I had an unexpected C-section with my first birth and was determined to have a different experience for my second. I interviewed a few different doulas but none left me feeling quite as reassured as Kendra. I was due on Christmas but never felt that would be a burden.

Kendra helped me navigate a change of doctors and hospitals mid-pregnancy and gave great recommendations for chiropractic care. She came to us for a prenatal planning session and gave us many things to review and discuss.

She arrived at my home when I asked for her in labor and helped me and my husband manage early labor with hands on care and reassurances. She came to the hospital with us and helped me cope through increasingly difficult contractions while going through triage and paperwork. I was ultimately able to achieve a much-desired VBAC and I credit much of that to her guidance and hands-on care.

She checked in with us when we got home and had qualifications to answer some breastfeeding questions that came up. I wish all pregnant people could have a doula to help guide them and I feel lucky we hired Kendra.

I was first introduced to Kendra through a local online mother's group. I started asking questions about hiring a doula, and her name kept popping up as the person to hire. After our first in-person chat, it was evident that she should be the one on our birthing journey with us! Her calm, collected, gentle demeanor won me over immediately, and her vast amount of knowledge on positioning, hospital protocols, pain management, and inductions were exactly what I was looking for. She provided me with a clear rundown of what to expect of her services and made herself available to me 24/7 for the last several weeks of my pregnancy. When the time came, she arrived prompt and ready -- she really set the tone for my birthing experience by setting up the room in a way that spoke to me. I could tell that she really listened when we had our chat about my desires for my birthing experience. When I was hesitant to ask for an extra gown, Kendra spoke up for me and when the lights were too bright for my liking, she adjusted them without even being asked. She retrieved extra towels, made the bathroom look like an oasis, had tidy throw-up bags readily available, and kept me calm throughout the ins and outs of my induction. She was very reassuring, very gentle as I transitioned through the stages, and very encouraging when I didn't think I could do anymore. She stepped in and kept herself close when my husband needed a break, which was a big deal for me. She held my hand through the most intense contractions while whispering gentle, helpful reminders to me along the way. After the baby arrived, she made sure we were all settled before she departed, and then checked in the very next day. I couldn't be more please with our experience and I highly recommend Kendra for your birthing experience.

Kendra is an amazing doula and an incredible person all-around. She came to us highly recommended, and we are so happy we were able to work with her during the birth of our child. She is kind, caring, knowledgeable, funny, and constantly looking for ways to help make the birth experience better for you. I had a lot of fears going into the birth and she put in extra work to help coach me through my concerns before labor even started. She brought a calm, caring energy to the labor room. I loved her candles, aromatherapy, and all the strategies she had on hand for managing pain and anxiety. We are so glad she was part of our birth experience!
