I used Hannah as my doula for a natural, birthcenter birth and we also took her childbirth education classes. I was quite a distance away, but she took me on! Hannah was completely supportive of and comfortable with all the things I wanted for my birth. She gave all information as evidence based and answered my questions with facts or "I'll find out". Hannah only gave her opinion when specifically asked for it. (Which I did)
She's a person who you can completely trust and a strong woman of faith. Hannah is also a great leader and was very clear/well-spoken during our meetings, her childbirth classes and the labor and birth itself.
During the birth, she helped me in every way she could and without hesitation. If she was frustrated with me or tired, she didn't let me know it! I had a lot of back labor and a long labor and she put counter pressure or squeezed my hips on 98% of my contractions. Her shoulders were still attached to their sockets the next day.
She worked well with my midwives that she had not previously worked with also. My midwives told me later how great they thought she was and that they liked her.
Without Hannah, I would not have made it through the birth completely naturally. When I wanted to give in, she just helped me push instead and I am so thankful I still got the blessing of having my baby naturally.
Every part of my labor and birth that could have been controlled was, with her help, and I am so thankful to Hannah. I hope to use her for all the births/babies I may have, because I can't imagine going through labor without her.

I have had the pleasure of having Hannah as my back up doula for almost a year now. This doula right here, is more than just your average birth worker. Hannah KNOWS birth. Out of all of the other doulas I have met, Hannah's spirit shines the most when she talks about her clients. Not only is she a welath of information, but she will bend over backwards to help her clients.I am honored to have her as my backup and love getting to work with her. I would reccomend her to anyone who is wanting doula care. You will not be dissapointed.

Love, love, love my experience having Hannah be a part of my birth team! I was honestly one of those people who were kind of skeptical about having a “doula”. Hannah changed that!! She is such a sweet and genuinely caring person. Her expertise and knowledge helped support me along the way from early pregnancy, everything in between and of course labor/delivery day! Whatever I needed she was always available! I just wish I could’ve had her help with my first born! Thank you Hannah for such a great experience, your prayers and support during my preggo journey!

If there is a rating for Hannah, I would give her a 10 out of 10.

In the beginning of our experience with Hannah, we met just to get an idea of what to expect and what her role would be during our labor and delivery process. There was an instant comfort level and she was ok with us calling her into our process a little late in the game with only 3 weeks to go until our due date. Later that day, we met with our Doctor and brought up Hannah as a potential Doula and this doctor had all positive remarks and highly recommended her services as well due to the past experiences and general relationships and reputation Hannah has with the staff at Wise Regional Hospital. If our minds were not made up already, that glowing review sealed our decision.

Our baby was 2 weeks early! We were able to contact Hannah on our way to the hospital after the bag of waters had broke. Hannah was there for us even though it was Easter Sunday! Throughout our process, she was able to comfort, provide labor pain relief, help explain medical information, and aid our decision making process. All of that was expected, but she also stayed up all through the night while we were in labor. When our birth plan wasn't quite fitting with the plans our baby made with coming 2 weeks early, Hannah was there to back up our choices to alter our 100% natural plan to include an epidural due to intense back labor pains. There was neither shaming nor harsh words, but rather support and affirmation for the choices we made to allow for rest leading up to the final push. There were some tense moments in that last hour of pain that Hannah really made the difference. While we might have been unsure of what to expect of our nurses during the night, Hannah was the driving force that ensured our needs were met and that all needs were met to finish our birthing process in the best way possible.

We absolutely recommend Hannah's services and will use her again in the future! - W&M

Let me just start by saying that Hannah is awesome! With my first pregnancy, I wasn't as prepared or educated. Because of this, my "birth plan" was basically tossed out. So many things happened that resulted in an emergency c-section. I scheduled an induction the day after the due date, I never went into labor on my own (meds did it for me), and I started pushing way too soon. After 21hrs of labor, about 6hrs of pushing, the Dr. realized the baby's head was positioned to the side of my pelvis.

This second time around, I met Hannah at a "Mommy and Me" class. At first I was skeptical of thinking a doula wouldn't be as much help as anyone of my family members and I didn't feel comfortable about a stranger being in the same room while in labor. A friend of mine told me about all that she does and convinced me to give her a chance. I'm very glad I did! Hannah is a kind, very caring, and a God fearing woman. She answered all of my questions and was so supportive every step of the way! No matter what time it was, she responded. I went into labor at 11:30pm, told her to meet me at the hospital a few hours later. She arrived there first and had a further distance than I did!

Because of her support and knowledge, I had met my goal of a very successful vbac without any medication. If you were to ask if I would do it all over again I would say yes in a heartbeat! It felt great to have a now good friend of mine be there to help and comfort me throughout the whole journey.

Thank you so much, Hannah!

My husband and I were expecting our first child, yet we had no idea what to expect. I wasnt even aware that having a doula was an option until I talked to Hannah. We were very blessed to have Hannah available throughout my entire pregnancy she was an incredible help!

My husband encouraged me to attempt a natural delivery. I was on board with the idea, but I was worried about the pain. This was not something that I had ever experienced before and I was not sure how I would handle it. Knowing that Hannah would be by my side was the comfort I needed to go through with mine and my husband's desire of having a natural birth. She offered a variety of ways to help manage the pain, answered all my questions, and provided me with accurate resources of information.

Hannah was with me throughout the entire labor process. She did her job very well and made it possible for me to have a pleasant birth experience. By her encouragement and willingness to do whatever I needed to keep me comfortable, I was able to make it through the natural birth that I wanted. I highly recommend Hannah as a doula!

Hanna was such an amazing help with my labor and pregnancy. It was so nice to have someone there to lean on and ask questions. We weren’t sure if we wanted to hire a doula, but we are so glad we did. She encouraged us think about decisions we needed to make on delivery day ahead of time so that we didn’t find ourselves stuck guessing with little time to get informed. After meeting Hanna I felt prepared and knew that I had the best chance of having the delivery I wanted. I highly recommend her.

Hannah is an excellent doula! My husband and I were going into our first pregnancy with little to no knowledge about birth and babies. Hannah changed that! She gave us all the material we needed to make an informed decision about our birth plan, using an OB compared to a midwife, and much more! Hannah made it clear that she supported whichever birth plan we decided to go with. She also was there to help me if my husband needed a break. Hannah wasn’t there just for me, but my husband as well. I did end up having to go through an emergency cesarean and she was able to make sure we knew what that meant as well as encourage us through the entire process. Hannah was very reassuring and encouraging through my entire labor and delivery. It was a blessing to be informed, encouraged, and supported especially since it was my first pregnancy. I highly recommend her to anyone who is pregnant!
