Having Sam as our Doula was incredibly helpful and we cannot imagine our birth experience (leading up to, labor/delivery and postpartum ) without her. She is kind, knowledgeable, personable, and provided the support we needed for the birth of our child.

We were initially drawn to her reviews and from the moment we met with her on the phone we knew that she was the right fit for us!

She provided a plethora of educational materials and was a great resource if we had any follow up questions. She had great questions which aided into creating our birth plan. 

She showed up within the hour of us arriving to the hospital and never left our side for 12 hours. She walked with me several times while I was in labor. She also suggested different positions to get me as comfortable as I could be. While I sat in the tub during active labor, she was there providing updates from what she could see on the monitors and we talked about various things which helped keep my mind off of the contractions. 

When it was time to push, she had a fan and that kept me cool. Her presence was comforting and soothing.  She continued to provide support during the hour of skin to skin and coached me on nursing tips.

She checked in with us the day after and came by for a visit once we got home. She was also responsive a few days post birth with additional questions we had.

The only thing I wish for in hindsight is that we would have known her for our first birthing experience, but we truly attest that it was the best experience the second time around because of her. We could never thank her enough!

Sam is absolutely incredible! This was my husband's and my first child, and we live far away from family. Having Sam's support leading up to delivery, to ask questions mainly around "is this normal" or what to expect, was extremely calming for both my husband and I. Sam kept us educated and it made for a very straightforward and beautiful birth experience. Sam advocated for us every step of the way, and made sure I was comfortable and receiving the care I needed. We would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking!

We worked with Sam through our local hospital (Swedish) as first-time parents. We really connected with Sam's easygoing nature and confident guidance. I ended up being induced late on a Friday night and Sam showed up for my admission and provided a sense of calm and helped counsel me through my induction options--many of which felt overwhelming and scary. When my water broke the next morning she arrived promptly and guided my husband and I through my 19-hour labor with a level head and encouragement. Sam was instrumental at keeping spirits high and providing balance when there were moments of stress or anxiety. She helped guide me through various labor positions that sped up my dilation and helped ensure I got to have a vaginal birth when there were concerns I might need a cesarean. I credit Sam's support with my positive birth experience, which ultimately made my post partum period much, much better. I'd recommend Sam for any parents looking for an affirming, calming, and confident doula.

I'm so glad we had Sam to support us through labor and delivery.

She was always available and very communicative from the beginning. She visited us at home multiple times before the birth and also came to our house after the birth. She always made us feel like we could reach out to her anytime with any questions or concerns we had, no matter how small they were. She helped us prepare not only for the birth experience but was also a lifesaver for helping understand and be successful with breastfeeding and pumping. I'm not sure I would have been able to handle breastfeeding without her help and advice.

She was also a huge support to me and my husband during labor, which unfortunately happened on Christmas Eve. She left her family to come spend the holiday with us in the hospital. She helped us understand what was happening, make decisions, and helped me get into more comfortable positions while I rested and when it was time to push. The labor experience was so much smoother than I expected it to be, and I believe that's in large part because I fully understood what was happening and I was able to make informed decisions with Sam's help. Everything went fast, I had only minimal tearing, and I recovered very quickly. I feel so grateful that I had such a positive birth experience.

I would highly recommend Sam to anyone considering working with her. I don't know what I would have done without her help.

We are so grateful to have had Sam as our Doula. Sam is an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, calm, and skilled doula. We met with her several times before birth where she taught us about birthing options and different medical terms, and guided us to make decisions about a flexible, birth plan. She was so personable and brought humor in needed moments. She was always available for texts and calls leading up to the birth, and helped ease anxiety and confusion. During labor, Sam came to the hospital quickly and guided me through painful contractions with affirmations and movement. She helped provide calm in scary moments and support when making decisions throughout labor, always empowering me to make a decision that I was comfortable with while providing helpful information. She guided me through delivery alongside the medical team and was a constant presence of strength and support. After baby was born, she continued to support until we got to the postpartum room, and checked in regularly after we were discharged. We are incredibly grateful to Sam for being a part of this life changing time and could not have done it without her. We would recommend Sam 100% as a doula!

