We were lucky enough to work with Ashley and Shana together as a team. It was one of the best parts of my pregnancy. We had not planned to have kids, but Here I was at 35 with no idea what I was doing and a ton of anxiety about pregnancy and the whole birth process. We wanted someone with lots of knowledge on comfort measures, that we felt comfortable with, and most of all they got our sense of humor! Ok maybe that last one is not so important. But I was immediately drawn to Ashley’s calming and comforting nature. It was also important to me that our doula was able to support my husband as my primary birth partner and help him to feel confident in his role, offering him advice and reassurance. She was very knowledgeable and open to whatever we had in mind for our birth plan. This was really important to me because I still wasn’t really even sure what I wanted for my birth. They provided resources to help guide us through the many decisions that we needed to make. Throughout the entire process they were sure to provide info and facilitate our decision making, but made sure my husband and I were making the decision that we were most comfortable with. Ashley checked in with me after each prenatal appt, and was available for all my questions and panicky random texts!

My birth ended up being very long, and my doulas were with me every step of the way. Ashley has a vast knowledge of positions and comfort measures to help ease the discomfort of contractions and ease baby into the right position. Her presence is calming, comforting, and reassuring. She made me feel empowered and in charge of my experience.

I can not recommend Ashley enough. I am so happy that I was able to have her with me throughout my pregnancy and through the birth of our son. He is 9 weeks now and Ashley has continued to be a part of our lives, and I hope she will continue to be. She is there when I have questions or breastfeeding issues, or if I just need to cry.

Ashley provided everything and more than she promised. She never took over my husband's role in my birth, but helped him support me. This was my third birth and by far the best birth expierence out of all my births. She also included my children (11 year old girl and 12 year old boy) who wanted to be present for the birth. Even though my skin changed his mind about being in the room for the birth, my daughter started the whole time and she did an amazing job with her, while my husband was supporting me. She was attentive to know when I needed to change positions to keep labour progressing. Even though my daughter was asynclitic (we didn't realize that until after she was born), she was born 4 hours after getting to the hospital. Ashley met me at the hospital (my choice, because I didn't really think I was in labor on my way to the hospital) and stayed until after my daughter was born. She made sure we were comfortable with everything before she left. I would highly recommend Ashley, she also keeps a detailed log with a timeline and everyone's names involved in the delivery!
