Angela is caring and thoughtful. When we first met Angela, she took the time to get to know us and understand us. During the pregnancy, Angela checked in on us regularly to make sure that we were doing ok. She is encouraging and supportive and we are grateful to have her as our doula.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support and guidance provided by Angela throughout our birthing journey. Our birth ended up being longer than expected, lasting a challenging three days due to induction, but Angela was an unwavering source of support every step of the way. Her expertise in explaning medical terminology was invaluable. She took the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of the birthing process, answering our every questions about induction,  helping us understand our options and make informed decisions with confidence. Her ability to bridge the gap between medical jargon and layman's terms was truly remarkable, and it empowered us to advocate for our preferences with clarity and understanding.

Not only did Angela support us, but she also earned the respect and admiration of the nurses and doctors involved in our care. Her professionalism, knowledge, and collaborative approach were evident to everyone present, fostering a positive and cohesive birthing team that worked seamlessly together. Additionally, I am immensely grateful for the beautiful birth video that she created. Capturing the precious moments of our child's arrival in such a thoughtful and artistic manner is a treasure that we will cherish for a lifetime.

In summary, our experience with Angela exceeded all expectations. She is not only an exceptional doula but also a true friend and advocate. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate, knowledgeable, and unwavering support during their birthing journey.

My husband and I feel very grateful to have had Angela as our doula for the birth of our first child. We instantly felt her warmth and calm presence during our first meeting and we knew right away that we wanted her support. As a bonus to her extensive doula knowledge and experience, she also teaches the birth class recommended by our hospital.

Angela was simply amazing and incredibly helpful before, during, and after the birth. She was a great advocate for me during labor and was a strong support for both me and my husband. We definitely felt more at ease with her in the delivery room and subsequently the OR with us. For her pre and postpartum visits, we felt that she really cared about our needs and concerns. In addition to somehow always asking the right questions and bringing up the right topics, she also had all the right resources that she steered us towards regarding our concerns.

We also used her photography service during the birth and the moments she captured are just priceless. She is starting to do videos and the video of the birth she made for us was just really sweet and wonderful. We are so happy with how they turned out and that we have photos of our first birth experience and our child's first moments in the world.

We feel very lucky to have had her support! And I would definitely recommend asking for her photography/video services as well. We can't thank her enough!

We worked with Angela as our birth doula for our second child, and we highly recommend her. From our first intro zoom meeting on, Angela was so easy to communicate with and put us at ease. She does an amazing job of striking a perfect balance between prioritizing and respecting your wishes but also offering her expertise. Even though this was my second baby, I learned so much from Angela and appreciated the resources she provided in prepartum meetings and conversations. She was patient and responsive during some false labor alarms. Angela was such a calming presence during my labor, and I found her suggestions and guidance to be helpful. She was also able to match my husband and my energy levels and moods during the labor experience so well. I also found her TENS unit to be extremely helpful in managing pain from contractions. I was able to give birth without pain medications (my birth goal) while being induced, which I credit in large part to Angela's guidance. We also received such touching photos from the birth, and I'm amazed that Angela was able to take them in a way that wasn't distracting or took her away from her role as doula. We're so grateful for Angela for her huge role in making the birth of our second baby such a positive experience!

Angela worked with our family as a childbirth educator prior to the birth of our daughter and did an incredible job supporting me and my husband through our childbirth education, via text during the birth, and came to our home to take newborn photos. Angela is like a deep well of calm that I was able to tap into throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Angela has a deep knowledge of all things childbirth and offered so many resources through books, videos, articles, and podcasts. Angela was able to provide education around my ideal birth scenario, and then even more guidance and education when things changed. I felt safe and supported through my whole birth process. If you have the opportunity to work with Angela in any capacity (childbirth education, doula, photography) I would highly recommend it!

My husband and I hired Angela had to be our birth doula. We also by accident ended up taking her virtual parenting class. It was a really nice way to get to know her more prior to labor and delivery. Her communication was always prompt. She explained everything very clearly. Her contract was very straightforward. I would definitely work with again.

Beyond that, and Angela was a solid study presence during labor and delivery. She was calm and so supportive of both me as I labored and my husband. I definitely credit her support as a major contributing factor, considering my labor and delivery more or less went as  planned. We couldn't be more grateful.

Angela was kind enough to connect with me after my doula-less birth. I requested a consult and she obliged. Angela was patient and kind. She listened to my lengthy birth story. She helped me formulate questions and identify resources so I can better process my experience and make more focused decisions for my future care (and potential future birth choices). She went above and beyond to make sure I was heard, provided specific and broad resources suited to my post partum needs as well as potential future birth needs (i.e., VBAC and non-hospital births). Angela was not speculative or catastrophizing in regards to any aspect of my story and never pushed a toxic positivity narrative, which is something many other well meaning people had done. I wish I had pursued her services prior to labor as I have no doubt she would be a ferocious guardian of one's birth wishes balanced against true medical issues.

