Choosing Jamie as our doula was the best choice we made before having our baby! She was so knowledgeable and made me feel confident before and during birth, especially when birth didn't go as planned. Then, postpartum, because we lived in Westchester, she offered us 4 virtual visits that meant we had support through 12 weeks postpartum, which was amazing! Jamie is the best!!

Jamie is the best. Period. I feel so grateful to have found her, and I truly believe my birth would have been entirely different had she not been there. From the first time we met, she was warm and easy to talk to, and full of helpful information. She seemed smart and competent, and I hired her right away. When my water broke (ten days before my due date!), she was immediately available and rushed to the hospital. I can't overstate how helpful it was to have an experienced support person by my side during labor. She kept us calm during scary moments, and I felt safe with her around. During every contraction, she applied pressure to my back to relieve the pain and showed my husband how to help, too. She was there when he needed to take a break, and vice versa. When it was time to push, she held my leg. Months before, she'd been a stranger, and now here she was sharing in one of the greatest moments of my life. But with her, this felt completely natural.

Jamie was also hugely helpful in the postpartum period. She helped me with breastfeeding and even showed us how to properly tie our baby wrap carrier, among other things. I'm so confident in her services as both a birth and a postpartum doula. I'd sing her praises to anyone in search of a support person.

We absolutely loved Jamie! As first-time parents who wanted a low-intervention birth, her experience and expertise helped us every step of the way. We were in constant communication with her while laboring at home, and she came over immediately when we needed her to tell us it was time to go to the hospital. She was an amazing coach, suggesting the right postures and motions to get us through labor without an epidural, cheerleading through pushing, and even helping get the baby to latch right away for her first feeding. Because she’s a mom herself and knows what labor and delivery feel like, I really trusted her advice about what to visualize and where to focus my breath and energy. She even took the most incredible pictures of us in the delivery room after our daughter was born, and helped us recap the experience at our postpartum visit to fill in any fuzzy details and celebrate what we were able to do together. She was a true partner in delivering our daughter and her sure hand made what could have been a scary and bewildering experience something we’ll cherish forever.

As a first time mom, I was nervous of the whole birth experience and what to expect. My husband was skeptical of a doula, but after our first meeting with Jamie, he too knew she was exactly what we needed for our transition into parenthood. We found Jamie one month prior to giving birth. With little time to prepare for our baby’s arrival, Jamie was responsive and organized fitting in our prenatal sessions. We felt supported both leading up to our birth and afterwards. Jamie helped us with everything you can imagine-- from recommendations on many baby “must haves”, to navigating boundary setting with visitors and family members. Jamie also assisted me with breastfeeding, which proved to be the most difficult for me. With Jamie’s support and encouragement, I was able to get my baby to latch without the use of a shield, and successfully feed in public. Jamie never failed to make us feel comfortable and confident. We always looked forward to our meetings together, and felt like better parents after our visits. Jamie is non-judgmental, calm, and knowledgeable, and we highly recommend her for any family!

We are so happy that we hired Jamie to be our doula! We knew when we first met Jamie that she would be a great support for my husband and me. Prior to the birth, Jamie helped prep us for birth and was always available for any questions that I had via text, email and phone. She always responded very promptly and thoughtfully, which I greatly appreciated. When I felt contractions in the middle of the night, I texted Jamie and she called me to check in and texted me throughout the night. She joined us at the hospital and I could not imagine giving birth without Jamie present. She made me feel comforted and calm during contractions and during the hours of labor. She was also encouraging and supportive during the whole process. I also appreciated her interactions with my husband in providing support to him too. Jamie also helped to check my baby's latch immediately after she was born. Jamie also checked in with us the day after the birth and then provided post partum appointments. In the post partum appointments, she helped me to feel more confident as I became a new parent and boy, did I have a lot of questions! Jamie was very patient and answered all of my qs. I always looked forward to seeing Jamie and knew she would be so helpful and knowledgeable.

Jamie was a life saver! We are first time parents and just moved to the city in my 3rd trimester, with no real support system, Jamie was absolutely essential for our family. She was our postpartum doula for a month as she was pregnant herself.

Jamie is very organized and professional, right from the first meeting, she came with a list of all her services and notes on how to prepare for the birth, breast feeding, etc. She walked us through what to expect in the hospital, induction process and labour. We asked her to meet us the day after we got back from the hospital, she was always flexible with her schedule.

Jamie is very easy to talk to about any topic. My body was going through so much change, she helped me understand and adapt to it. She was very good with the baby. Extremely knowledgeable and readily shares all necessary information. She had tips and advice for all our woes. With her guidance, by the end of the 1st month, we were better parents who felt a little more comfortable with this new life changing event!

I highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a postpartum doula.
