Looking for the perfect doula? Look no futher!! Lindsey is the one! My husband and I couldn't have done it without her. She was there for us from the very start...multiple pre-natal meetings, countless check-ins via phone, so many questions answered...then the birth came. She was so helpful, caring, and loving. She did everything from advocate for me, help me switch positions, got me water and jello, massages, and gave me vast emotional support...I could go on for hours!! She even stayed AFTER the baby was born to make sure breast feeding went well!! And we had visits post-partum as well. She has been an excellent resource for me, and a friend. My husband and I told her that she is 100% hired for baby #2!!! We love you Lindsey!!
I was fortunate enough to have Lindsey as my doula during 38 hours of labor.
As a first time mom, who refused to take any classes on childbirth/what to expect, I am SO glad that Lindsey was there for me and my family.
She respected my wishes for a natural birth (through the duration of 30 hours of back labor she never once recommended anything that would change my birth plan), and fluidly transitioned from that wish to me getting an epidural. Not once did she make me feel less than strong, capable, and amazing.
We sent everyone home for a break/naps after the epidural kicked in, but Lindsey stayed. I couldn’t sleep and rather than getting some shut-eye, she stayed awake with me. I don’t even remember what we talked about, but I remember feeling grateful I wasn’t just sitting there in silence as my husband slept.
When the time came to push, she was there, holding a leg and encouraging me.
I felt that Lindsey was exactly what we needed. There was a point just before the epidural where everyone was exhausted and emotionally drained and there was little that could be done for the pain I was experiencing. Lindsey took it upon herself to go get coffee for my parents and husband. SHE GOT THEM COFFEE. Not because that was part of her role, but because she wanted to help.
Lindsey is a fantastic doula and really cares about her work. I will be calling her for future pregnancies without a doubt!
