I could not have asked for a better doula!
We took childbirth classes with her early on and she gave us nutrition, exercise, labor, and newborn information.
she checked in on us and was always available if we had any questions or concerns (which my husband had a lot of!).
When I went into labor she was available by  phone helping my husband to support me until it was time for her to come. When she did come she helped me get into different positions to help move labor along.
did I mention she was 8.5 months pregnant! She didn't let that get in the way of the phenomenal support she gave me. I will definitely use her again for my next baby. I hope she had an awesome doula for her birth because she deserved it!

Right from our initial interview, Anisah stood out with a calm confidence that made us very comfortable & with tremendous amount of knowledge in this field.  Even before the birth of our first child, Anisah was checking up on us all throughout.  This was very fortunate for us, as she actually identified a potentially serious condition – cholestasis, before our doctors even had a chance to.  I had been having an itchy rash all over my body for a few weeks between OB appts.  Many people I asked and online articles I read simply said sometimes you will get randomly itchy during pregnancy.  But when I sent pictures of the rash and a description of how intense it was to Anisah, she recommended I make an early OB appt and get tested for cholestasis.  It turns out this is what I had and I got on medication for the itching and we had to make major adjustments to the rest of the pregnancy plans.  Thankfully, all went well and our baby was born perfectly healthy(just a little early) and is doing great! Besides the care and attention before the birth, Anisah was invaluable during the actual labor and delivery!  We had to be induced early so we were in the hospital for nearly two days before real labor began.  Anisah came in the first day, well before labor began, even though she didn't have to, to make sure we were comfortable and okay.  During labor Anisah provided so much comfort & assistance from massaging my back and feet, holding me secure in the shower to catching me as I slept between intense contractions in the very thick of labor.  Anisah thinks of all the little things first time parents likely won’t – even ones who have read multiple baby books (as my husband and I had). She truly made the whole experience much easier & smoother for my husband and I. We will be praying she is available for our next child.

My husband and I hired Anisah for the birth of our daughter. As first time parents, we wanted someone to help us through the process. Anisah was professional, friendly, and provided us with so much helpful information. Her services were invaluable.

During our prenatal visits, Anisah helped us map out our birth plan and gave us information on everything from birthing positions to relaxation techniques. She also took the time to understand what our expectations were for the birth.

On the day that I gave birth, Anisah met us at the hospital and she was nice enough to stop and buy some hard candy that my husband forgot to bring. Without her support, my birthing process would have not have gone so smoothly. She provided me with soothing massages, made sure I was as comfortable as possible, adjusted my pillows, and suggested different positions to ease the pain of the contractions. She also made she we knew the pros and cons or the risks involved with any procedures that the hospital was going to perform.  And lastly, she took pictures of my daughter being born that I will always cherish.

Our daughter had difficulty latching during breast feeding and Anisah took the time to find lactation specialist that could assist. She kept checking in on us through the whole process to make sure the issue was resolved. Working with Anisah was the best decision and hopefully we will be using her services for future pregnancies.

Anisah is a gem! I am so thankful to have had her as my doula during the prenatal period and by my side during the labor and delivery of my baby. I came to her at a vulnerable time in my life and she uplifted me and helped me get rid of my anxiety about my anticipated birth experience. She helped me gain the confidence I needed to accomplish my birth goals, and though this was not my first child, she empowered me and taught me so many things I did not know and armed me with the knowledge I needed to make informed decisions for myself and baby. Her kindness, compassion, and overall support was comforting and made me feel safe during labor. You can tell she is absolutely passionate about what she does!

Anisah was everything I could have asked for in a doula and more! I'm a first time mom and felt completely overwhelmed and unprepared for what was to come. I had three childbirth classes in addition to my two prenatal vists with Anisah and I learned so much about myself, my body, my abilities, and the labor and delivery process. She also helped me with information regarding breastfeeding, and newborn baby care.

In the actual delivery room, Anisah managed to make me feel like the only person in the room who mattered while still tending to my husband and my mother's needs. My mom is a really anxious person and I was worried that she would stress me out. But Anisah managed to keep everyone calm and reassured. She deserves a medal for handling my family as well as she did!

My husband and I don't know how we would have gotten through labor and delivery without Anisah. She was an amazing doula and I would absolutely use her again if I have another child. She became a special part of our pregnancy and birth prep and was a stellar partner when the time came. We had really helpful pre-natal visits (and loved she came to the first one wearing a punny doula shirt - I won't say what it said you can have fun with it if you work with her!). We never felt rushed and she was always available by phone or text to answer questions along the way and even after birth. Anisah joined us at home when I was in labor and was instrumental in helping labor progress and me handle the pain. Likewise at the hospital, she helped us navigate labor and delivery at each step of the way so we could make informed decisions. After meeting with her in advance and the experience of labor and delivery with her, I feel like Anisah became a real part of our team and my husband and I already miss her!

Upon going into labor, I was notified that Anisah, my back up doula would be helping me. Although we hadn't met or spoken prior to this, she was extremely positive, friendly, and professional. She asked for updates every several hours, especially if I didn't update her on my own. My contractions progressed quicker than expected so it was determined that we would meet at the hospital instead of my home. Upon arriving at the hospital, I immediately had a contraction and Anisah had no problems grabing onto me and helping me through it. We proceeded upstairs and she asked me several questions regarding my wishes for birth. While I was being checked in, before my husband arrived, she advocated for me when I was unable to speak due to contractions and she cheered me on and helped me through the contractions.

My experience with her was so seamless, it was as if we had met several times prior. She was able to guide me and my husband through my contractions and within less than 2 hours, I was holding my baby girl. Anisah helped me to cope with the pain and I was able to get my unmedicaded VBAC as I wished. She stayed with us for about an ahour or so after the brith, took some pictures for us and provided me with helpful information to get me through the first few days. Then she came to our house at one week to make sure everything was going well and to determine if I needed any additional help. I am so grateful for Anisah's work ethic and calming demeanor. She was a wonderful advocate for me and my child and I could not have asked for a better doula by my side to aid me in the birth of my child. If I were to concieve again, I would not hesitate to hire Anisah to help me again.

If you are looking for a doula look no further! I recently gave birth in April and I had the pleasure of Anisah being my doula. This was my first time pregnancy so I had no idea what Id be facing. She was there every step of the way! She would text me to check up on me, gave me great advice on what I should expect during labor. Such as breathing techniques and labor positions (which really helped) she was amazing overall ! When I wanted to give up she continued to push me. I’m proud to say I had a natural birth as I planned & I truly couldn’t have done it without her. She held my hand as she couched me through birth. Her patience and genuine care pulled me through those contractions. I highly recommend having Anisah as your doula.
