever I had any questions. We met up together and talked about just about everything from pregnancy to postpartum. Both me and my husband grew a bond with Sarah as more of a friend, which proved to be so important for me during my birth! We always spoke about my midwife appointments after everyone and when I was having some complications with my iron, she made sure to not just get the facts but to also ask how the information made me feel. She also came to me and did an in-home birthing class for me and my husband that helped us so much in mentally preparing ourselves for things to expect. She did not hesitate in coming over when I texted her that I thought my water had broken. She was beyond helpful and supportive through my entire labor, especially when things started to get really long and rough. She stuck by my side the entire time and encouraged and comforted me. Sarah also helped my husband during my long labor as well, making sure he was able to get food and water and even rest! After my daughter finally arrived she made sure that I had everything that I needed and even offered to come over the same evening to check on me. The day after, she came over and helped me with some stuff that I wasn’t 100% sure of and she even made sure to make me lots of padsicles, which have been an absolute lifesaver!!

Sarah was my birth and post partum doula. While my husband was great in every way, I’m not sure I would have been able to achieve such a flawless, unmedicated birth without Sarah! I cannot say enough to express how wonderful she is. She ensures that you enter your birthing experience with as much knowledge as possible. She remains calm, supportive, gentle, and kind throughout the entire experience. Leading up to birth she reaches out often to ensure you are feeling okay physically and mentally. Following the birth she cooked our family two delicious meals, offered to run errands, and provided me with any help I may need. She also provides you with several items that make your postpartum experience less difficult. My baby girl is now one year old and Sarah still periodically checks in on our family. The perfect doula. A beautiful soul. My husband and I couldn’t be any more grateful!

Sarah is so thorough, knowledgeable and kind. She is always willing to sacrifice her own time to help others with any questions or concerns. She continued to check in on me and my new one long after her birth. Sarah will stand up for your wants and desires throughout the birthing process, taking lots of stress off of the mamma. I highly recommend this sweet lady and will never use another dual!

Sarah is amazing!! She has taken such good care of me!! She was very informative about the birthing process and what to expect. And even more helpful during my first week of postpartum. I don’t deserve such special treatment, but she has gone above and beyond for me! Love her!

I had an amazing experience with Sarah !!!!

I am a first time mom and there was a lot I just didn't know about , and my biggest fear has always been the unknown and with pregnancy & labor there is a lot of that . When I first found Sarah I still had no clue that I could find a doula that showed the amount of care and attention she showed towards me and my partner

From the very beginning she made it feel as if I had known her for forever and especially with COVID rn the hospitals are just not as friendly and don't take as much time with patients! when I wouldn't understand something she was right there From the big stuff too the small stuff like me wanting some pudding I couldn't have asked for a better support system and a knowledgeable person to help ease all the unknown fears

Sarah was my saving grace and I don't know what I would've done without her!

She’s a caring, dependable, supportive, and sweet person. Even though we weren’t living very close I could always count on her. I really appreciate having her on my side even after delivery. Thank you Sarah!

I never really understood what a doula did but after watching my daughter go through her first labor and delivery with Sarah Barr, I am in awe! Sarah was by her side throughout her entire labor which went on and on. She encouraged her and helped her through each stage. She was also an amazing source of comfort for us. It is hard to watch your daughter go through such a rough time, but having Sarah there to be the liaison for Alexis and Will with the birthing center staff and hospital staff was AMAZING! I can't imagine going through this again without her by our side! Even when things changed and Alexis had to go to the hospital, Sarah never left her side. I highly recommend Sarah and thank God she was ours for this amazing chapter in our daughter and son in law's life!

Sarah was a literal experience saver. She encouraged me and pushed me forward when i didn't think i could do it anymore. My son came EXTREMELY fast... less than 3 hours of active labor.I was terrified, my labor with my daughter had been so long i didn't want to go to the hospital too early. By the time my husband realized that i was having real and frequent contractions it was too late. I no longer wanted to go to the hospital, I was too scared. He called Sarah and she gently reminded me that i had conquered this fear before and that i could do it again. We barely made it to the hopsital but Sarah was right there with me telling me how awesome i am as a woman and a mother. I will always be grateful for her love and support on my son's birth day. I tell every pregnant woman i see how amazing she is and all that she did for me and my husband.

Sarah was a huge part of my delivery, I don’t think I could have gotten through it without her kind words and affirmations. My labor was really intensive and at times, traumatic. Sarah kept me calm, cool, and collected when I would have otherwise freaked out and given up. Although my husband was a great supportive partner, Sarah really took the time to walk me through all stages of my labor. Even though my labor didn’t go as planned and I ended up having an emergency c-section, she was right there with me every step of the way. I highly recommend her for any expecting mama. Sarah is so down-to-earth and creating my birth plan with her was such an easy and positive experience!!
