My husband and I hired Maggie for our third pregnancy/birth. It was our second time hiring a doula and we are so happy with our experience!

Maggie was always available by text or phone to answer questions and concerns or to just encourage me when my pregnancy dragged on much longer than I had anticipated. Some days I just needed her assurance that I wouldn't be pregnant forever!

The big day came at last and Maggie was so wonderful! She seemed to know when I just needed her to sit quietly near by and when I needed her to make a suggestion about labor positions or comfort measures. She made me feel strong and capable. It was wonderful for me to have someone so knowledgeable to focus on helping me, especially since the hospital staff were so busy that night. If I needed something I could just ask Maggie and she would communicate it to whoever needed to know. My husband loved having Maggie there so he could focus on just being present for me.

We had a beautiful birth and Maggie was an integral part of that experience. She was available before, during and even in these months following the birth. We highly recommend Maggie and will definitely be hiring her for any future pregnancies. I hired a doula and found a friend. Thanks Maggie!

Maggie was such a delight! Both as a doula and as a person in general. I met her at an All About Doulas event and was instantly won over by how sweet and patient she was with my rambunctious 18 month old daughter. Anyone who allows my child to treat them like a jungle gym throughout a presentation has my vote! During our meetings, Maggie was not only very informative, but also friendly and open. As I experienced a day of false labor, Maggie was in contact with me throughout the day offering encouragement and advice. She never once made me feel bad that I had rallied the troups prematurally. The next day, true labor set in and Maggie was by my side as soon as I beckoned. She was even so sweet as to offer to drive me to a last minute chiropractor appointment! However, my midwife cautioned I might give birth in the car if I were to venture out! Maggie was such a sense of calm and positivity as we hurridly prepared my home for the rapidly approaching birth. My dear mother had become a little agitated and Maggie was so peaceful that it helped my mother calm down. As my husband is not a great lover of all things birth, I cannot describe to you how grateful I was to have Maggie there for me. She massaged my back, provided counter pressure, and allowed me to squeeze the living daylights out of her hands as she verbally coached me through my breathing. She lovingling held my daughter so she could watch as I labored in the birthing pool. She even tossed the ball for our overly fetch happy border collie. Maggie was not only there to help me through the birth, but she was there for my entire family. I heavily advocate the necessity of having an amazing doula like Maggie at one's birth. You will not regret it.

I had such a wonderful experience with Maggie. She was so helpful in preparing my birth plan and getting my preferences and concerns across to my doctor. I felt so prepared and calm when I went into labor. During labor and delivery she was a rockstar! I didn't have to think about anything. She kept me moving, drinking, breathing. When things didn't go quite according to my plan, it was nice just to be able to talk to her about my frustrations which helped me accept the new plan. She not only was a huge support for me, she took all the stress off my husband. This was a much more relaxed birth for him than our first child. Also, Maggie was great with my 4 year-old who was there during early labor. He adored her! It was also great to have get check out baby's first latch she assure me she was doing great. She also took some sweet pictures of the whole experience and even packed up our whole room to move us from birthing to post-partum. She does it all ?? I can't recommend her enough!!

Maggie was such a godsend to my birthing team! I had known her before she became a doula and was excited when I was able to have her be there. I don't think I could have gotten through it medication free without her, though she says I could have! ??
She did a ton of counter pressure, and coached my breathing when it got super tough towards the end. My labor was over 20 hours, I spent part of it at home and called her around 5am when I felt it was progressing more and needed some assistance and support.
She was a great advocate for what was in my birth plan that I wanted, and did not want. She is a wonderful lady and truly cares about empowering women on the journey to motherhood!!

I cannot say enough good things about Maggie. We decided last minute that we wanted a doula and we had trouble finding someone. Thankfully we found Maggie. She stepped up just weeks before having our son and I have to say I dont know if I could have done it without her. She met with us twice before labor and made us feel so comfortable. The day of delivery, Maggie met us at the hospital in the early morning. She talked me through many painful contractions, held my hand when I decided I'd had enough and needed pain management, encouraged me to stick with my original birth plan which ended up being rewarding for all when we voted down having my water broken, she was fantastic at massage and she took on the role my partner didn't really want to from my waist down giving him the chance to be up by me encouraging and supporting me face to face. Maggie also helped us with birthing positions, breathing and she took pictures for us as our son was born. After delivery she was still right there for hours helping as we did skin to skin and she stayed with us until we were all safely in our recovery room. When we came home from the hospital she followed up with us and checks in with us often to make sure everything is going good. I thought having a doula would be just for delivery but it's not. It is such a rewarding experience and amazing support that starts during pregnancy and continues after birth. For anyone on the fence about having a doula I encourage you to go for it. As a first time mom, I was so afraid of the labor and delivery part of pregnancy but she was right there, every step answering questions and getting to the root of my fears. I am SO glad that we hired her and I hope that she is there for any future pregnancies we have.

Maggie was very kind, knowledgable, supportive, and made herself available to us for questions.  Even when we found out our little one was breech, Maggie was helpful in giving us suggestions of way to try and get him to flip.  Maggie was wonderful to ask questions as I could always count on her finding a truthful answer.  I would hands down choose Maggie again in the future!
