Emily was incredibly supportive and encouraging before, during and after the birth of our first son! She provided us with a substantial amount of evidence based information that helped us feel well informed and confident about the entire process. Despite having an unplanned induction, Emily truly helped me feel empowered, strong and capable during labor and delivery, always had our back when making tough decisions and provided a much needed calming presence. From the moment we met her through postpartum, we always felt safe and heard by her when it came to our birth preferences, our actual birth story and those first days with our newborn son. Regarding my husband, Emily provided valuable support to him as well, which allowed him to find many ways to support me during our journey. Emily has such a kind heart and was truly a blessing during such an intimate and vulnerable time! We would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking doula support! - Maggie & Aaron

Emily was exactly what we needed for the birth of our first child. From the get-go, she had a binder of information for us and was a wealth of knowledge prior to giving birth. I loved how prepared she was, how she desired to get to know us, and how she answered all of our questions to the best of her ability. This showed us that Emily is intentional. Educating is something that means a lot to her and she wants to assist as best she can. Emily helped both my husband and me feel empowered and ready for the birth ahead of us. It felt good to know that she was going to be there helping us advocate for ourselves and also being a voice of encouragement. This showed us that Emily is passionate. She cares about what she does and she wanted me to have my ideal birth. When it was time, Emily was a calming presence in the room and a strong champion for me as I "danced baby girl down" and gave birth to our sweet little love. I absolutely had my ideal birth, and Emily was a huge help in achieving that! I have never felt stronger or more filled with peace as I did on that day. We were blessed to have Emily by our side during such sacred moments.

Emily was just pure amazing. She stepped into our pregnancy journey at 34weeks when we moved and had a change of heart with our providers. Basically just pure chaos and she made it all easier. We delivered at 36 weeks via C-section because of pre-eclampsia and Cholestasis, and those 2 weeks involved daily involvement with Emily and she had our backs every second of every day. Having someone like Emily by your side for 9mo or 2weeks is truly a gift. She supported our wishes no matter what and helped with a formal list for our providers of what we wanted, a huge weight off our shoulders. We are very lucky to have Emily in our lives. <3

Our experience with the birth of our 2nd born was beyond a dream... something holy. Emily was the calm voice that I needed, so that I could get out of my head and into my heart during labor. She provided a safe space to ask questions all throughout my pregnancy and when it was go time, the relationship building throughout the months had laid the foundation to prepare a way for our daughter. I am so thankful for her and recommend that if you are on the fence of hiring a doula, have a conversation with Emily! Thank you Emily for being sweet, loving and helpful during labor and birth.

We were so fortunate to have Emily as our birth doula at the Minnesota Birth Center. She was absolutely wonderful. Her calm and reassuring presence during our unmedicated birth made the experience so much more empowering. Emily provided us with materials and resources in preparation for labor and gifted us with verse cards to recite during the end of pregnancy. She was very knowledgable about laboring positions and she advocated on our behalf to best fit our birth plan and keep us comfortable. Emily became like family to us and we are so grateful that God led us to her. We highly recommend Emily for labor and birth support. She is a thoughtful, wise, attentive, kind and passionate birth doula! :)

Emily provided my family with knowledge of the birth process and comfort measures that led me through a peaceful, unmedicated birth. In the days leading up to our daughter's birth, Emily was in constant contact with natural labor induction strategies and exercises. When I had questions about standard hospital procedures, breastfeeding and even baby-wearing, Emily gave us evidence-based resources to help my husband and I make those decisions. We had great peace of mind going into the birth knowing that Emily would be there to offer different labor positions, exerices and comfort measures.

During labor, Emily made our hospital room feel like home, dimming the lights, setting up candles, and getting the yoga and peanut ball. Her presence was so calming and reassuring that my husband was able to take a nap while I was laboring with Emily's help! She provided exactly what we needed to welcome our first baby into the world.

We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Emily. Emily has a warm personality and genuinely cares. Emily really helped us confidently prepare for labor by teaching us different techniques and positions to manage the pain and provided a lot of resources for us, including Scriptures verses to meditate on. She genuinely spent time getting to know us and listening to what was important for us. Emily responded promptly to our texts when my contractions started and sent us hypnobirthing affirmations to listen to to help me manage through the pain, which helped tremendously. We loved that Emily prayed for us during our labor and delivery. Emily was so encouraging and supportive throughout our prenatal, labor, and postpartum experience. We are thankful to have had Emily as part of our birth team!