I knew I needed a doula for physical support during labor, but I was still looking late in my pregnancy because I felt overwhelmed by the idea of building another relationship and letting another person into the room at my birth. My hesitancy disappeared the moment I found Angela's profile. She put us at ease from the start of our first zoom meeting, and was a low-key, intuitive, and warm presence through the rest of my pregnancy, labor, and well into postpartum. Working with her felt like having an unusually helpful old friend. Angela made the two (!) nights she spent with us during my extremely long labor seem like no big deal, and she was an expert at working the ferry schedules so she could be with us when we needed her. She is very good at noticing her clients needs and struggles in a way that feels validating and supportive. We hired her for postpartum services partly just so we wouldn't have to say goodbye!

My husband and I loved working with Angela! Her kind, calm demeanor immediately attracted us to her over other doulas we interviewed. We're so glad we went with our instincts, because Angela really has a gift when it comes to providing non-judgemental support in a way that's catered to family's individual needs/preferences. Not only that, Angela is knowledgeable, passionate, and evidence-based when it comes to childbirth and newborn care. We felt more confident going into labor and delivery having her with us. We also took one of her childbirth classes, which was excellent, to help us further prepare. Angela really took a lot of the anxieties out of this exciting yet scary time in our lives. We are so grateful to have crossed paths with Angela, and we can't thank her enough for being a part of our birthing experience!!

Working with Angela really helped my husband and me feel calm and prepared for birth during a super chaotic pregnancy. Her priority was always to learn about us and our preferences, and to determine how best to support us with those. For me it was reassuring to talk through many of the decisions related to pregnancy and birth with her, and she provided a complementary perspective to my discussions with my midwives so I could be confident in my choices. She also gave lots of helpful tips and resources to think about for planning for labor and delivery, as well as how to breastfeed and parent a newborn.

In the days leading up to the birth, Angela was always checking in to see how I was coping with early contractions and other labor signs, as well as giving ideas to move things along naturally. Once active labor finally started, Angela got to us as quickly as she could and because my labor went pretty rapidly, it was SO helpful to have her present to physically support me - I felt like I needed more than my partner and the nurse could provide during every contraction, but it was a lot easier with Angela's help and encouragement, not to mention her experienced hands.

After we were back at home, Angela also checked in with us about how we were doing with the baby and came to visit us twice; it was really nice to have someone looking out for how we were doing as parents, since a lot of family and friends can focus on the baby's health and wellbeing exclusively. I would love to work with Angela again if we have another child.

I had the unique experience of having Angela as a parenting mentor and then as a doula for my second pregnancy. Angela is incredibly kind, compassionate, communicative, and I am so grateful she was part of our pregnancy. While I was hoping to have a VBAC, I ended up needing an emergency c-section as my labor progressed. Angela was there for my husband, was there for me when I came out of anesthesia, and helped me process the experience as a whole. She is reliable, knowledgable, relatable, and an absolute joy to be around. I cannot speak positively enough about Angela.

Angela Hodge surpassed all that we could have hoped for in a doula. She accompanied us with care, kindness, a grounded nature, and extensive knowledge through our pre-birth planning, throughout a long and arduous birth, and into our post-partum days. Her competence and endurance helped us navigate tough decisions during a complicated hospital birth. And her photography recorded many beautiful moments that I now treasure to have on captured on film! We are so grateful for Angela -- I cannot imagine what our birth would have been like without her support.

Angela supported us during the pregnancy and birth of our second child. After a fairly traumatic first birth experience, Angela helped us to feel more prepared and empowered for our second birth experience. Her calm and nurturing spirit was so welcomed during our hospital birth <3

We can not recommend Angela enough! She is so kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. She provided doula services for us, as well as childbirth education and photography, and we were very happy with all of these services. My partner and I are first time parents, and Angela taught us skills that prepared us for the birth experience, as well as provided a calming presence and reassurance during the entire experience. When there were more stressful parts of the birth, she helped to advocate for me, anticipate my needs, and provide support. She was truly an invaluable part of my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience, and we are so thankful for her!

We absolutely loved our experience with Angela! She brought such a calm and serene presence to our birth experience, which was profoundly helpful for both of us. I ended up having really bad back labor and she was able to help me cope with good positions and movement--the L&D nurse credited her for getting the baby into a better position for birth! She was supportive of all of our hopes and requests, and was amazing to work with both pre and postpartum as well. Thank you Angela!

I am so glad we chose Angela to be our doula. She was so helpful and attentive before, during, and after our birth. From the very first time we interviewed her, we knew she would be the perfect match for us. We hired Angela for our second home birth to not only be a doula to me, but to also take our photos and to assist our older son while I was in labor so my partner could give me his full attention. Being a mom herself, she seamlessly fit into this role, multitasking her duties with grace and a sense of calm and ease - a critical trait in the labor space. I hardly noticed when she was photographing me and the photos and moments she was able to capture were incredibly beautiful. She is truly a talented photographer!

During my pregnancy, I worked with a physical therapist to help with the discomfort and pain I was experiencing. Angela was very eager to learn about the ways she could help with that discomfort during my labor, connecting with my physical therapist and soaking up all the tips and techniques that were being passed on to her. She made sure to check in and connect with me as my due date crept closer. I felt very confident that she would be there if and when I needed her, and that was reassuring. She offered the use of a tens unit during my labor, and that helped me immensely through my contractions - I highly recommend trying it!

