I was initially hesitant about using a doula service but after meeting with Jalecia, my wife and I both knew it was the right service for us. This was our first child and we had a lot of questions about the birth process and experience. They both helped us in our prenatal visit to answer the many questions we had and expanded on issues we hadn't even considered! My wife felt so much more at ease knowing that she had another support partner. As the days got closer to our due date and her eventual induction, Jalecia reached out to her on many occasions to ask how she was doing physically and emotionally. This really helped her have a positive experience. When we went in for her induction, Jalecia was available via text and came to the hospital quickly once we physically needed her there. Her labor experience was long and hard and her birth plan did not go the way she wanted it but Jalecia was there to support and help her cope with her decision making on her unplanned C-Section. She was positive, reassuring and calming. She was also a great support to me in the moments after birth, she was there to assist me with the first feed. She was a great support to both my wife and I and her birth experience would not have been as positive without her. It was also helpful after birth that Jalecia reached out to my wife to check on how she was doing especially after an unplanned birth experience. We would emphatically recommend King of Prussia Doulas, and specifically Jalecia to anyone considering this type of service.
