Jamie was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and worked with us to find out exactly what we wanted for our 2nd birth! With her help I was able to achieve my goal of delivering naturally. We are so thankful for her and would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing doula!

Jamie is not only so intentional, she was there every step of the way. It felt so great knowing she was present with me the whole time during labor. She allowed me to voice my desires and advocated for me. I was able to deliver our baby boy completely natural without medicine and labor at home until I was 8cm which was a huge goal of mine. When I called her in the middle of the night telling her I was pretty sure I was having contractions, she picked up right away and walked me through how to manage and track them.

Jamie made me comfortable and helped my husband know how to comfort me as well throughout the entire day. She continually checked in on us even after we got home as well. So glad to have a friend in Jamie.

Jamie was an incredible encouragement and calming presence throughout our entire pregnancy, but especially during labor and delivery. I labored for a long time at home, and she was so helpful in answering all of our questions as well as helping us know when to go to the hospital. While at the hospital with us, she was attentive, supportive, full of good ideas on how to help me adjust and progress while laboring, and truly gave incredible moral support to both my husband and I during the last minutes of delivery. Because of Jamie's assistance, I was able to complete a natural unmedicated birth in an environment where I felt supported, loved, prayed for and cared for. I highly recommend Jamie!

My husband and I were searching for a doula who shares our Christian faith, and we found Jamie's name online, along with many positive reviews. We are so thankful we hired her! Jamie is very kind, gentle, and friendly. She is professional and relatable and worked patiently with our family to create a birth plan that would meet our wants and needs. Jamie provided support and encouragement to my hubsand and me, and our first child, during the final weeks of my pregnancy. During my labor and delivery, she was a comforting presence, assisted with managing labor pains, and advocated for me having the most positive birth experience possible. She also took several pictures right after baby's birth, to help us document his first moments. We were very blessed to have hired Jamie!

I am so thankful to have met Jamie and to have been able to work with her through the birth of our first child. We had recently moved to Louisville, and my husband is a pilot, so naturally I was concerned about going into labor and having to go through the experience alone. Jamie's personality will always make you feel at ease, relaxed and with a sense that everything will be ok. As a Christian, it was also important to me to have someone with similar values to be there through the experience.
At 38 weeks I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and ended up in the hospital in the middle of the night with high blood pressure and needed to be induced. While this was not a part of the "plan", Jamie came immediately and helped me think through and process what would happen. There were a lot of different individuals at the hospital popping in and out, and Jamie helped me advocate and ask deeper questions throughout the whole process when I truly did not have the capacity to think through. Jamie was super supportive through the birth planning process, preparing me for the unknown and what I could not control and remained with me through the entire experience. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a solid, reliable, calm, supportive and genuinely kind human to be your coach through the birth planning and labor process to consider Jamie. She was a great support to my husband and I as we went through a long, stressful and unexpected birth experience.

Jamie was such a sweet and thoughtful birth doula! From the moment we met her we noticed that she was more go with the flow and laid back. That was perfect for us...exactly what we were looking for! She worked well with hospital staff and was great help when it came to counter pressure during contractions and helping me calm down during pushing by having me smell some essential oils. We are very grateful for the help she provided during such a special and big moment in our lives!

Jamie is wonderful! My husband and I have no experience with babies  or birth, so we really needed some guidance, plus we are away from family here in KY and the thought of giving birth has always caused me anxiety. We interviewed multiple people and ended up hiring Jamie because she was so sweet and personable. It was really important to me to have someone who was cheerful, kind, and calm. She regularly checked in with me during those last few weeks of pregnancy, helped me create a birth plan, and made herself available to answer all my questions. No question I had was a dumb question to her and I felt comfortable talking about all the details of pregnancy and birth. Our baby girl was born November 17th and Jamie was there for everything! Just her presence was comforting to me knowing that she had my best interests in mind. She helped calm me down with essential oils and talked me through contractions. One of the things I appreciate most was that she helped my husband support me through the process. She also visited after we brought our baby home and helped me create a schedule for her. I would 10/10 recommend Jamie as a birth doula and if we have more kids in the future I'll be giving her a call first thing!

We somewhat last minute decided to get a doula (pushing 30 weeks I believe) bc we decided we also wanted to deliver at the Tree of Life birthing center. So we found Jamie and she was amazing! I know sometimes I can be rotten and don't want to listen but she was always very calm and full of positive reinforcement, which during a time like delivery, you need someone like that. We were so grateful to have her apart of our little lady's arrival and we can't thank her enough!

Working with Jamie was so easy; I felt comfortable and at ease with her at our very first meeting, so it was an easy choice to pick her. My husband and I were expecting our first baby, and I was looking for someone who could teach me about my options for labor and delivery, and be a comforting source of support during labor. We met several times prior to giving birth, and she helped explain what to look for regarding signs of labor in an easy to understand way. Throughout the last several weeks of pregnancy, I appreciated that Jamie always checked in to see how I was doing. It was the middle of the night when I went into labor, and Jamie was in the hospital by the time I got to the delivery room (from triage), and was always ready with things to help support me and my husband (especially the heat packs!). Something that I am definitely thankful for was Jamie's calm and non-judgmental attitude. I did not have a set plan regarding pain management, and although I had labored for quite some time at home, I immediately asked for the epidural as soon as I arrived; Jamie did not bat an eye or try to talk me out of it. Throughout the uneventful part of labor, it was nice for my husband and I to have someone to talk to and help keep us distracted. Then, having her there to help support my body while I pushed was very much appreciated; I needed the help from both her and my husband, and I can't imagine it being anyone other than the two of them. Jamie also took pictures of us meeting our baby girl, and I love that those moments were able to be captured, especially since we didn't know the gender prior to giving birth. Jamie stayed for a little while after to help support in the initial trials of latching, but knew when it was time for us to bond as a family. We are grateful for having her calm, personable presence with us through the journey, and have appreciated her following up and checking in on our sweet girl.

