I am eternally grateful to Haley and the team of doulas she assembled for their wisdom and help during the first 6 months on my twins lives. I have a friend who just had a baby and I realized so much of the advice and kindness I am able to bestow upon her is because of the incredible experience I had with Haley. In particular, I was able to exclusively breastfeed my twins for the first 4 months because of her overnight support. So much of the work we do doesn’t have an immediate feedback loop but what Haley did for my family has long term and lasting effects. If you're on the fence about working with a doula, reach out to Haley. You truly don't know how much support you need when you're knee deep in the newborn period but once you emerge, you'll realize how much better the entire family is when you have help from doulas like Haley.

Haley was such an exceptional support for us—before, during and after our birth. She was like the mom, friend and nurse we needed all combined into one. For our prenatal appointments with her, she answered all (and I emphasize all!) our questions with both research and compassion.

During our birth, as the doctors and nurses were in and out, she was the constant support that we really needed. She helped us make important decisions, made sure I labored in positions that were best for the baby (even when I just wanted to lay down!), and was a huge part in making the birth of our healthy baby go as wonderfully as it did.

Even more support came postpartum. We were so in love with our new baby, but so many questions came up. She was always there to answer and help us—again with compassion and research. She was that safety net when we were home, making sure that we didn't feel alone, and our transition into parenthood was as smooth as it could be. And, it wouldn't have been as amazing and happy without her.

My first conversation with Haley made me feel incredibly at ease, and I knew immediately that she was the birth partner I wanted. I liked her philosophies, her energy, and very much appreciated her practice of including the spouse/partner in her doula-ing; I was also looking for support for my husband through the birthing process because while he had many good intentions, I knew he'd be anxious in the moment too, and I wanted a positive experience for both of us (and baby!). By the time my due date rolled around, I was excited to have my baby!

Working with Haley was awesome. She was responsive to any questions I had, reaching out to check on me, asking about doctor's appointments and helping me decipher what I didn't fully understand. She helped me create an awesome birth wishes outline, giving me lots of resources and information to consider when my husband and I were making our decisions about the things we wanted when our child arrived. When my due date came and went, Haley was great about offering advice and ideas on how to work through the extended timeline of my pregnancy. We actually ended up opting for an induction, and Haley helped us work through the pros and cons of that choice, and was instrumental in how good I felt about moving forward with it.

My actual birth was complicated, and I truly feel I couldn't have experienced it as positively as I did without Haley's support. My birth experience wasn't what I had hoped for (we ran into unforeseen complications requiring a lot of interventions we hadn't planned on), but we left it overwhelmed with gratitude for Haley's involvement and guidance. Additionally, the follow up care after my daughter's birth has been endlessly appreciated - Haley still checks on us, and it makes me so happy.

I highly recommend working with Haley!

Haley was an incredible doula and we are so grateful she was with us. From the moment we met her, Haley was a calm and reassuring presence in our home. She took the time to get to know us (and our pup) so that we were at ease from the start. At one of our prenatal visits, Haley walked through our home with us and pointed out things we could set up or do pre-baby to make our first weeks easier like set up a changing area downstairs and buy snacks for those midnight feeds. Her tips were so helpful we've repeated them to all our pregnant friends!

My labor was long and difficult and Haley stayed by side the entire time. She somehow knew exactly what my husband and I needed without ever having to ask. She suggested different laboring positions and whispered words of encouragement. When labor got really tough, I just looked for her calming face. I don't know we would have gotten through it without her. She also took beautiful photos of our labor and delivery, though I don't remember noticing she was snapping photos at that time. We're so grateful to have those now.

Among the best parts of working with Haley was her postpartum care. She visited our new family a few times after baby was born to help us give him his first bath and use baby carriers and answered general baby care questions. My husband and I were so happy and so relieved to see her each time she came by. She even helped care for baby when I struggled with mastititis and needed to rest.

If it is not already plainly evident, there are not enough positive words to describe Haley. She is kind and skilled and strong. If we are lucky enough to have another baby, we will call her the minute we get that positive pregnancy test. She will always be a part of our family.
