I offer educational, physical, and emotional support to my clients, and believe we can create the best and healthiest experience for them during this sacred time. I am a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth instructor and Doula. I trained with DONA international and have been working as a doula since 2009. I chose Natalie as my doula for my third birth because she was certified with Hypnobabies. I loved my Hypnobabies birth with my first and wanted to do it again. I couldn't have made a better choice! She is everything I could have asked for in a doula and more! I felt very supported and empowered throughout the whole process. She is so good at what she does--perfect blend of knowledge, experience & intuition and guides you with the best knowledge so you can make the best decisions for your birth. She made the whole labor process so wonderfully memorable I was so excited to find out we were having our fourth and that I could hire Natalie again! With both births I was doing a VBAC and had false labors the day before delivery. Natalie drove over a total of 4-5hrs with each false labor to help me get my labor progressing again--she had all the tips and tricks and provided such reassurance and positivity to help me not get discouraged. She had to drive over again the next morning with both births because it was the real thing finally and of course she had the best attitude--even though she was proabably as sleep devprived as I was-- and made me feel like me, my baby and my birth experience was the most important thing to her. Her calm and reassuring coaching through all my birthing waves, knowing where to massage, what positions to try, helping my husband know what to do etc. was exactly what I needed. With my third, I labored in the tub. I didn't have that luxury with my fourth due to the having to change hospitals because of COVID restrictions, but both births were just a joy to experience. Furthermore, having Natalie's written account of each birth from her perspective was an added bonus and have become treasured memories. I feel so blessed to have Natalie be a part of our family in this special way. She has become an angel friend and I wish everyone could have her as their doula to experience their perfect birth.
It's hard to put into words the immense amount of gratitude and appreciation I have for Natalie and what she does as a Doula. I'm the kind of person who has memorized the menu before ever stepping into a restaurant and really spent hours researching different doulas in my area. I finally decided on Natalie and after meeting via Skype and asking her many questions I felt very prepared to give birth to my second child. My trauma I experienced with the birth of my son was some thing at the forefront of my mind and Natalie took the time and care to listen and work with that experience to help me feel comfortable and prepared this time around. I had to have an emergency C-section with my son even though I prepared and wanted to have a natural birth. This time around I didn't expect too much and hoped that I would be able to have a Vback and the natural birth I wanted. I know for certain that I would not have been able to have a successful vback and natural birth that I had with my daughter without Natalie. Her attention in the days leading up to when I gave birth and the exercises, suggestions, and tricks that she was able to share with me allowed me to labor at home until I needed to go to the hospital and made my hospital labor seamless and productive. Her bedside manner is amazing she was able to help me feel so comfortable and in control of my body while also comforting me when it got hard and assuring me I was doing everything right. The counter pressure she gave me during contractions was unbelievably vital to my ability to give birth naturally. After my daughter was born she was so kind to take pictures while my husband and I met our daughter for the first time and she stuck around after her to make sure I had all my questions answered and was comfortable in the maternity ward. As a resource before during and after birth, she really made this time around the most healing and unbelievable experience.
Natalie was my doula for my first birth! I loved her from the start. She is so kind, warm, positive, and friendly. She was an amazing resource throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She made me feel comfortable and she knows her stuff! During the birth, Natalie was rubbing my shoulders and head and hair. She was right there the entire time. She could hear me start to moan when a contraction was starting and she was by my side touching me and comforting me. She would bring me water and cold rags. She would say things in my ear like “You are so strong,” “Breathe,” “Low sounds,” “You are amazing,” etc. She was so encouraging, positive, and patient. I truly could not have done it without her. I am SO happy I hired her!! I will never birth without a doula! She made all the difference in the world for not only me, but my husband as well. If you are wondering if you should hire Natalie as your doula, the answer is YES! Thank you Natalie!!
Natalie is an angel on earth! Words cannot express the countless ways that she helped me through childbirth - four times! In addition to providing me with comfort in countless ways, she helped my husband know how to help me, she was a liaison with hospital staff, and a beacon of strength in the hardest moments. I would never have a baby without her! I give her my highest recommendation!
Natalie is an absolutely awesome doula!!
She was very supportive throughout a challenging pregnancy and especially during the long rough labor. I was grateful to have someone to reach out for suggestions on dealing with many of the more common ailments of pregnancy.
Her constant encouraging support throughout the intense contractions was invaluable, especially when I was feeling a bit demoralized after the epidural failed for the 2nd time. During the delivery, while I was pushing, she was the only one who noticed that my husband was feeling kind of faint. She had him sit down and drink something. He quickly recovered and was able to continue being there for me.
She was also a great emotional support during the postpartum period as I recovered from hemorrhaging during the delivery and dealing with my husband's 3-week absence during the initial 6 weeks postpartum. She had good tips for dealing with some common breastfeeding problems I encountered.
I simply cannot recommend Natalie highly enough. We are planning on having our 2nd child in a couple of years and will most definitely be hiring her again.
Natalie is the most wonderful doula!! I so loved having her as my support person for my third baby. She’s so professional, knowledgeable and most of all truly loves and connects with her clients. I love that she’s trained in hypnobirthing- I used that technique with my first and wanted to use it again for this birth. I had false labor the day before and she drove all the way to my home (1.5hrs one way) and spent all day doing different techniques to restart labor. Baby decided to come the next day and Natalie was just the best at keeping me comfortable and relaxed. She always knew exactly what I needed but was also flexible and always gave me the choice. I had full confidence she was my advocate and my husband was also very grateful she was there to direct him to what to do:) i love how we really connected and that we shared the same naturalistic philosophies about health and childbirth. I loved everything about working with Natalie and would recommend her to anyone searching for a doula!
I can not say enough about Natalie. I worked with her when I was having my first baby and of course I was terrified! I didn’t know what to expect or what to do. But Natalie took away my fears and give me confidence with her help and knowledge.
When the time came to go to the hospital, she was right there with me. I NEVER felt like she didn’t care about me by texting and checking her phone. She was with my husband and I 100%.
When the contractions started I was very scared but she immediately start working with me and my husband. She REALLY helped me to deal with the pain and I was able to deliver my baby the next day.
She ia an AMAZING dula!
Natalie is a wonderful and talented doula. She was my doula for 2 babies and I would choose her again. She has a vast amount of knowledge (she is always continuing to learn) and her presence is very calming. She is very easy to get along with (for husbands as well) and brings a happy, bright energy to the birth.
Natalie was amazing to work with. She came prepared with so many different methods to soothe, calm, and keep the mood positive. She knew what questions to ask when a red flag flew up, she assisted me in different positions to ease pains, and attentive 100% of the time. I would recommend Natalie as a doula to any laboring mama.
Having Natalie as my Doula was amazing! This was my 3rd birth, and from the beginning of the pregnancy, I knew I wanted a different birth experience. I had the privilege of taking her hypno-babies class and I feel like it greatly prepared me for the natural child birth that I had chosen. She was there for me for weeks before as I had had some complications and I needed her support and guidance. The day my daughter was born, I felt very comforted knowing she was there to help my husband feel confident in his ability to help me. She stayed calm and helpful throughout a long labor and birth. Should my husband and I choose to have more children, I would not hesitate to have her assist me again. I loved the different experience I had versus my first 2 births.