If you are looking for a sweet, kind, genuine and talented doula, look no further than Angela. I am so grateful that our paths crossed and we hired her as our doula. Not only did we get an amazing doula and photographer, but we gained a wonderful friend, too!

My birthing experience was such a lovely one with Angela by my side. Angela has such a calming presence that it’s hard not to feel calm around her. I knew I wanted a doula for my second birth because during my first, it was difficult for me to advocate for myself during a time when I was in pain and emotions were high. There are so many wonderful things I could say about Angela. She helped me immensely  with my worries both during and after my pregnancy. She took the most beautiful maternity, birth, and postpartum photos. Angela was always someone I could talk to very easily and she helped me think through my decisions and relay them to the hospital staff with ease. I felt very heard and in control the whole time and as a result, my beautiful boy was brought into this world in the most precious and perfect way.

Simply put, Angela Hodge made a significant positive impact on my birth experience and I will hire Angela again without hesitation.

She was highly attentive and responsive to my needs before, during, and after the birth of my baby boy. While I was in labor, Angela was able to anticipate my needs and help (e.g., encouraging words, massages during contractions, keeping me hydrated). She is highly knowledgeable about the different science-based interventions available and helped my husband and me make informed decisions every step along the way. She made sure that both my husband and I were well taken care of so that I could focus on a safe and healthy birth.

Angela has such a gift with mothers and babies- her presence was so reassuring and calming for me when the birth of my last baby didn’t go as I had dreamed. Angela was there for me every step of the way, holding my hand and talking me through the whirlwind of emotions that I had to process so quickly. She is patient, kind and nurturing, and I so looked forward to her visits after baby was born. The guidance she gave my husband before and during birth was priceless, and when he had to step away to eat or rest, Angela took his place seamlessly. She gave me courage to keep going when I felt weak and empowered my instinctual decisions. I will be grateful to have had her as my doula for the rest of my life and hope she will be available if we have another baby!!

Angela was such an amazing support during the birth of my son. She took a lot of time to get to know me and my husband before our due date so that she knew how to best support us when the day acctually arrived. I ended up being induced and Angela came to the hospital with us and was there as a support for both my husband and I as we went through the induction process. She did a great job of being mindful to be supportive yet also allow us our own space and time together. She was also a great sounding board for us as we talked through our options of moving forward through the induction/birth process (pitocin, epidural, breaking water, etc). After lots of unplanned medical interventions and 3 hours of pushing I ended up needing to have a C-Section. Angela was a calming presence through all of it. While my husband held my hand she was there to hold his hand and provide him with some encouragement and strength so that he in turn could support me. She even took pictures which are the only pictures we have from our son's birth. After we were discharged from the hospital Angela came and checked in with us a few times and we were able to talk through and process how the birth went. All in all, I'm so grateful for Angela and the support she provided us throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My son just turned 6 months and we still stay in touch with her. We definitely plan to have her as our doula for any other kids we have in the future!

We highly recommend Angela. She is calm, professional, kind, and knowledgeable. She was always prompt, thoughtful and prepared for our appointments. She helped us think through our hopes for our labor and how she could support us. Throughout my labor, she was flexible, present, and helpful. I appreciated her calming words and tone throughout contractions, and she was quick to respond to any of my requests. She helped us have the birth experience we were looking for.

We picked Angela to be our doula with our first baby and we could not be happier with our choice. She is a dedicated professional and mother of three wonderful kids. We chose to have our baby at the hospital, so having her there to comfort and support me and my husband was a life saver. She scheduled a couple of sessions before and after birth as well, to make sure all our questions are answered and we feel confident in our new roles as parents. I warmly recommend her to anybody who needs extra support before, during and after labor.

Angela is amazing!  I was nervous to give birth, but she made me feel capable and confident.  She provided a wealth of information that helped me understand what to expect, think through my preferences and limits, and process my fears. Her calm and caring demeanor allowed me to relax and focus on my body and my baby. And when my birth didn’t go at all as planned, I felt prepared for this possibility and thankful to have her there for advice and to support my decisions.  After the birth, she continually checked in on us, and though I didn’t know what help to ask for, just knowing she cared and wanted to make sure we’re doing well meant so much!

My husband and I had the honor of having Angela attend the birth of our second son. Although she was still training her calm energy, paired with her own experience with birth and as a mama was such a wonderful addition to our experience. Angela truly offered support and shared something so profound, yet unbiased when I needed it. It was her words that brought me peace and allowed me to make the right choice for my sweet babe and I. She is calm and has a quiet strength, something I really believe all mamas need during such an extraordinary and vulnerable time. We adore her!!

I had the honor and privileged to work with Angela as a co-doula this week. We are both newish to this work and have attended the same amount of births but I learned SO much from her. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a calm, peaceful, comforting, presence. She was right there, supporting the birthing mama, every minute, until the end and she was very supportive and reassuring as well to me as well.

I would recommend her to any family that was in need of doula support or to any doula who is need of assistance. She is one strong, confident mama. I feel grateful to have met Angela and even more grateful to be able to witness her work. I wish I would have had her at my births.
