I am extremely happy that we hired Rhiley to be our doula. Rhiley approached all of the birth planning with logic and reasoning and was always ready to support any of our needs. When it came to birthing, Rhiley was able to be more of the coach and I was able to be more of the support for my wife. Allowing me to be support gave me freedom to focus on my wife. Not having to focus on each step or good practice let me give the best support I could. I am incredibly grateful that I got to spend our birthing with my wife, loving on her and just being for her.

I highly recommend having Rhiley as a birth doula. We chose to work with her because we liked her organized practical approach to working with doctors, nurses, hospitals, and us. Not only does Rhiley have helpful prenatal meetings, but she provides great resources, answers, and clear data to any questions that we had. It was wonderful having someone, beyond my spouse, to support, encourage, ask questions (that I would want answered), clarify items, and give me peace through my entire birth process. I appreciated how much she provided personalized support. Having her by my side helped me to work through fear that I had developed from my first birth experience, and then have the birth that I was hoping for.  I felt empowered, cared for, and then able to just enjoy my new lovely baby.

Rhiley was incredibly helpful. She was a much needed helping hand at the birth itself and with preperation leading up to the big day. Her knowledge and access to many reliable resources were very useful to help education us on our ideal birth. I would highly recommend her.

Rhiley was an absolutely rock star through the whole process of our first pregnancy.  She was super informative and supportive the entire time.  We cannot imagine having our first baby girl without the help of Rhiley.  She was helpful to not only myself as I was nervous, in pain, excited, scared, you name it prior to, during, and after labor....but she was super helpful to my wife as she going through all of the emotions with me.  If we are to have another baby, we would absolutely use Rhiley again.  5 stars does not do justice to Rhiley's knowledge, support, humor and professionalism!

Having Rhiley as our Doula was the best decision for our family. Rhiley was incredibly organized which made our meetings go smoothly. We knew what to expect during each meeting together, and we really enjoyed that time together preparing for our little one. I was so impressed with her knowledge and willingness to find answers on various topics throughout our pregnancy. When it was GO Time Rhiley was very responsive and helped me process that YES you're really going to have a baby! :)  She met us at the hospital quickly. We ended up needing to make a medical decision for our little one for me to have a C-section. Rhiley was incredible. She helped us understand all of the things the medical staff were saying and doing. When I needed her the most, she was there. Encouraging, holding my hand, and brining such positive energy and loving support in a new situation for my husband and I. I would choose Rhiley again in a heart beat! She was a good match for us becuase of her true desire to help you through each minute of labor and delivery. She thinks of all the things you don't and helps your partner prepare for supporting you as well. There aren't enough words to describe how important it was to have a Doula that would be and do all the things we wanted/needed. Rhiley was the perfect match for us, and so much more!

Rhiley was a phenomenal doula who made it her mission to comfort myself giving birth and my husband. She was constantly working to ease my pain, calm our fears, and show us ways we could accomplish our pregnancy and delivery goals.

I wanted to see if I was capable of having an unmediated birth for health benefits for myself and baby. Rhiley made that possible. If she wasn’t a part of our birth story, I don’t know that we could have done it.

After birth, Rhiley met with us a couple of days later to discuss our labor. We really enjoyed the timeline that she created to help us know what was happening, when, and why. She also sent us home with a plethora of of resources which helped us tremdeously in the first few weeks in terms of breastfeeding and comforting baby.

When I went to my birthing class at Mercy, the instructor (who was also a doula), was talking about Mercy having a volunteer doula program.  Until this class I had heard of a doula but had no idea what exactly they did.  As the class went on and I learned more about it it sounded more and more interesting.  My cousin, who was my couch during birth, asked me after the class if I would be interested in requesting the doula.  I told her yes, if one is available I would be game for that.  This was my first birth so I kind of wanted to try it without any pain medicines (now I know how crazy that sounds) and what better way to help than a doula.  So the day of induction I gave the nurse my birthing plan and advised that if a doula was available I would like one.  So later in the morning Rhiley showed up with a bag of goodies and a ton of ideas and knowledge to help with the delivery.  Before she arrived I was a bit nervous thinking what if we don’t click or what if it was going to be awkward... well that was NOT the case, Rhiley was awesome and fit right in!  We did a lot of laughing and talking.  She was great and had so many great suggestions for things to try once the labor started full force.  She suggested laboring positions the nurse hadn’t even thought of.  She worked with the nurse and at times when the real pushing was happening my nurse needed to check in with my dr and Rhiley took over on the contractions for the nurse.  Her and my cousin were an awesome team and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!  She was with me until the wee hours of the morning after my long labor going from an expected vaginal birth to a c-section.  She even stopped by later in the day after my son was born to check in on us.  I highly recommend her and if I were to have another baby she would be part of my birthing plan again.
