Monica was our doula in March of 2018 for our first baby. We were introduced to her through another doula. She was supposed to be our back up doula as our original doula was 36 weeks pregnant, but through a series of circumstances, she became our doula and we are so grateful it worked out that way. Monica is very good at listening and asking about your goals and hopes for the birth and is very respectful about her role during the birth. Monica was also very comforting and patient during my labor and helped advocate for us when we needed it. Monica was present, helpful, and wonderful at giving suggestions for comfort measures and self-care for both my husband and I. I knew I wanted a doula, but I hadn't known what to expect and I was worried that I would feel vulnerable or uncomfortable with a doula around during such an intense time, but Monica was respectful of my space, asked questions to make sure I was comfortable and getting what I needed, and her presence was calming for both my husband and I. We are so grateful for her and can't wait to have her at the birth of our next baby.

My husband and I had such a great experience working with Monica through our natural childbirth! We would recommend her to anyone. She had such a calming presence and was so supportive through my lengthy labour. She was reassuring and helpful to both my husband and I through over twelve hours of labour. She offered much needed reminders of my breathing exercises and relaxing techniques. Monica was knowledgeable in suggesting new positions for labouring and gave me consistent reminders to eat my snacks to keep my energy levels up. She was also helpful in providing massage and pressure when needed, as I had a tremendous amount of pain due to back labour. Monica's easygoing energy helped me feel more at ease during labour, birth, and in my first moments as a new mom. She was very open and supportive to our birth plan and did a wonderful job helping us stick to the plan. She also did a great job suggesting helpful tips along the way when things started to weigh on us. She was a trusted and reliable source for any questions before, during and after the birth of our daughter. Anyone would be lucky to have Monica as their doula!
