We had the pleasure of working with Sarah as our postpartum doula. She was very nurturing and supportive no matter the situation. She brought her knowledge and expertise in breastfeeding, baby care, baby development, etc. In addition, she shared great recommendations and tips/tricks. She is very intuitive and will jump into action without being asked, proactively identifying what is needed. She was crucial in helping me work through various breastfeeding challenges and provided a well-informed perspective on what is normal vs. when we should seek the help of specialists. In addition, she was very willing to answer questions and checked in even when she wasn't working. Overall, Sarah's support was invaluable to us as we began our journey as a family of three!

As first time parents with a newborn that fought sleep, Sarah was critical to giving us the tools we needed to get our son down for naps and bedtime. She also helped us with lactation and feeding challenges and me with postpartum support for anxiety. I highly recommend Sarah to all families during the challenging coming home with baby phase.

Sarah is outstanding. She is calm, graceful, helpful, smart and lovely.

From the moment she stepped foot in my house to help take care of my days old son (and me!), she instantly provided much-needed help and relief. She springs into action and doesn't miss a beat. We had the pleasure of having her for daytime and nighttime help, and she goes above and beyond - allowing us to sleep, helping with the laundry, giving us pointers and all while taking excellent care of our child. She takes the time to help teach you (for us it was breastfeeding and sleep support and navigating familial relationships), she will research anything that might need additional information and share excellent tips and tricks and products and referrals, she has the most elegant baby bounce that puts baby instantly at ease, she will work with you to tailor her to support to your specific and ever-changing needs, and she will never judge you (which was so appreciated by me as a first time parent).

I will warn you, though, once she comes into your and your baby's lives, you will not want her to leave...ever!

If you are considering getting help, don't even think twice...do it! If you are considering Sarah...don't think once, just DO IT! She is the absolute best. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with her. On top of being a baby whisperer, a breastfeeding wiz, an all-around godsend, she is just a delight of a human. Any family is lucky and better off for having Sarah come into their lives.

How blessed we are to have Sarah Orza as our postpartum doula!  The "we" in this case is our whole family, including all grandparents. My daughter very generously includes and accepts me in her life as a total "helicopter" mom, so I was pleased that she asked me to assist her in finding a postpartum doula.

I was immediately attracted to and impressed with Sarah: her Tapestry Doula website reflects her philosophy beautifully, and her glowing reviews describe her practice perfectly. Sarah's communications are always timely and responsive to any/all questions, and with a most welcome warmth. Sarah was very gracious about this unusual way to begin the process. When she met my daughter, her husband and the new baby, Sarah instantly established a vital connection with them – and a thoughtful relationship with all us grandparents.

Sarah is truly a “baby whisperer” – it is amazing to see how naturally and sweetly she calms the baby. She offers wonderful support to the new parents on every level – from expert training on physical care (swaddling, feeding, bathing, etc.), to practical advice on specific baby products, to non-judgmental guidance on parenting techniques, to caring concern for everyone’s well-being. (And, her availability for overnight stays gives the exhausted parents time and permission to catch up on much-needed sleep!) We all learned so much from Sarah! She is so lovely and a joy to work with.

We can never thank Sarah enough - her outstanding professional talents and exceptional personal qualities have made all the difference! And, I must add (as a star-struck fan of ballet}, what a thrill it has been to get to know a prima ballerina, now doularina!  Brava!

Our baby was born 3 months early, and when we brought him home from the NICU around his due date, he was still on oxygen. Bringing a baby home is a stressful experience for any new parent; even more so when your baby already has a deep medical history. Sarah has a calm and reassuring presence, and our baby loved her, which made me feel very comfortable leaving him with her as I took a break. She was great at giving us tips and tricks on things as they arose - we still use her towel in the baby bath tip :)! She was very caring and would always check in with us to see how things were going - even after she stopped working with our family. I would certainly recommend Sarah to a new mom!

One of the best decisions we made about our birth and postpartum care was choosing to work with Sarah during the month after the birth of our son. She was deeply nurturing, patient and supportive in helping us learn how to take care of a newborn and navigate breastfeeding challenges and postpartum anxiety. Sarah is incredibly intuitive and always seemed to know what we needed before we did. Whether it was taking care of household tasks, encouraging me to take a much needed nap or recommending specialists for our baby. Sarah's support was truly invaluable, and we are so grateful that she was with us during this pivotal time as a new family!

