I am so happy I chose Ailish to be my doula. From the very beginning she was very professional, but more than that she was so sweet, attentive, down to earth, and just a great person to be around. She helped me so much during her visits and was always willing and available to go far and beyond. She always checked up on me and made sure I was doing okay and I appreciated that. During labor I could not have asked for a better Doula. Ailish was so focused and her gentle voice was just what I needed. She  made sure all my needs were met and she gave me the encouragement and support I needed at my most vulnerable moment. Ailish is an amazing doula and person. I’m recommending her to any one of my friends or family who plan to have a baby. She’s the best!

What would I have done without Ailish?

I still would have birthed our beautiful daughter but the list of things I would have missed out on is immense!

I wouldn’t have been as informed of my rights and options.

I wouldn’t have been wrapped in the same love and support throughout prenatals, labor, birth, and postpartum. I felt strong and powerful even through many of the unfortunate parts of pregnancy.

My partner wouldn’t have felt as comfortable and prepared to support me and celebrate the process.

We would’ve missed her expertise at navigating the personnel, the environment, and the terminology once we got to the hospital.

Ailish provided me with tips and tricks specific to moving baby down and into a good position based on our situation at the moment throughout my labor. These techniques were familiar as we had practice with them at each prenatal visit which was invaluable.

She stayed close and was so attentive to my emotional needs during labor and helped my husband support me in just the right way.

She is a big reason we felt empowered, heard, and educated in bringing our girl earthside.

Ailish was absolutely the best decision we made in regards to having the birth of my dreams!

We can’t wait to book her for baby #2 when the time comes!

When my husband suggested we hire a doula, I was skeptical. But it was the best decision we have ever made! Ailish was absolutely amazing! I could call or text with any questions or concerns at any time and she responded with care and wisdom. She showed us stretches and Spinning Babies techniques to help get our little girl in a better birthing position and to help with the aches and pains of pregnancy. She helped my husband feel like he could be part of the process without pushing past his comfort zone. She guided us through making a birth wish list and even though nothing went as planned she helped us through every medical decision with a calmness that made me feel like everything was going to be ok even though panic was setting in. She gently reminded us that we had options and time to contemplate the choices the doctors were giving us. Ailish brings a sense of serenity and support like no other. She is eager and excited about continuing her education and learning new techniques to help her clients. If life graces us with another little one I hope I get the privilege of working with Ailish again!

Getting pregnant is so exciting and then at least for me it was a tiny bit terrifying. Being the type A that I am the lists began and that's when I ran across the idea of a doula. Enter YourBirthTribe, enter doula speed dating, enter an immediate connection with Ailish.

Ailish is compassionate, patient, understanding, smart, and kind. She has an incredibly unique skill set. She tailored everything to my needs - most of which I did not know I needed myself.

I truly believe that without Ailish I would not have been able to have the natural birth I dreamed of. Ailish knew I was stronger than  I did. Ailish knew to apply counter pressure to my terrible back labor and instinctively what would calm my raw anxious nerves. Ailish knew to snap a few photos of the most precious time in my life because although I did not know, she knew, I would want them later.

My words could never do justice to the service Ailish provided for me and my husband, holding our hands and our hearts while we became parents. When I reminisce about my birth for the rest of my life - my memories will be laced with her love, support & presence, for that I am forever grateful.

Having Ailish as my doula was the best thing that I could have done. She is organized, listened to my needs and wants, tactfully suggested things I may not have thought of and was always available via text or phone. I was really impressed with how much she went out of her way to help. For example I have special diatery needs and she called the hospital and spoke with the head of dietary to be sure I'd have my needs met. She was a constant source of strength and support during my entire labour and even after. She also is very generous. Every visit we had from our prenatal visits to the post partum; she brought me samples of things that would help me in my pregnancy amongst other gifts a new mom could appreciate. Ailish seems to really enjoy what she does as a doula as it shows in all of her interactions.

In this industrial age  when you have no family around to be help and educate you with birth it is very tough on men as much as on women. To be honest as men we don't quite understand the level of emotinal turbulance they go through. But no worries you have great option as Ailish, it like hiring a sister in law .I never heard the term "Doula" until i met Ailish who is a great doula. She will take some stress of your shoulders and help and ease your wife's tension during the journey of you childs birth. Highly recommended.

I am so grateful that I met Ailish and she was a part of my pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period.  I chose Ailish to be my doula because she is so easy to be around and she listened and truly cared about my concerns and fears regarding labor and delivery. In addition she got along great with both my husband and our dog. Ailish was, and still is, there for me to answer any questions related to baby. I ended up being in labor for almost 2 days and Ailish stayed by my side! She made me feel comfortable and reminded me that any bumps in the road were completely normal. Ailish provides a constant sense of relief for my husband and I. She reminded us that we were doing great and that things that seemed scary at the time were normal.  Ailish met many of my family members throughout my labor and no she got along great with everyone.  After I delivered she stayed for a bit to help me breastfeed.  When I came home from the hospital Ailish checked in to see how we were doing. She even came over to help me figure out how to use my breast pump and baby carriers. Ailish is an amazing doula. I highly recommend her. She is such a loving and supportive person. I am so happy that she helped me bring my baby into the world

We LOVED Ailish! It was evident upon meeting that she was an excellent Doula—the perfect match for us! A warm, welcoming energy—Ailish is very easy to be around, thoughtful/mindful. She goes the extra mile!Practically speaking—she was a great teacher/communicator. Ailish shared her depth of knowledge generously! Specifically, my wife and I learned relaxation techniques (which this anxious dad-to-be surely appreciated), birthing techniques with the rebozo, exercise ball, etc. Her demonstrations were seamless; presented in a way that was easy to put into practice. Ailish was also incredibly helpful in assisting us with our birth plan; bringing our wishes for our birth experience into focus. OUR DAUGHTER’S BIRTH (4/10/19): Ailish was very responsive! She arrived within 90 minutes, bringing a variety of comfort items for our stay: aromatherapy oils, LED candles, exercise balls, etc. She even crafted affirmations for the labor room—artistic, thoughtful! Throughout the labor, Ailish provided a perfect blend of support: her words, her hand in labor positioning, and calming presence. Alternatively, she provided moments of privacy when we most needed it. She’s quite intuitive in that way—anticipatory! As a whole, the labor experience was pleasant for ALL—HEALTHY baby, and mom/dad—centered as can be! Ailish was the key ingredient. Simply put, we could not have done this as “in-style”, without her! POST BIRTH: Ailish visited us at home twice within 20 days of our daughter’s birth. She ensured that we were well, and that baby was well. She provided additional insights/advice—reassuring us (2 NEW parents). It was a comfort having her! We’ve also been in contact with Her over the phone/text message on several occasions when needed—what a bonus! Not only has Ailish been a great Doula, but a great friend made that we’d love to stay in touch with!

I am 11 days post delivery of my first child, a daughter. I am also a mental health therapist and work with moms around their mental health during motherhood. This was one reason I wanted to have a doula because I know how important having support can be, especially as a first time mom. What I didn’t realize was how beneficial this service truly would be in so many ways. Ailish was amazing throughout the entire process. Answering questions and talking me through the various thoughts I would have throughout my pregnancy. Having her support and guidance during labor and delivery was also something that made my experience as positive as possible. To also have her support after delivery in the early days of adjusting to motherhood with all the responsibilities and worries was and is priceless.

I cant speak highly enough about the benefits of having a doula and Ailish is an amazing choice! She will provide you with the support and guidance to have the best pregnancy and birth for you!
