I would highly recommend Ruby! We had originally hired Ruby as a post partum doula to come help out during the day. I ended up having a very traumatic birth and needed time to heal, so we asked if Ruby could do nights instead. She was incredibly accomodating in helping us with nights. I felt comforted knowing how well she cared for our newborn. She was always professional, helpful and communicative. I would recommend Ruby to anyone looking for a doula!

Ruby is an absolute gift! I am eternally grateful to have had as my doula for my first baby. Ruby’s professional and personal life experiences have given her deep and profound insight and wisdom not just around pregnancy and the birth process, but also around the human experience, at large, which helped me navigate my own time of great transition from maiden to mother.
Throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum, Ruby devotedly offered the most authentic physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support, guidance, empowerment, encouragement and nourishment. She made herself available to talk to me whenever any fears, doubts or crises of confidence arose as my husband, and I prepared to cross the threshold into parenthood.
And when my birth did not go as planned, she intuitively knew how to comfort me and hold space. She created a safe and meaningful container of presence, respect and love for me to be vulnerable and express and process my feelings on the path to healing.
It is clear that Ruby puts her heart and soul into this sacred work. She is passionate about walking with women, hand in hand, through the transformative rite of passage that is birth, not just as a doula, but as a friend, sister, confidant, and beyond. I feel blessed to have found Ruby, I cannot recommend her enough!

From the moment I met Ruby, I knew it would be perfect. She was so attentive, loved my fur babies, and I felt she actually heard everything I wanted for my first birth (and what I didn’t want). I didn’t want chaos, I wanted to feel strong and empowered, and I knew birth is magical. I wanted that magic. Ruby not only knows and feels that way, but she provided all the support for me to ensure I felt everything I wanted and needed. She was there for every step of the way as my partner and I were very disconnected. She was there for me as soon as I got to the hospital. She walked with me throughout the hospital with so many stairs because I just said let’s keep going (even through the rush of hormones was making me physically sick). She wanted me to eat, wanted me to drink, she supported my body and mind more than I even knew at the time. We entered my room together and she immediately set up the tub, with lights and little fake candles (hospital birth, rules apply lol), and music (that I told her I wanted to hear during our session before my birth weeks before). She reminded me the whole time of who I was, what I wanted and my goals were, and how strong I am. Even when I was terrified of the next part, she was there. There aren’t enough words to describe the support, love and connection I felt with Ruby, but I knew she was there for me and my baby the whole time. She was an amazing support during my first birth, and I think that if she wasn’t there with me for my first, I would not have been so confident with my speedy second lol.

Ruby really tapped into her indigenous roots to facilitate and allow me to have the most authentic, powerful, and autonomous birthing experience I've had to date. Ruby's knowledge of womb work, her sweet but strong personality guided me through my first unmedicated home birth. Ruby was gentle with me through the chaos of rounding up my other children, very helpful in setting up the laboring tub with my husband, and kept me grounded while I endured the most painful contractions. She sang to me, held me, and reminded me of my inner strength. I am so grateful to have had this experience with her. I would do it 1000 times again.