I spent the first 7 months of my pregnancy trying to figure out if I wanted a doula or not. We decided around 34 weeks to interview a few because it couldn't hurt. We knew after talking to Jamie that we would definitely be hiring her. Although it was my plan to have an unmedicated hospital birth, Jamie had no problems if I ended up changing my mind and getting an epidural. We had two prenatal appointments to go over comfort measures and get to know each other. Due to my baby being estimated to be large, my OB wanted to induce me on my due date. Jamie, along with my husband, helped me advocate for myself to wait a few more days. I still ultimately was induced and Jamie was there for us for the whole thing. Although we took Lamaze classes and knew a few ways to help with pain naturally, Jamie was key to me surviving without pain medication for as long as I did. She helped direct my husband in how to help me while she also helped. We used a birthing ball, essential oils, and massage techniques as those were my personal favorites. It was also fantastic to have someone else there so my husband could leave to grab drinks or food and I wouldn't be alone. I would never want any family members in a delivery room with me, but Jamie was the perfect complement to us.  Eventually I got an epidural, but Jamie still played an essential part in my labor experience. She helped us ask questions or explained things that might come up so we could be more prepared. She helped coach me through pushing along with my OB. She was so encouraging and positive. After our baby was born, she captured priceless moments on my phone per my request. Those moments are fleeting and hectic and these are just a nice cherry on top of having Jamie as your doula. Having her knowledge and expertise made my labor experience pleasant despite it not following my plan. I would highly recommend Jamie as a part of your labor experience.

Jamie was a great doula! She taught us some really nice relaxation techniques before my birth. I didn't end up getting to use them much because I had a crazy fast labor, but she was helpful in helping us decide when to go to the hospital and to get a great first latch/breastfeed right after our baby was born. She even offered to come help me the next night in the hospital when my husband had to go home to be with our other child, which was beyond what she agreed to in our contract. She was super responsive and reliable throughout all of our interactions, which was comforting and particularly key given my fast labor!

We are so thankful we had her for our birth experience!

My husband and I decided late in my pregnancy to hire a doula.  We were planning a VBAC and realized that having the support of a doula would be beneficial to both of us.  We met with a few different doulas but knew right away after our first meeting with Jamie that she would be the best fit for us.  Jamie was well prepared, professional, and kind.  Since we decided so late in the pregnancy to hire a doula, we didn't have much time to get in prenatal session but Jamie was flexible and made sure that we got them scheduled quickly.  The sessions were informative and helped us build up a comfort with Jamie.  Jamie checked in with me via text after my doctors appointments and provided support and comfort after some discouraging appointments.  Due to some safety concerns, we were unable to move forward with VBAC plans and instead decided a repeat c-section would be the safest birth plan for us.  Even after sharing this news, Jamie continued to provide supportive words, checking in with us before and after baby arrived.  While I can't speak to a experience with Jamie during labor, I am certain that she would have been wonderful! Jamie has a calming, warm, and comforting presence.  My husband and I are very grateful to have had the oppurtunity to meet and work with Jamie and we will be recommending her to anyone looking for a doula!

Ever since I got pregnant my desire was to have a natural birth. While we visited a natural birth class I realized it would be very helpful if we hired a birth doula. I got in contact with Jamie through one of our friends. Thankfully she was available for our due date in August despite the short notice. She took a lot of time to get to know us better and to see what our individual needs and preferences are for the birth.
Labor started and developed very quickly. Jamie was immediately available to give advice over the phone, and shortly after we met up at the hospital. First of all Jamie has a very calming nature which helped us a lot to keep cool and to better manage the pain. It was also very helpful that she had all her stuff handy as we were somewhat surprised by the fast progression of the birth process and still had all our bags in the car. Us not having our music or the birth ball wasn’t an issue thanks to Jamie being so well prepared. Since both my husband and I are not native English speakers it was particularly helpful that Jamie explained what was going to happen next, and acted as liaison between the hospital staff and us.
There was a point where I felt I was in too much pain and was considering asking for pain medication. Jamie reminded me that I am already in transition phase and it won’t be long now and helped shifting my focus through concentrating on a breathing technique. This helped me a lot to keep going further. Soon after we were blessed with the most healthy and handsome little baby boy. On top of this we got the beautiful natural birth experience we were hoping for.
Jamie was also very involved and helpful in the postpartum period. She was interested in how we are all doing, gave good advice and checked in on us a few times. She gave me the reassuring feeling that we’re not alone and are going to be good parents.
Thank you Jamie for all your support and for joining us on this unforgettable journey!
