As a postpartum doula I refer all my clients to Nova for her placenta encapsulation services. Nova is extraordinarily dedicated to her clients and passionate about her work and its many benefits. Pick up of placenta and delivery of capsules is always timely. Nova is professional and always available to answer any questions. I highly recommend her!
Nova was my birth doula for my daughter, Felicite, born November 2004. I really do not think I could have made it through the long day of labor without her help and guidance. Nova was exactly what I needed in a doula. She was there for me every step of the way (she never left my side) and gave me incredible support. She helped me physically, emotionally and psychologically.
My husband was deployed when I was 6 months pregnant, and I was blessed to have the opportunity to have a doula. She helped me capture special moments, so that I could share them with my husband why he was away.
The first day I had meet Nova, we went over my birth plan, I was insistent on having a drug free child birth. She was very supportive of my decision and asked me many questions, and also made me know, that if in any case I did choose to have an epidural, it didn’t mean I had failed. She was so cute. She made me this perfect sign to hang outside my door that said “Drug Free Labor in Progress.”’ And I did it. 17 hours later. Nova was there not only during my Birth, but the days before and there after. Every day she came to check on me, take pictures for me, and just be a gentle person I needed at this time. She also helped me with another huge task, and this was to get my husband a picture ASAP of his newborn baby girl; and if all she had done wasn’t enough, she continued to help me in so many ways. She went to breast feeding support groups, doctor’s check-ups, lunch; she would even bring me dinner. I would have to say that Nova went above and beyond what I had ever expected from a doula.
Thank you Nova, for offering me more than I could have ever asked for. My memories and thankfullness will be forever lived in my heart.
As a postpartum doula, Nova was a lifesaver in those first few weeks after my son was born. It was great to be able to have some sleep knowing that he was well taken care of. Nova is expert at tending to baby's needs before they start to cry, I never heard a peep from him while she was there. She also offered great support and advice for me as a new mom. I would not hesitate to recommend Nova to any family.
My wife and I had an amazing experience with Nova for the pregnancy and birthing process of our first child Isis in 2007. Nova provided us with options and information that we found exceptionally useful as first time parents. Her calm demeanor and professional knowledge allowed us to have a confident experience in the hospital and during the early stages of the birth at our home. My wife's labor process was 18 hours long and it started at 6pm! After a day of working I personally was exhausted, and having Nova there with us the whole time was extremely helpful and reassuring. We also utilized her skills as a photographer and have countless photos of precious memories. One great thing to note was her support of our birth plan, she supported our wishes wholeheartedly and helped us to enforce them in the hospital by speaking to the nurses and doctors and translating their lingo for us :-). We were able to count on her in every situation during the pregnancy and birth. She helped make our experience everything we dreamed it to be and her support for our family is still strong as if she's a part of our family now.
Hi - Nova worked with our family for several months and we had a great experience. We highly recommend her. To prevent another episode of postpartum depression, my doctors ordered that I not get up at night with our second son. Nova would come at 10pm and leave at 6:30am. Nova was always on time, if not early, and ready to help us in anyway that she could. Even when we could not think of something for her to do (in addition to getting the baby in the middle of the night), she would do helpful things like wipe down our counters, organize all of our bottle parts, make bottles for the next day, fold our laundry, make us coffee for the morning....she was awesome. We never heard the baby cry and he loved her. I would feel totally at ease recommending her to anybody.