Sam was an incredible support throughout our birth journey. She is compassionate, calm, and deeply caring - a steady rock in an often unpredictable process. Her knowledge and guidance helped us navigate the Swedish system and prepare for an induction with confidence. Even as second-time parents with a medical professional in the family, having Sam in our corner for decision support and advocacy was invaluable. She brought a sense of peace and reassurance every step of the way. We can't recommend her enough!

I was so glad to have Sam by my side during my intense, 30 hour labor! She helped me with positions to maximize progression. She is incredibly patient and a real comfort to have in the room with you. Sam is very knowledgeable and helps everyone remain calm during stressful situations. My husband and I highly recommend her!

Sam is such an amazing doula ever ! She is outstanding and best support system ever . I was very impressed by her performance and her dedication to see her work very clearly and hard to support me in my birth stage . She was there  to support me as a mother.   with my unique needs and preferences. She offer continuous encouragement, reassurance, and a calming presence during  my labor and birth.  Whatever I needed from her she was there for me to make sure that she  provides comfort measures such as massage, positioning techniques, and breathing exercises to ease labor pain. I was very grateful that she help me to  understand my  options, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with the medical team. She also gave me  and provides me with a comprehensive support and care. She did an amazing service and I was very pleased with her service. If anything I would recommend her to be my doula all over again because she did A+ job and was satisfied with my doula experience.

Working with Sam was great! I would 100% recommend her doula services. She was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. She made me feel very comfortable, which was important, as pregnancy is a very personal and vulnerable time. She was also very giving of her time and resources/experience. I felt like I learned a lot from our sessions and that they helped me feel prepared for labor. Most importantly, Sam was there for me when I really needed her. My labor had some serious complications and Sam helped me hold it together so I could be strong for my baby and for myself. I am forever grateful.

Sam is an excellent doula. My husband and I felt immediately comfortable the first time we spoke with her. It was clear that she is not only knowlegable and experienced, but truly cares about helping facilitate the birth experience her clients are hoping for. She took time to get to know me, my partner, and my toddler during our pre-natal visits. She has a calm, warm presence which was especially helpful during the more intense parts of my labor and delivery.

My husband and I were blessed to have Sam help us bring our bundle of love into the world! Having a doula was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. Especially during covid, when we couldn't have close family members and friends' support, having Sam help us through the labor and delivery process was wonderful. Sam is calm and very knowledgeable, she has been part of our journey throughout my pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. When I got admitted to the hospital, Sam arrived within a couple of hours and stayed with us until our little one joined the world. She guided us through the delivery process and provided my husband insights on how he can support me during labor. I will be working with her for any future pregnancies I may have. I highly recommend Sam for anyone who is looking an amazing doula.

She was amazing doula. We clicked instantly. She explained her services and how she could assist me, filled me in on the things I had yet to realize I needed to know, and offered phenomenal emotional support. Though my pregnancy didn't go as planned, she encouraged me and did her best to help me stick to my birth plan. It made the whole ordeal a bit more manageable for me.

Sam West is fantastic. She supported my husband and I at our daughter’s birth. From when I first met her, I was exceptionally impressed by how knowledgeable, professional and friendly Sam was. During the birth, Sam was highly competent, relaxed and reassuring, guiding us through possible labor positions, comforting me, helping my husband in terms of how best to support me, providing information, and ultimately, proving to be much more fully present, knowledgeable and supportive in guiding me through pushing than the labor and delivery nurse was. I ended up needing an unplanned ceserean - Sam was there throughout. In looking back at the experience my husband and I both agreed that we are not sure how we would have made through the birth without her. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Sam was extremely affective at making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process, and especially during the birth. She provided me several helpful resources both before and after the birth. Her services were a great value. The best part of having her as part of my birth experience was the confidence she gave me by equipping me with knowledge about the birth process as well as the physical comfort she was able to provide and teach my partner how to provide during my labor.
