Yana was highly recommended to us. We knew instantly we would love to work with her from our first meeting. Yana combines her knowledge and experience with keen and wonderful intuition, which provides a most holistic approach to her care services. One can tell she loves helping mamas and families, and that this is also a way of life. Yana is a beautiful soul who cares deeply, who has an open and flexible mind and manner, bringing unique perspective and approach to each new situation.
No matter the circumstance, through thick or thin, through screaming and crying, fussy babies and tired, underslept parents, Yana's adaptabilty, calming nature and infectious smile immediately tempers the atmosphere, instilling confidence and calm. This non-prescriptive method allows for growth of all those involved.
Yana feels like a close friend and family member you would put your utmost trust in. My partner and I loved her advice and suggestions, and continue to find them very useful.
If we hadn't moved cities, we'd have loved to still work with her. In a heartbeat, we would recommend Yana to anyone looking for an extremely knowledgeable, sincere, generous, capable and kind-hearted person.
Thank you ever so much again, Yana! We love you!
Yana is extremely dedicated to her job and the mamas she proudly represents - she was made for this job. From day one, she was very attentive and thoughtful, and instantly started providing us with the resources we needed to get us through the process with ease. On the day of our birth, she was there for me from the moment we called straight through to the end, and was also extremely supportive for my husband - this being our first child, it really was helpful and so appreciated. I personally found her postnatal services so incredibly helpful - she made my recovery much easier by providing us with information and recommendations on must-do's and what to avoid, healthy and fresh home cooked dishes, and different blends of herbs and teas to help speed up the healing process. Yana is truly one-of-a-kind, and she puts her heart and soul into her job. Thank you Yana for making our first birth experience so memorable.
Yana comes with a wonderful energy- confident, unconditionally loving, tender, and insightful. Yana has been so helpful to us when taking care of our little one from just a few months old until he was almost a year. She has been highly responsive to our son's needs whether he struggled with naps or just needed an extra embrace before bedtime. We totally trust Yana with our little one!
I was referred to Yana when my twins were two months old. I had a busy day coming up and needed some help taking care of my babies while I went out for short periods of time.
Yana was so helpful that we decided to have her over about once a week for the next several months! She helped feed, hold and soothe the babies. It was clear from the beginning that we could trust her to give great care to the babies. If the babies were both napping, she was quick to ask what else we needed help with. She often would assist us with folding laundry and cleaning-up the kitchen whiched allowed me to get some much needed rest.
By booking Yana in advance, we could plan for me or my husband to run errands while still having two adults at home to help care for the babies. Yana's help gave us time to look after things around the house and take care of ourselves.
I would highly recommend Yana to any family needing postpartum help!
Really, Lord moves in mysterious ways . I’ve met Yana on an art and crafts in the community center way months befor . I was pregnant and lonely in a new country. Everything was new for me as well as my new condition) Yana is a person one in a million! She helped to figure out what is going on and how it should be , stay calm , listen to my baby and my body. I would never stop be grateful to the Universe for Yana and her great help, her empathy and her understanding friendly soul. I’m so happy she was with us during the most important time in our lives and after baby arrived ) If you have any doubts about doula leave them and move to meet your baby with the most comfortable and professional person , great moma of 4 , loving wife and perfect companion in your life to stay to with during all these hours and days. Thank you, Yana ! I’ll never forget!
Yana was my birth and postpartum doula and I’m happy with all her help and support during that challenging time. She was reliable and competent. She also took nice pictures that are good memories for our family now????
I sent Yana a desperate text when I was really struggling as a new mother. She showed up at my door 15 minutes later. I felt instantly comfortable with her. I cried and she made me tea and did my dishes while we talked. Then she sent me to rest while she took care of my baby and cleaned up my messy kitchen and made me nourishing food. I hired her for the next three weeks to help me out at home. It was the best investment I have ever made. She was extraordinary with my 1 year old and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!
Whilst I was pregnant, we weren't entirely sure we really needed a postpartum doula, but I'm so glad we chose to work with one and even more glad that we chose Yana.
Our baby girl was born a little early by planned c section and I didn't realize how tricky it would be to move around and do the simplest things when we all got home. In addition, the fact that our daughter was quite small meant that she needed to be fed even more often, meaning there was little time for anything else.
Yana made sure me and my husband had tasty healthy food to eat at all times and she always made a big batch so there were leftovers for later in the day, / the next day / for the freezer etc. Yana was also a wonderfully useful extra pair of hands around the house. She took care of vacuuming and cleaning for us - especially important because we have a dog who tends to shed a lot. She was also great at taking care of our daughter when I needed to be prompted to go and take a shower / take a nap / eat a meal etc.
Yana clearly has a lot of experience with babies and mamas and I felt comfortable with her from day 1. She has a calm, gentle and reassuring presence which is just what I needed as a first time mum. Even more important to me, she isn't the type of person to tell you what to do, or how to look after your baby. Those things were up to me and that meant a lot to me. Having said that, if I wanted her thoughts on something, she would often have some helpful suggestions.
I would definitely recommend Yana as a post partum doula : )
Our experience with Yana was wonderful. It felt like having one more member of our family around to gives us support and reassurance throughout the most surreal and amazing day of our lives. Dave (my husband) and I are so lucky to have had Yana before, during and after the arrival of our lovely baby girl, Sofia. We will be forever grateful to Yana and aside from continuing to be in touch with her she left us with the most beautiful momentos (photos and videos) that she was able to cacpture that day and a few days after Sofia's birth. She also taught me and helped me make an elephant stuffed toy for my girl! I wish for all new mom's (and dad's) to be able to have such a magical experience as we did, and having Yana is a great start! We recommend her to all families who are looking for some additional support and/or a warm and friendly person who is always there to listen and provide advice.
I am very grateful to have had Yana recommended to me as a postpartum doula. She embodies everything you’d want in a doula—she’s caring, supportive and knowledgeable. I trusted her with my baby wholeheartedly. She made my life a whole lot brighter!
Yana has an exceptionally nurturing, warm and compassionate presence. We were incredibly fortunate to have her as one of our doulas for the birth of our second child. Yana helped immensely with our older son during the birth, and I would highly recommend her to any family growing in size.
Yana has been an amazing support in my postpartum journey. I struggled with breastfeeding issues both latching pain and emotional defeat because of it. Yana came in at every visit and offered understanding, words of encouragement and helped to bolster my confidence. She has a wonderfully gentle, nurturing nature that makes her easy to talk to and you can tell she listens with her heart and works from there. She quickly felt like family, and you could tell that she loves what she does in the way she interacts with mama and the baby. She was truly an angel!
Yana was a great help for our family postpartum. After a long and difficult birth I ended up with a complication that required me to stay at home for over a month and have homecare nurses visit us at least once a week. Yana helped take care of my baby while I was recovering and dealing with medical issues, she cooked delicious meals, provided emotional support, did grocery shopping and some household chores. She brought her sling and showed me some basics of babywearig that I used later when I recovered. She took beautiful professional photos of me and my baby that we will treasure for a long time. Yana went above and beyond to help us through the tough time, was always respectful and reliable and I would highly recommend her as a postpartum doula.
