I wasn't sure I needed a doula since my hubby was going to be my birth partner, but since it was our first child I thought it might still be a good idea. I'm so glad I not had a doula but had Jacqueline as my doula. She was so thoughtful and gentle, she brought a calming presence to the whole day. She supported both me and my husband, letting my husband assist me as much as he could and helping guide him to know how he could support me. She was considerate of our needs and preferences. I appreciated how she worked with our midwife and helped make my home birth possible. I am grateful that Jacqueline was our doula and would love to have her be our doula again should we have a second chld.

Jacqueline has now assisted my family with the birth of both my son and daugher.  She was a wonderful, calming presence throughout both births.  Her quiet kindness always grounded me when I was feeling scared.  She gave fantastic massages and helped so selflessly at every stage of my labors, one of which required her presence for about 30 hours!  She is an extraordinary caregiver -- I think she massaged my feet and ankles and hands for hours during both births.  She also helped me by praying with me before the pushing stage in both births, when I was feeling overwhelmed by what was to come.  She was so reassuring and shared such confidence in my body and ability to birth my babies.  I got an epidural with both babies and she was not judgmental, only encouraging and kind.  My mother, who was present at both births, also felt very comforted and reassured by her gentle presence.  She also gave gentle tips to my husband about what might help me.  She was a very important part of my birth team.

She came to our home twice before our births and once after to check up on us.  She was always a source of wisdom for me, regarding parenting, babies, and self-care.  I feel very blessed by her kindess, and I hope I will get to have her help at another birth one day!

I had the pleasure of working with Jacqueline in the Fall/Winter of 2015.

After a last-minute cancellation, I found myself recovering from a second c-section, with a toddler and a newborn. I was thrilled that Jacqueline was available and able to start right away. I found Jacqueline to have a very professional demeanor and she proved invaluable to us in the weeks following the birth of our daughter.Jacqueline has a very peaceful nature about her, and she is quite knowledgable. She was able to assist me through some breastfeeding difficulties, and acted as a soundboard as I was faced with difficult decisions. My toddler son took to her right away and enjoyed while she occupied him as I rested and cared for my newborn. In addition to the help and care she provided for my children, Jacqueline helped put things in perspective as I got lost in caring for two babies. She reminded me to eat and rest.

My home was calm when Jacqueline was here post-partum, and I am forever grateful for that. I would recommend her services to anyone.

We hired Jacqueline to help with my newborn and 3-yr-old while I recovered from a 3rd degree tear after childbirth. It was important that I spend lots of time lying down or sitting. Jacqueline was just what my family needed during this season. She did everything you could think of that might be needed during a chaotic time around the house. She cooked, cleaned, did laundry, held the baby, played with my toddler, took them to the park so I could shower, nap, sitz, rest, etc. I didn't even have to ask her to do anything; she just jumps in and knows what to do.She is very knowledgeable in all things baby, especially breastfeeding.

I'd say what was must special to me was how great she was with my 3-yr-old. She played with her, read to her, sang songs with her, took her on walks and incorporated her into other things she was doing around the house like cooking. After Jacqueline left one day while my daughter was out with my husband, my daughter came home and searched the house for Jacqueline and had a big tantrum when she realized her new best friend had gone home for the day. It was so nice to have someone pouring into my daughter when I know I was having to neglect her to take care of myself during this time.

Jacqueline is also a wonderful encouragment. She was just nice to talk to. She knows when to speak into a hard situation and knows when to listen. She has definetely become a friend. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad I don't need her help anymore! It's like having your mother around your house with your family, it's that natural for her to love on families that are complete strangers. And she makes fantastic sweet potato oven fries! :)

As a new mom to twins, in a new town, with all our family over 1500 miles away, I was in serious need of post partum help and support. We found this support in Jaqueline. Jacqueline made herself available to our family from the day we called her. She has such a wonderful way with babies and an overall calm nature, exactly what we needed while so sleep deprived and in the throws of twin parenthood. Jacqueline would sing and recite poetry, tidy things up, and hold and care for our twins while I was able to get a few hours of much needed sleep. I felt immediately comfortable leaving Jacqueline with the babies while I slept. The time spent with Jacqueline while I was awake was also wonderful. Her breastfeeding tips were memorable, our conversations about new motherhood were thought provoking, and her kind words of encouragement still make me smile today. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jacqueline's doula services. She gives incredible peace of mind to a new parent and comes with a great deal of experience.

As a post partum doula Jacqueline was so encouraging and helpful. When I needed a little time to shower, or just do simple chores I knew my son would be in loving arms. She spoke to him so sweetly, a perfect caregiver.

Jacqueline is so kind and genuine, she pours her heart into her work as a doula. I would recommend her to any new mommy + daddy looking for someone to lovingly nurture their little one while they rest/eat/etc. She is definitely respite for a weary new parent!

I had an outstanding birthing experience. God blessed me with such a great support + birth team, which included Jacqueline as our doula. She was genuinely interested in helping our experience be memorable, her encouragement is unforgettable. She helped in so many ways - filling up the birthing tub, supporting me in any way I needed, using pressure points, taking photos and so much more. Her work is truly remarkable, she has a gift for this.

After our son was born she was so attentive, helping to make sure he latched properly to nurse and making sure all of my post labor needs were met. Lord willing we will have more birth experiences that she can be a part of!
