Ola is a certified birth and postpartum doula, as well as, as well as a HypnoBirthing educator. Ola has a first-hand experience of HypnoBirthing technique, using it during her daughter’s birth. She came to birth work after a successful career as a human rights lawyer. After giving birth to her daughter, Ola became fascinated by the transformational power of giving birth. She found her true calling in supporting other women on their journey to motherhood. In her work, Ola combines an evidence-based approach, with an emphasis on mindfulness and relaxation. Ola is a culturally attuned doula. She has travelled extensively and learnt a lot about different cultures and cultural practices. She has travelled to and studied in more than 25 countries. She speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian. In her work, she uses the qualities of the heart and mind together. She is constantly working on her professional development – she is trained with Spinning Babies, an approach that gives a comprehensive plan for pregnancy preparation and labor activities to ease birth. She is also trained with Penny Simkin how to support survivors who give birth. Having a regular spiritual practice allows her to be grounded in any situation and 100% present for her clients, when they need her. When not attending births and taking care of families, she does production for a Grammy-award winning children’s musician Dan Zanes and his wife Claudia Eliaza, who are leading the sensory-friendly music movement in the U.S. She spends free afternoons with her daughter, cooking together, doing art projects and Montessori work. Her biggest passions are live music, meditation and HypnoBirthing. She serves Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Northern New Jersey, Connecticut and Hudson Valley, including Rockland County, Orange County, Ulster County and Dutchess County.

My husband and I are so glad we invested in both the Hypnobirthing classes as well as the Doula services with Olga. She was a calm, consistent, helpful and honest partner during our classes as well during labor and delivery. In addition to her support to me during laboring and delivery, she was also a great source of knowledge and comfort to my husband as our team worked together.
The course content she shared for the hypnobirthing coursework helped us not only to feel more confident leading up to and during the birth, but the skills are applicable to other aspects of life. We highly recommend Olga as a partner to any family!
Olga has an amazing presence - she is incredibly calming and supportive, competent and quietly confident in a way that helped me to stay calm and comfortable throughout labor.
As first time parents, my husband and I were looking for a doula to help keep us from getting overwhelmed during the birth process and keep us both calm. We were quite late to line up a doula, but Olga worked with us quickly to answer questions and provided suggestions and templates. I was confident she supported and understood my preferences. I wanted someone who would support me in laboring without much intervention, but also wasn’t dogmatic about any one approach. Olga fit that.
When I went into labor, Olga came to our house and helped me to labor there before we transferred to the hospital. She gave us the confidence to labor at home for awhile and she helped us to decide when to head to the hospital. At home and at the hospital, she suggested positions for comfort and talked me through breathing exercises. She made sure my husband was able to support and comfort me. With her quiet voice and calm presence, she talked me through what I later learned were hypno-birthing techniques. It was an amazing combination and I spent labor in a surprisingly zen state.
Once baby arrived, Olga took pictures to capture the moment and quietly left my husband and I to recover. When we got home, I also discovered she had washed a load of towels that had gotten wet after I labored in the bathtub for a little while. Olga has checked in several times since baby arrived and even helped me figure out a baby carrying wrap when she did her postpartum visit.
I highly recommend Olga and will be calling her if we have a second child.
As first time parents, we initially didn’t think we wanted a Doula. But as the due date got closer we found that having someone who knows the birth process better than we do would likely be beneficial. We were looking for someone who can help work with the natural delivery process within the body to do what we could to ensure a timely and safely delivery of our baby boy and recognized that a Doula was that person- we wanted someone who could help us be more comfortable with this process and Olga turned out to be exactly that.
After being induced at 38 weeks, Olga allowed me to reach a point during delivery where I was comfortable with being uncomfortable and not necessarily in control- a point that was okay and allowed my body to take control. I was only somewhat conscious of it during labor, but she was by my side or swapping out with my husband for the entire time- providing position suggestions, counter pressure or touch for relaxation, and helping us to understand what was happening. She even brought some lovely candles that we used along with the music my husband was playing to trying to make a delivery room as comfortable as possible. Our baby boy arrived faster than anyone was expecting and Olga was even able to take some pictures for us- something we didn’t realize at the time we would have wanted but now treasure having.
She stayed until I was sent to a post-partum room, followed up with us while in the hospital with recovery advice and lactation consultant advice, and then visited us at home to see the baby and check in on us within 3 days of going home.
For something we didn’t think we initially wanted, my husband and I both agree that we can’t imagine having done this process in any other way- in part due to Olga- her caring nature and her expertise in making an unknown for us more comfortable.
And now we have our beautiful son.
Olga has been a professional, knowledgeable and helpful doula for us for the first 3 months of our daughter's life. Olga was always very punctual, could offer advice on a range of baby care and sleep questions, and when she could not, she would do research and send me additional links and information the next day. She is a warm and caring person that treats every baby like family. She also took the initiative to help beyond feeding and staying with the baby overnight -- she would clean and sterilize all bottles and even clean our dishes left in the sink, which was such a big help for us. Finally, she was also professional and knowledgeable about breastfeeding and maternal care and helped with any issues that came up, offered advice and outside research as needed. Based on this, I could also see how she would be an excellent birth doula.
I highly recommend Olga to all mothers and I hope I will have the chance to work with her again in the future.
Huge thanks to Olga from me, my husband and little baby Savva. It is my second child, with my first I had c-section, so this time Vbac was my goal. I made it with Olga’s help! From the day one she was very helpful and supportive. She provided us with really important information so we made right decisions about birth plan and all the getting ready part. During the labor Olga helped me to go through contractions, supported me and actually was the leader of our small delivery team. The doctor and healthcare team at the hospital were fantastic as well, but it’s impossible to overstress the importance of Olga’s work, her support, care and professionalism. When you go to the hospital well informed, well prepared and with a clear plan, that’s a completely different story).
Vbac was not easy for me at all, but after 3 weeks I don’t remember pain, I remember the magic of giving birth to a beautiful human being. And I am so thankful to our doula for letting us have this experience and these memories.

Olga is very helpful and resourceful. She was there whenever and wherever I needed her both in daytime and in the middle of the night. She has the best quality in following up and answering my questions. In addition she was informative on how to prepare before going to the delivery room. Thanks to her I knew what items I needed to prepare and take to the delivery room. She described to me the different options I might face in good detail. She clarified most of my doubts and helped me to prepare to ask questions in the delivery room. She also helped me practice on the different techniques I could use to lessen the pain during labor. She also advised me on my nutrition before and after the delivery. During delivery she stayed all through the night with me and advised, supported and helped me go through it all.
Having Olga befor and duing labour and birth is the best decision i ever made.
Generaylly I could say Olga is a professional, caring and reliable doula I would recommend.
Olga was very supportive before, during and after the labor. She never skipped one single detail that I asked for. My labor room looked like a vacation suite with all the candles and essential oils in the air. I don't think I could have managed a natural birth without her.
