I wanted to start saying Thank you Caitlyn! I'll be forever grateful for having you by our side during labor, and if baby 2 ever comes, I’m hoping to have you there again. Our best decision and I recommend her to anyone. Since the first meeting she was attentive, knowledgeable, patient and caring. I was a FTM planning a natural birth and had millions of questions. My husband was 100% believing he would, instinctively, ‘just know’ what to do, obviously, I was freaking out about it lol. She helped us to be prepared and gave us the tools we needed to be calm during pregnancy and for the big day. I loved my birth and I know I wouldn’t remember that day the same way if Caitlyn wasn’t there. My husband (who wasn’t really convinced a doula was necessary in the beginning) says she was a God’ send and an essential part of our beautiful birth story. Having her with us gave him the chance to get some rest, but mainly, she provided my husband the guidance needed to remain calm and support me the way I needed him to. I ended up not having my natural birth, but because Caitlyn was there to help me manage the physical pain and exhaustion, I got the epidural when I was 7cm, instead of the probably 3cm in case she wasn’t there lol. During pregnancy she would promptly answer all my concerns and put my mind at ease. When the big day arrived, she was with me from 7am to 7pm, holding my hand during contractions, massaging my back, guiding my husband, helping me to change positions, explaining my pain and what was going on, cheering me and constantly remind me that I was freaking strong and awesome, that my body was working with me to birth my beautiful baby girl. I just have wonderful things to say about her. Added bonus to the experience, she is a great photographer and we have unbelievable shots from our birth.
Mama, and dad, reading reviews now, you can’t stop looking for someone, you found it. Caitlyn is the best.
Caitlyn with Labor to Love, is such an amazing person. She is such an amazing resource. I was a first time mom when she was our doula with a million and seven questions. Caitlyn promptly answered every single one and did an amazing job at putting my mind to ease. She never made me feel stupid for the questions I asked and helped quell my anxieties. She is very educated when it comes to child birth, my husband and I learned so much in her classes. She’s an amazing photographer as well, we have so many precious photos thanks to her!
Rest assured if you are a first time mom, even a second or third, Caitlyn is such an amazing help. I’d recommend her day after day!
Thank you again for all your love and support! Our little angel thanks you too ??
I would highly recommend Caitlyn. She was extremely accommodating, attentive, and caring. From the moment I met her I was at ease, knowing she would be with me through my pregnancy and delivery. She was also extremely professional and prompt in the business aspect of our arrangement. The day of labor she was there checking in constantly and making sure I was comfortable with each choice I made, and ready to jump when I said I was ready for her. She got there right away, and was helpful through labor. Unfortunately due to a cord accident, we lost our son during labor. Caitlyn was there for my significant other while I was rushed away. That meant the world to me. She was extremely compassionate and helpful and had a photographer there that morning to help us create memories with our son that we would not of had without her. She has and continues to stay in contact with me and has helped me through my greiving. She has gifted me special momentous that we will hold close to our heart forever. Caitlyn is a perfect choice for a doula. From the beginning she will be there no matter what you will endure during pregnancy and delivery.
Caitlyn is an incredible Doula! Her support and knowledge are beyond compare. We were beyond blessed to have her as our Doula for baby #3. Caitlyn was simply amazing from prenatal to postpartum – all during a pandemic. She gave great advice and references during my pregnancy - always checking in. My birth was a bit unconventional, and Caitlyn was there right beside me every step of the way with great care and professionalism. (She was even helpful to the doctors during a procedure!) What would have been a day full of anxiety and worry, was filled with joy and excitement due to Caitlyn’s attentiveness, undeniable confidence and sweet bedside manner. No to mention, the photos she took of our birth were absolutely beautiful! After we came home from the hospital, Caitlyn made sure I was settling in well, and her postpartum visit was wonderful, just as I had expected. My husband adores her as well, and we won't hesitate to hire Caitlyn for baby #4! ;)
Caitlyn was an excellent doula! Extremely attentive and did exactly what I wanted. She offered a ton of services, that I should have taken advantage of, but being that I like to do things on my own I turned some things down. I was very specific about my needs and that I wanted no more/no less and Caitlyn did exactly what we discussed before my labor during our consultation before the birth. She was great with preparation, check ins, the day of labor, and follow up after the birth. Unfortunately covid happened after the birth and we did not do an in person visit after, but that did not dissuade her from checking on me through text several times. I would highly recommend Caitlyn!
I was so grateful to have Caitlyn by my side every step of the way both during my pregnancy and even a few weeks after my baby arrived when I really needed the extra help and support! Caitlyn was so knowledgeable and a true asset when trying to navigate all of our options and learn what to expect. Later in my pregnancy, things took a turn and we ended up having to scrap our original birth plan at the last minute and build a new one for my planned Cesarean. I was terrified, but Caitlyn spent so much time with me and calmed me down tremendously. She checked in regularly and her positivity helped me to not only become comfortable with my new birth plan, but to actually be able to look back fondly on how things turned out. Even though she couldn't be with me during the actual surgery, she made sure she was there with me as soon as I was out, and having her familiar face and calming demeanor meant the world to me and my new family. If more children are in my future, I will absolutely be sure to have her by my side again. Thank you so much for everything Caitlyn!!!
Caitlyn was super helpful in the planning our birth plan and process. She reassured us constantly that we would have the birth we wanted and that she was going to help us achieve that. We ended up having a very quick birth but it checked every wish on our list and was completely natural. Her techniques she taught us in the prenatal appointment were pinnacle urging contractions. Her support post labor & with breastfeeding was so necessary and she was there! So happy we went with her, she was a great part of our team!
Caitlyn is a WONDERFUL doula! She is attentive, caring, and well educated. I found her to be an excellent resource throughout my pregnancy, both informative and compassionate. You can tell that she really cares about mothers and babies, and stays up to date on current information regarding pregnancy and even 4th trimester information. Caitlyn was so helpful during my difficult pregnancy AND my natural labor and delivery. She advocated for the birth that I really wanted, and helped me communicate with the doctor and nurses. I’m a first time mom, and I would have been lost without Caitlyn! No matter how many books you read and how much research you do, nothing compares to having an actual human providing emotional support. I will definitely be using Caitlyn for future pregnancies!
Caitlyn was very prompt with setting up our first meeting prior to meeting her at a local maternity event, and I felt comfortable with her right away. Although I was her first delivery, her disposition was that of someone that had been doing this all her life. Leading up to my labor, she always felt within reach and would inquire as to how my doctors appointments were going as they came and went. When the day finally arrived, things did not go as I had planned. Labor started at midnight, with my husband unreachable, as he was in the air flying home from overseas for the birth of our son (active duty military). We were unsure if he would make it at all. Labor pains were very intense very quickly, and I was having issues with severe hip pain due to a chronic illness. Caitlyn had done research on my condition and was prepared to guide me through this and support me as plans changed. When I elected to have an epidural sooner rather than later, I never felt judged for altering my plans, and she was there to hold my hand every step of the way. She stayed by my side so my Mother could rest and eat. She was there when my husband finally arrived and I got to see him for the first time in person since January. She took photos and captured this amazing moment that we will cherish forever. As labor progressed, she guided him and my Mother on how to support me, alleviate pain, explained what was going on as the nurses and doctor came and went. Her medical background provided the perfect bridge between knowledge and nurture that we all needed in the room with us that day. When it finally came time to push, she guided my husband and Mother in how to help me and made sure the nursing staff knew what I wanted for my newborn upon arrival so I could focus. When my son finally arrived, she captured the first few moments of our new family. I couldn’t imagine enduring this experience without her, and my husband and Mother have expressed the same sentiment many times.
