My family and I will be forever grateful to Leialoha and Angie for all of their support. My husband and I came to them with a fuzzy plan for an unmedicated birth but with few ideas on how to achieve our goal. They readily offered suggestions on local birthing resources and made sure to check-in throughout my pregnancy. As questions arose, they were both incredibly responsive. Two weeks after my due date, Leialoha was with me for my daughter’s birth. She stayed for nearly 30 hours as my birth center birth turned into a hospital birth and then into an unexpected c-section. Leialoha brought me endless cold compresses, offered words of encouragement, and helped us navigate shifting birth plans. My husband appreciated a pick-me-up from an energy drink she pulled from her miracle doula bag. She helped my husband and I feel more comfortable with the hospital midwives, nurses, and doctors; providing gentle reminders for staff to introduce themselves. She even helped us craft a new birth plan and facilitated a discussion with the OB-GYN about our questions. My daughter’s birth was beautiful and Leialoha’s continuous support was invaluable.

We had the most amazing experience with Leialoha during the birth of our daughter.  We knew the first time we met Leialoha that she was the doula we wanted alongside of us.  She had such a warm approach, a friendly attitude, and amazing level of confidence that instantly established a level of trust with us.  Throughout the entire process, we felt so informed and empowered in our decision making and Leialoha did such a great job of advocating on our behalf.  This was our first child, so needless to say we were a little nervous especially when labor started.  Leialoha's calming presence coupled with her helpful moves and suggestions made the experience so much more enjoyable.  We reflect back on our birth story with so much positivity and we credit Leialoha with really helping to shape and improve the experience.

We interviewed a handful of doulas while we were pregnant. From our first interaction with Leialoha, we knew she was the right fit for us. Her warmth, authenticity and knowledge were exactly what we were looking for to guide and enhance our first birth experience.

During labor, Leialoha thought of the comfort measures that the other members of our care team (nurse, midwife, partner) didn’t... they made all the difference in feeling cared for, held and loved in my most trying moments.

I could always reach Leialoha by text and came to expect a timely, thoughtful response to my questions. I never felt like I was bothering her - she made me feel heard and validated.

We couldn’t recommend Leialoha more highly. We’ll be in touch when we’re pregnant again! :)

Leialoha was the doula for my second birth and honestly, I just lucked into her. My 2nd pregnancy went fast and I forgot to hire a doula until week 37 (whoops!) Thankfully Leialoha was available and our first meeting went from interview to intake very quickly. From the beginning she had the perfect energy for me. She was calm and fun and helpful but not intrusive and could read the room very well. I had a hard labor that ended in an emergency c-section. I was so thankful that we had hired Leialoha when it was all said and done. She started out as a stranger but by the end of my birth she felt like an old friend. I had laughed and cried with her and found much comfort in having her there. Beyond providing emotional support, she also had a lot of knowledge about different positions we could try during labor, had essential oils for when I was feeling sick and had snacks for when my husband inevitably was hungry. And when I woke up in recovery she was the person who was there for me and had gathered all of our belongings from our labor room so my husband could go be with our daughter in the NICU. Leialoha was the perfect person to have on our team for this birth and I'm so thankful for her.

Shorthand: Leialoha worked as a night doula for my family for a few nights a week over the span of 4 months or so while I recovered from an extreme case of postpartum depression, anxiety, and insomnia. I give her 5,000 / 5 stars! Hire her now!

Detail: Leialoha was a god send to our family after our daughter was born. As a brand new mother, I was lost, anxious, sleep deprived, and miserably lonely and depressed. By the time my family realized I needed more help than they could provide, I had really gone through the ringer, trying to find support for myself while simultaneously providing 99.9% of the care to my newborn. I was exhausted. Enter Leialoha. She was absolutely essential in my postpartum recovery and finally I had found someone who I could trust absolutely with my young daughter. Leialoha is warm, comforting, experienced, confident, capable, loving, understanding, and nurturing, all while being authoritative enough to remind me she was there so I could finally rest- so get to bed! I was always just so relieved to see her that I had to spend some time in her comfort and love before I myself went off to bed. Her presence made me feel safe. She was a friend to me when no one else around me seemed to understand the unexpected, hellish, postpartum anxiety that I was trying to overcome. She shared lactaction cookie recipes that did their part in helping my milk supply come back after a short stay in the hospital when I thought my milk had dried up completely. She showed me a new hold to help my daughter's gas pain be relieved. She texted with me even when she was away, checking in to make sure me and the baby were ok. She brought my daughter a sweet board book back from her visit to Hawaii. She hugged me when I needed to be hugged. She stayed up and held and rocked my daughter when nothing else would do. I could say so much more. I'll forever be greatful of the support she provided to me and my daughter, and by extension the rest of my family.

Leialoha has provided overnight postpartum Doula Care for our twins starting around 3-ish months old to 5-ish months old. She has been an amazing support for us and we are greatful for the sleep we’ve been able to get while our girls have been in her care. Sleep is hard to come by with twins and an older (2 1/2 year old) child. Leialoha is currently back with us (girls are almost 10 months) helping us through some difficult teething and sleep regression times. We appreciate all the help and support Leialoha has provided and we look forward to the nights when she‘ll be here.
