It was an absolute pleasure working with Jessica!!! I knew from the moment that I found out that I was pregnant, that I wanted a doula.

Unfortunately, shortly after I transferred to The Birth Center, there was some unexpected work that needed to be done in our house that ate into our budget for a doula. Jessica was one of two doulas that was willing to support me for a discounted price. One thing that really touched my heart was the fact that she was so willing to avail herself as my doula because she had had a doula for a discounted price and wanted to "pay it forward". 

From our first conversation over the phone, Jessica was warm, kind, and very knowledgeable. She made me feel like she was already on my team and wanted to ensure that I had the birth experience that I truly desired. Jessica made sure that every question that I had was answered and never once did I feel rushed, like my birth preferences were silly, nor did I ever feel judged.

During my labor, Jessica was right there, always engaged and she knew just what I needed, even when I didn't. Although I had the support of both my amazing husband and wonderful mother, I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to go through labor without Jessica by my side. 

When things took an unexpected turn and I had to be transferred to the hospital, Jessica was there and continued to support me. She had been with me for 16 hours straight and wanted to continue to stay with me, but my mother had to encourage her to go home and get some rest. Even though I ended up having an unwanted and unexpected C-section to deliver my child, Jessica's presence really made all the difference in my labor. 

Jessica is truly a gem and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking for labor support to choose her as your doula. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
