I am most experienced supporting hospital birth and I am most passionate about supporting physiological/unmedicated vaginal birth. I support all kinds of birthing people and experiences, whatever their decisions, working with their providers to keep them informed and supported along the way, with birth preference planning that honors your values and needs.

Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
I love supporting out-of-hospital birth at birth centers with midwives. I help birth center clients to work with their providers to make a realistic birth preferences plan that honors your values and needs.

Attends home births? Any Home Birth
I love supporting home births, with few exceptional circumstances for which I would do my best to refer you to someone more appropriate. I help homebirth clients work closely with their team to make a realistic birth preference plan that celebrates your values and needs.

STARTING GRADUATE SCHOOL 9/01/25 in SWEDEN - LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Thank you for your understanding. In addition to direct birth services, I served hundreds of families online from 2020-2022 providing doula support and perinatal education in group and individual telehealth settings. I have also served many local families and collaborated with providers in my area through work with local non-profits, community organizations, etc. I have served on the board of Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery, and since 2009 have been an advocate for equity, sustainability and holistic family supports through the reproductive process. I am a lifelong advocate for initiatives and policies that support family wellbeing, parenting supports, and patient/consumer rights. Addressing systemic challenges, from racism in health care to the failures of for-profit medicine, is central to the education I provide. My approach is relatable, interactive, evidence-based and personalized to each family. In training and in my values, I am trauma-informed and center the power of physiology, relational health, informed decision-making and social determinants of health such as nutrition, environment, finance and stress.

Fee Details

All of my clients deserve the best support I can provide, which is 3-4x the industry standard. I space my clients generously to allow for my full attention with each birthing family. My fee is all inclusive of 5 - 7+ prenatal visits, comprehensive birth edu and on-call labor and birth support as well as postpartum follow-ups through the first months with your newborn. My birth doula contract is a flat rate. I also provide select a la carte education offerings and online support and can be flexible in these arrangements.