Sarah was recommeded to us by a local moms Facebook Group.

I am a first time mom.  With COVID and family far away, we thought we could use some help and guidance during our first few weeks as a family of three.  We did not know too much about postpartum doulas at the time, but we figured any extra hands would be good.  We were so glad to have Sarah once we brought the baby home.

You get nearly no sleep with a newborn, and issues may come up that you didn't even know would be issues (all common and nothing serious, yet we had never heard of).  Sarah would help us calm the baby, take lead on neglected chores around the house, and generally provide moral support and perspective.  She was easy to communicate with, and did not impose her viewpoints.  She would give advice when I specifically sought them, and make helpful suggestions that we could take or leave.  We were better able to settle into a routine, and get some badly needed naps.

Sarah was a huge lifeline for us after we brought home our first baby. She is a newborn expert and took amazing care of our baby girl...she always knew just what she needed and kept her happy so we could sleep. Sarah also provided a lot of breastfeeding consultation during those early days/weeks and helped us to get breastfeeding well established. Breastfeeding has been a huge success for me and my babygirl and I largely credit Sarah for that!

In addition to providing top notch baby care, Sarah went above and beyond to support my husband and I through this time.

- She consistently checked in with us on her off days to see how we were doing.

- She helped shepherd me through many logistics while I was recovering  and in a mental fog.

- She helped simplify our routines caring for the baby which made our lives much easier.

- She taught us various soothing techniques which have saved us on many occasions.

- She showed us how use some of the swaddles, wraps and other baby gear we had purchased.

- She listened with empathy and understanding as we vented our challenges in those early days/weeks.

- She connected us with other certified doulas when we needed additional support and she was unavailable.

- She’s extremely professional, punctual, and was always diligent with taking Covid-19 precautions to keep our household safe.

We can’t thank Sarah enough for all of the support she has provided our family as we transition into parenthood. We highly recommend Sarah for all of your postpartum needs. She is absolutely phenomenal and you’ll never want her to leave!

We had a fabulous time with Sarah. Her gentle demeanor was always comforting when the boys had been driving us crazy all day. She did a great job with our twins, showing us some amazingly intricate and snug wraps. Feedings went well and we always got an after action report in the morning. Thank you Sarah!

Sarah is amazing. She was our postpartum night doula the first few weeks home with a newborn delivered via c-section. I didn't know what help I needed or could ask for. Sarah guided us through the process.

I felt very comfortable with her in our home and caring for our 2 days old baby while I slept. She brought baby to me for nighttime breast feeding and handled the rest of the baby care. She was a baby whisperer for a fussy baby. She also supported me with water, snacks and fresh burp clothes as needed. She was a great listener and asked about our preferences regarding baby care. She also provided some lactation support.

I have no doubt that my speedy recovery was due to postpartum doula support. Having extra sleep at night allowed me to enjoy the day times with my baby.

Thank you Sarah!

Working with Sarah was such a joy. Her presence is so calming and non-judgmental. As a first time mom, I had no idea what I was doing and Sarah put me at ease right from the start. She gave me tips on breastfeeding, how to get my baby to sleep and spit up and I was able to count on her for reassurance and guidance. As a single mom, I was doing nights and a lot of days too by myself and she gave me the break and sleep that I so desperately needed. She was phenomenal with my daughter as well, soothing her and getting her to sleep. Her services are most definitely worth it and I would welcome her back into my home anytime.

Sarah swept into our home with profesionalism and grace. She easily took charge of my three kids and by the end of her first day I trusted her enough to just go take a nap! She was very helpful to us. My children loved her and took to her almost right away. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who was looking for a post-partem doula.

Sarah was our doula for our baby girl. She has a calm, maternal nature that was comforting for both myself and my baby. It was my experience that she was able to come in my home and assess how she was needed. She also has a wealth of knowledge about breastfeeding, which is extremely helpful and reassuring during the early months. Any family would be very fortunate to receive Sarah’s care and guidance as a doula!
