Having a doula for my second birth was everything I didn’t know I needed. Leslie was recommended by a friend and, after a terrible, traumatic, prior delivery where I was bullied into unnecessary medical interventions at the convenience of the hospital, I decided to give it a try. Leslie was the support I needed to communicate my needs to the staff. She helped educate me on rights within the birth setting and best practices for me and the baby through delivery. She was also a huge help during the delivery to my husband, who is always hugely supportive. Leslie was able to guide him on how to best support me through labor and delivery - comfort measures that he couldn’t possibly have known. Thanks to her, I can look back on my second birth and actually have happy tears. I wish everyone could have that kind of experience.

Leslie has been fantastic! We hired her after our second baby was born and she has helped us navigate through our fourth trimester with our newborn. As an anxious mother, I have found peace and balance having her in my home! She is a calming force when your world is upside down. She is amazing with babies and knows exactly what mom needs whether it’s a nap, shower or a hot meal! She’s a phenomenal listener and very supportive and so wise and mothering. I cannot speak highly enough about her! If you were thinking about hiring a postpartum doula then I would highly recommend Leslie!

If you're thinking of hiring a doula, or searching for one, you must work with Leslie! The birth of my first child was a stressful pregnancy and complications arose during the last few weeks. Shortly after giving birth, postpartem set in. The thought of another pregnancy and child was overwhelming and terrifying. After some research, we decided to work with a doula and try for a second child. Leslie entered our lives shortly after my son was born 6 weeks prematurely. She has been the calming and knowledgable force that has made this experience delightful!
During our time together, Leslie has been a support in so many areas. She has helped with breastfeeding and lactation, developmental milestones, baby wearing and massage, the 5 S's, and more. She keeps a close eye on me to be sure that I am rested, eating nutritional foods, and hydrated. She is a terrific sounding board and an integral part of our support network. She approaches every issue and question in a nonjudgemental and positive way that benefits both myself and my son.
Leslie's vast knowledge, training, and experience were evident from our very first conversation. She teaches, guides, and offers suggestions in a gentle, helpful manner. Her interaction with both my son and daughter are full of smiles, affection, and developmentally appropriate, fun activities. She is simply adored by all of us. I guarantee that working with Leslie will be an equally amazing experience for your family as well!
